    Sunday: 1586 calories, 883 deficit, no exercise
  • I'm behind. So far behind, in fact, that I can't remember what day I last posted calories, and I'm too tired to look. Bah. Everything today is LATE! Dinner will be done in about 5 minutes... at 8 PM! That only gives me 4 hours before bedtime to settle. Grrr.
    Calories today are: 1760.
    We went out to Cold Lake, and DF wanted to eat at McDicks. I asked for a nutritional guide, and scanned the list. It was hopeless, nothing! So I settled on a Deli Sandwich, A Muffin (for the road, had the drive back to our town), and a diet coke. Blarg.
  • Yesterday - 1428 in, 3353 out. I was really tired & craving more food (even though I had eaten a large dinner) so I hit the elliptical for 30 minutes instead. Now that I know how many calories housework burns, I actually enjoy doing things like scrubbing the floor or vacuuming, because I am getting my heart rate up AND making everyone else happy in the process.

    Valerie - You're right - it IS the weekly average I should be looking at. Thanks for the re-direction there My average for the past week is 1445, with only 23% fat. Not great but not bad. My average calories burned is 3320 - 1875 deficit per day. Wow. I wonder why I'm not losing more weight. I've been anal about recording everything too....hmmmmm.

    Guys, I have been sooo lazy. I stopped journaling my food at home over the past couple days. Unfortunately, I've undertaken the task of stuffing my favor bags for the wedding reception. Hershey's kisses and Andes mints. I'd like to tell you all that I haven't been sneaking chocolate...but I'd be lying through my teeth!

    I had a nasty headache since Thursday lasting till Saturday and really didn't eat anything during that time exceot for a few kisses. My teeth were hurting very badly, so sucking on the chocolate felt..soothing? I dunno, I finally broke down and purchased some slimfast because I couldn't chew. I know I did not consume very many calories even with the candy. But...I didn't eat anything of nutritional consequence.

    On top of that, I threw my knee out last Wednesday and have not been able to dance.

    Anyways! I have not been eating exactly as good as I'd like to. Last night I had pizza for dinner. I had left over pizza for dinner tonight to. I have been doing very well in keeping my portions under control. I had three small pieces of pizza, when the norm would have been five...and then back for more later. I was good... very proud of myself to maintain self control while being exposed to binge food.

    I have been doing this because I'm actually afraid to lose at the moment as I was fitted to my dress last Wednesday. I'd like to stay where I am until after the wedding. ( December ninth.) I don't want my dress to be too big!

  • Ally, I can definitely understand your not wanting to lose right now. Just take it easy and keep things where they are as best you can. Congratulations on the upcoming nuptials...and on keeping control where the pizza's concerned!


    I am going to go ahead and log my calories for the day. I know they're low, but as I posted in the Chicks in Control forum, I read some really upsetting words earlier today and I'm afraid that if I eat much more I'll end up purging.

    I was high on calories today but at least I had a small deficit and got exercise in!

  • Hi! New here...

    So I am 6 days into my new diet and doing good. I've lost 4 lbs, but I know 2 lbs is water weight because the first two days I peed like crazy and lost 2.5 lbs. I'm also pretty sure my milk supply (I am nursing) has finally settled out a bit so that might be another 1/2 lb, I was making WAY too much milk. (In the morning I could feed him and then immediately go pump another 16 ounces.... )

    Anyway, I did have one very very bad day last week, I went to a party and it was too soon in my diet, I wasnt really armed with the best strategy. I had saved about 300 calories for the party and went full but there were no "good" choices and rather than have nothing I started sampling and the next thing I knew I was in an eating frenzy.

    I know for me sticking as close to southbeach as I can works best.

    Day 1 - 2161 Ran
    Day 2 - 2020
    Day 3 - 3600 ( ) Ran
    Day 4 - 1861
    Day 5 - 2350 (but I ran 7 miles so 2300 was target)
    Day 6 - 2114 Ran

    Because I am nursing my target is 2000 calories, plus if I run over 4 miles I add 100 calories/ additional mile.

    If I lose more than 2 lbs next week I will have to increase my calories (boo hoo) to protect my milk supply

    Ennay good job keeping total of your calories. I know I'm high sometimes also but at least we keep up the journaling no matter what!

  • Introducing myself to all you ladies. Not new to 3FC, but I just need as many people to talk to as possible!

    And yes martini, I am following you... hehe HI!

    Anyway, I'm Fae. Like all you ladies, I am a calorie counter, but I am not a belly dancer. Actually, I'm a fencer. En garde! Unfortunitely, I haven't fenced in a long time.. ever since I moved, I have no idea who I could go and fence with, there are no fencing clubs close by. I miss it.. Im planning on getting a foil and just poking the walls. *G*

    I ate 1394 calories today.. I think (i forgot to measure the cashews before I ate them today.. 2 handfulls. Boyfriend and I estimated that it was a half a cup!) and 30 minutes of cardio workout. As soon as I get my bum up, Im going to be doing some much-needed cleaning, maybe that will burn a couple more!

    I've been doing so well this week on my diet, counting calories, and exercising then I blew it with taco bell and tomorrow is weigh in day. I think I sabatased (sp?) myself! Oh, well tomorrow is another day and will do better this week.

  • I just had to share - I weighed myself today. I lost 2 lbs this week! So over the last two weeks, I've lost 3.8 lbs. I hope the pounds keep dropping through the holidays. Cheers everyone!
