Amyjo - working for it sucks, but it will be worth it! I'm in your boat. I think I've got 14 pounds to go before I'm where I want to be and I've just come to the realization that it's not just about the weight. It's about the body. And I'm gonna have to work hard if I'm going to get the firm, toned body that I want. We can do it!

Marie - yeah, we may be party sisters. I've gotten pretty good at avoiding hangovers. Lots of B vitamins + tons of water = non-hangovers. I always drink at leat 32 ounces of water before going to bed after a night of drinking. And I'm pretty good about super-hydrating all day before drinking if I know I'll be going out. It helps

Hello all

Ugh, you will not believe what I got myself into this time. About 3 weeks ago a former student of mine said her guinea pig was sick and wanted some advice. So I gave her some and about 3 days later she said he was moving around more... and was getting better. Last Friday she said that the guinea pig wasn't getting any better and her mom didn't want to spend the money on the vet and they just wanted to get rid of the poor thing, she wanted to know if I would take him. So I said yes, I can always use another critter in the Biology room.... besides, I figured I'd nurse him back to health and then give him back to her.

Well, she brought it in this morning. I spent 5 minutes with it and realized it's hind legs are paralyzed. Something had to have happened recently to break it's back. I'm just beside myself. I called the vet in town and the receptionist said they only do cats and dogs but she'd ask one of the guys if they would look at the guinea pig and confirm my diagnosis... then they could euthanize it for 23 bucks.

At this point I'm just so mad! It took me 5 minutes to see it was paralyzed. Obsiously this girl knew and wanted to get rid of it. Ugh and to think the poor thing has been hurting for 3 weeks. And, I'd call her mother but her mother brought it in!!! What kind of a freaking world is this???

oh man.....that is so sad...this is going to sound harsh but...is there any way you can..."dispatch him" without causing pain? My friend had a rat that got sick and same deal- so expensive to put him down...I had some pain pills, strong ones- I gave her one and she gave it to him ( tiny time capsules) and she said he just went to sleep....I would Def. tell your friend what you think....you don't put that kind of thing on your friends.

I'm going to type this fast before I get bonked off again. This morning I managed to answer one post (I think) before it went bonkers and told me page could not be displayed. UGH!! So I've been w/out 3FC ALL day!
All is well here. Well, besides taking 2 spoonfulls of a strawberry cheesecake blizzard of hubbies. Ya know, the strawberries were the best part of it? So looks like when I can get some fresh ones I'll love them. Other than that I've been doing ok in eating. I haven't added the things I'm supposed to--but that's ok. I seem to be less tired this way. That's a good thing.
Hope you all have a great day. Hopefully tomorrow I don't get bonked off and can actually do personals!!!

I just had to get in a "YAY!! SUPERSIZED IS BACK!!!" It's SO good to see you around again!

Jane: Thanks for understanding. I wish I would reach for some other form of comfort, but food seems to be the old standby. I never considered myself an emotional eater, but maybe I am?? I really can't explain the McDonald's any other way. And, another congrats to you on the size 10!! Doesn't it feel wonderful??

Abbie: As long as you keep at it, the weight will eventually come off.

Star: I love how you are prepared -- that's great! And, I hope your bruised butt gets to feeling better.

Amy: Exercise is a GREAT thing! You'll love it once you get going again!

Marie: I love "ya can't accidentally shoot them in the crotch"! That's hilarious! I already think the Karma is beginning to work on my side. I saw DH for the first time in a long time today (He's been working up in Philadelphia.) He kept going on about how great I looked. And, if he wasn't saying that, he was complaining about the new girlfriend and her mother! He is already in very deep with this girl and her family, but he's sick of them all! I can't wait to see him get out of this one. It'll be nice to just sit back and watch all that will unfold!

Shimma: That's terrible. I don't know what to tell you. I love animals, but vet prices can be a bit ridiculous! Maybe Theo'sgirl can give you some advice since she's our resident animal expert.

Brenda: It sounds like you're doing great as usual. Look at how close you are to your goal!!!
