What promise have you made to yourself regarding your weightloss journey? Do you have a reminder that you use/see everyday to help you realize how far you have come and where you will never go back to?



I have promised myself that for every pound lost, it will NEVER come back because I stopped taking care of myself. I promised myself that I will learn to love me the way I am, no matter if I am at goal or not and that I am WORTH anything anyone else is.

I have a picture of my mom and me at the beach in FL. It was taken in July of '03 and I see it everday. It's digusting, I don't even have a face, just fat. I use that as a reminder and I have a bracelet that barely fits around my wrist. I wear it and I know that the looser it gets, the better I am doing! One day soon its actually going to be able to MOVE around my wrist.

I promise myself that I am going to stay with this right until the end, regardless of whether I fall off for a day or if it takes a year to reach my goal. I am seeing changes already and I want to take this right to the end because I feel great.

I'm sick of always being the fat one in the family. So I've told myself that this WOE is exactly how things need to be and truthfully I don't see how I could go back to eating like I had been. I enjoy this and the added benefit is my clothes are fitting better, the flab is coming off and I actually have features I never seen before

I promise myself that I am going to do this. I am going to lose this weight and THIS is the last time I will ever be at this weight again. I promise myself that if I fall off or over indulge on something, I will get myself back on track the moment afterwards, I am not going to wait until the following hour/day/week. And that I am going to take care of myself. I am going to quit smoking, I am going to eat healthy and I am going to learn to appreciate and love myself. I have major problems in that area.

I've promised myself I will stick this out, it hasn't been too tough (I'm on Day 5)
I've also promised myself I'm buying myself a hot new wardrobe when I'm thin and I'm gonna show it off at a club! (I don't know which one, I haven't been to any!)
