When I was diagnosed with Celiac disease, I had to give up all foods with wheat, oats, barley or rye in them -- and you'd be surprised at how many foods have barley malt flavoring or wheat starch.

After giving up all that kind of stuff, there is no way I'm giving up some things like chocolate. I just control the portions and the calories.
