If you read the book you will see that there is no "regular Atkins"

There are 4 phases: Induction, OWL (ongoing weightloss), pre-maintenence and maintenence. He stresses the importance of doing each phase, although you can stay on Induction as long as you like.
Atkins is supposed to be a way of eating for the rest of your life, not just a diet to swing back and forth from (like yo-yo dieting). Depending on how much weight I lose in these 2 weeks I will probably stay on Induction until I lose at least half of my weight but probably closer to 3/4 of it.
