  • Quote: Hello All! I am finally back in the land of the living, as far as cell phones are concerned, and can now start tracking calories again. I gave up mobile tracking a few months ago as my poor, pitiful iphone 4 couldn't handle the pressure..So, I've got a shiny new phone that needs a counting app..I've used MyFitnessPal and SparkPeople in the past..Which one do y'all like?
I really like MyFitnessPal, it is very easy to use! I love it.
  • I use MyNetDiary. I think it is the fastest one to use.
  • I use to use Friday and just installed it but it is really slow, going lot TRY some of the suggestions here.
  • I find MyFitnessPal works the best for me and has the best database.
  • Hey! Just wanted to chime in. My favorite app is MyNetDiary. While it doesn't have as large of a database as said, Myfitnesspal & whatnot, it's growing... what I like about it is if you weigh food on a scale like I do, it automatically knows the calories by grams / oz / etc. No hassle like I had with MFP.

It's pretty nice! And as you lose it changes your recommended calorie intake for you so you don't need to worry about it.
  • i didn't know that MFP syncs with fitbit! I'm excited about that I stopped using it soley because I got a fit bit and dont like keeping a lot of seperate logs.
  • Im new today posting anyway Twish, Im with you height weight wise glad Im not alone at this i could use some support. i use fitness pal also enjoy every ones posts i lost 21 since jan7. i do not know how to use this site well but am hope full someone will reach out a hand up i will try to do the same
  • I tried several apps - after some while of testing I can recommend the YAZIO app.
The basic functions are completely free, and I like the design much more than the MyFitnessPal app… At https://www.yazio.com/en you get a first impression.

At the beginning I was just curious if food tracking would work for me but after two weeks I was definitely convinced. I don’t see that it is necessary anymore to pay for a special diet. I could lose 3 pounds within two weeks just with controlling my eating habits.
  • MyFitnessPal
  • My Fitness Pal on my iPhone. I like the barcode reader feature.
  • My Fitness Pal! I keep my stuff logged every day!
  • Huge MFP fan here. It's so easy to use with it's huge database and recipe import module. I LOVE it! All of my sisters and a number of friends are on it also and we can all encourage each other.
  • I was a sucker for Spark People, until I discovered My Fitness Pal. Still go to Spark people once in awhile, but the mobile version of MFP is great!
  • I'm also a "Lose it" fan - it syncs with my fitbit, it's easy to enter food and you can tell it to repeat meals easily.
  • I was using Lose It until reading this thread and I decided to try My Fitness Pal. I think I like MFP better because food search results are more accurate and they seem to have a bigger database. I also like that I can log into my account anywhere (cellphone or computer) to input calories
