Maybe it's all the coffee I drank with the all-afternoon math homework marathon I did. As I've stated, I think, I'm a VERY overage college student lol and need a LOT of caffeine these days.
So, maybe it's the coffee, but I had a little revelation a while ago: I'm at a healthy weight for 5'2" (approximately) and happy with it. Be that as it may, I STILL would like to be, if not at my ideal weight (see ticker for goal), at least staying where I am now. I've spent much time in life getting here and I just feel better joint-wise at a lower weight.
BUT, I am not creating enough of a calorie deficit at the moment to guarantee the weight will not keep creeping up on me.
I'm not into deprivation and I LOVE food and consider it one of life's blessings. I have a good metabolism, apparently, but am no longer the proverbial spring chicken (My doctor actually SAID that to me at my last visit, although not in the context of weight; I thought it was rude but who cares lol.)
But, anyway, I had this revelation: I don't really need or want to eat much above 2000 calories on most days for the rest of my life. I feel too full when I do that and I can't maintain my weight on that as I age. Up to 2000, fine; above 2000, a little too much. (That is not a sentence, but you get the drift).
So I'm declaring a personal little Valentine's Day Week Challenge to go a full seven days, starting today, BELOW the 2000 calorie level.
That's it, here's the infrastructure. I will update in subsequent posts:
Day 1, Feb. 14, Calories: TBD
Day 2, Feb. 15, Calories: TBD
Day 3, Feb. 16, Calories: TBD
Day 4, Feb. 17, Calories: TBD
Day 5, Feb. 18, Calories: TBD
Day 6, Feb. 19, Calories: TBD
Day 7, Feb. 20, Calories: TBD
Well, as has been stated by moi before, I weigh daily and log it privately but today is the OFFICIAL weekly weigh-in day and I am OFFICIALLY up .6 to 127.2. Am fine with that.
Have been extremely lax in the exercise/activity department. I use the excuse of too much homework due to my way overage college student life, but in reality I physically, mentally and spiritually need to take the time to get in daily walking and some resistance work at least twice a week, plus stay active generally all day. So returning to posting daily exercise/activity here and for yesterday, Feb. 14, I did get my 10,000+ steps in and kept the Fitbit happy.
