I'm with Kaplods on this one - twice a day is not obsessive unless you're spending a lot of your time thinking about the scales.

I weigh at least once a day, first thing in the morning. When I exercise (once most days, occasionally twice or even three times) I weigh afterwards, mainly because it entertains me to sometimes be able to say "hey, I've negated breakfast!" Sometimes I weigh before and after a solid toilet experience, because I'm intrigued by how much that weighs. Sometimes I weigh myself to help me resist eating anything when I don't actually need food, because of the "worst case scenario" that Kaplods mentioned.

I don't think any of the above is obsessive though. I'm just tracking data because I find it interesting, and because it helps. And weighing so often and seeing the normal fluctuations is very good at stopping me from fretting if I happen to see an unusually low or high number.

Thank you, Brid! Everyone here has made me realize how I'm not doing such a bad thing.
