I just found this site and am on Day 1 of induction so I guess I better set some goals:

#1: lose 65 pounds preferably by July 1st.
#2: exercise at least 4 times a week
#3: regain my health for my kids
#4: fit back into my size 6 (prepregnancy pants)
#5: stay in control of my eating (COE tendencies)
I'm sure I'll think of more, thanks!

Default Short Term Goal

My short term goal, just made today after reading all of your inspiring posts, is to lose 40 lbs by my birthday/mother's day (May 12/13)! The fact that we're spending that weekend at the beach needs to stay in the back of my head!!
I'm new to the website, and love it so far, I look forward to getting to know many of you!

An update on my weight goal of 25.5 lbs by June. Its not going to happen as its the middle of May and I only lost 10 lbs [lost 2 lbs per month]instead of the 4 I planned. I now have 15.5 to loss.

My new idea is to reach my weight goal by the end of this Year. That more doable as I lost 10 in the first half of the year now hopefully I will be able to loss the last 10 by the end of the year.

my goals for 2007 - which is over in 5 months - yikes!
1) stick to low carb and get down to my goal of 145 - its going to be tough thats almost 10 pounds a month but realistically as long as i reach a healthy bmi and am more active and have a low body fat% the number doesnt really matter to much so.... between 145-155 i guess
2) make sure i am active every day and go to the gym 4 times a wk
3) eat lots of fruits(after induction) and veg and less preservatives
4) tone up!

I think I'm going to join in on this!

I hesitate to post a weight goal, because my body is so stocky and muscular that I've no idea how I'll look or feel at lower weights, so:

By Christmas of this year, I expect and intend to be wearing a size 4-6 in most brands and styles of clothing.

I also intend to continue toning my muscles and lessening this remaining layer of fat, so that when warmer weather returns next year I'll be confident enough to wear my first two-piece swimsuit. (Turbo Jam, don't fail me now! )

I will also improve my bellydancing through both home-based practice and at least one more class. Right now I don't have the money, but I will FIND a way. Guaranteed.

I think I want to get in on this too, even though the year is more than 1/2 over. My goal for the remainder of the year is to get under 200lbs....that would be a loss of 50+ lbs. That's roughly 10lbs per month for the next 4-1/2 months. So, if I stay on plan, exercise and drink plenty of water I should be able to do it.

I think I'll join you late-comers in posting my goals

By the end of 2007:

-- I plan to be at my goal weight (135) and be maintaining by the time I ring in 2008. I've got 18 pounds to go, so I'm not far off.

-- I'm shooting for a size 7/8 or 9/10 in jeans. Right now I'm ALMOST in 11's...so I'm thinking losing 18 more pounds and getting some exercise to tone will allow me to drop one or two more jeans sizes.

3. Pilates - 5X

4. Weights - 5X

If I don't make goal weight with this plan - "oh well" - at least I'll be healthier and fitter - which is my ultimate goal!

How's every else doing on their 2007 Goals?

My pedometer went whacky - I estimate that I'm getting over 10,000 steps a day (if memory serves on distances ) . . . nowhere near the other goals BUT I am healthier and fitter! Losing inches too. I think I've found a Pilates class at the Y I can make it too - just couldn't commit to my dvd. I'm making weights my #1 priority the rest of the year - just gotta DO IT! Revising weight goal to the 180's by Dec. 31 - I always seem to be waaay too optimistic in my goals in January - something about that whole looong year of possibilities stretched ahead of me?

Miss ya arkiekel/ladyadnerb/jokemo & chickadee! Hope you'll come by & say Hi!

1. loose 100lbs
2. get back into shape
3. build some muscle (I want some sexy non-batwing type arms by summer)
4. learn consistency
5. be able to wear shorts without worrying about my cottage cheese type legs making a spectacle of themselves.

Man! I didnt do very good with this! I sure was gung ho when I typed this. I even remember the feeling, and was ready to get the job done!

I still need to work on all 5 of these goals for 2008

My goal for 2008, is to just stay on target with my low carb eating. If I do I would hope everything will fall into place. Um other than exercise... I am so lazy, I need motivation from somewhere, I know the couch isn't providing any,,,
In 2007 I was convinced I didn't have the will power to loose a single pound or put the stops on my gaining.
