I like the texture of fried bacon best but the calorie difference has me thinking...
Of course, it's not all about calories either - but how filling it is (so I don't get hungry). However, I do try to limit animal fats, but I don't eat enough bacon to worry about that.

Hmmm.... I actually bake my bacon in the oven because I can't stand to fry it with the mess it makes! I've never tried really 'cooking' bacon in the micro... I wonder what the difference would be for the count with baking???

I have been eating turkey Bacon recently and love the taste. It is also less messy to cook.

How is that precooked bacon? any good? Is it crispy?

I LOVE precooked microwaved bacon. I micro it on paper plates and towels and blot it very well and give a bite to the dog (she insists lol) and have four slices (70 calories) with a low carb protein shake for a low cal, low carb meal sometimes. It has little saturated fat (especially when blotted) and goes a long way to satisfying the need for something delicious.

I bake mine in the oven as well. It doesn't take long and no mess. I like to crumble one or two slices on top of my cooked veggies.

Meh.. I love bacon. I love it panfried. If I'm gonna eat it, I'm gonna eat it the way I like it. Good info. to keep in mind, but not for me!
