Default Anyone 45years/5'7.5 and 157lbs???

Looking for people similar. I lost 55-57 lbs already but need to lose that last ten-12!! Its tough and I am having a really hard time. Want to meet others around my size, weight and age that are doing it or want to. I want to weigh mid 140's. I work out 90-120 minutes a day/6 days a week and eat 1400-1600 calories. What are you doing to break through to the 140's????

Hi there,

I'm 55, 5'11", lost 55 pounds last year, and now weigh 140, so SOMEWHAT similar stats to yours. What concerns me about your regimen is the amount of exercise. Is that really sustainable for you? It wouldn't be for me. While losing weight I ate about 1,400 calories per day and didn't exercise except for occasional walking. (I only started a formal exercise regimen after 50 of the pounds had already come off.) I started out losing about 1.5 pounds per week, and toward the very end it slowed down to about 0.5 pounds per week, which was fine with me. You might consider lowering your calories just a little and exercising just a little less. If you keep at it, I'm confident the weight will come off.

Hi,

Yes, I think you are probably right. I was actually working out even more during the week, but lowered it to 90 min for Monday-Friday and I do 120 minutes on the weekend because I like to eat a more calories on Saturday. Working out for only an hour seems like no workout at all to me because I love to work out and love the endorphine rush from it. I am having a hard time eating any less than 1400 but maybe if I lower my amount of excersize I won't be as hungry, I am not sure. I keep reading that I should be eating up to 1700 with all the working out that I do, but feel nervous to raise it to that much. Just don't know where to go from here, I guess. So many different opinions out there and I am not sure which is right.
