Default Not enough fat?

I track all my stuff on MFP. And for the most part I hit all the recommended amounts except for fat grams. It suggests about 40 for me. However for the past 2 weeks I've been doing this I am around 10-20 under. I am eating all my calories. Getting plenty of protein, fiber, etc. Just not enough fat. Does anyone know if this will negatively effect my weightloss? Any help is greatly appreciated!

Well, I don't know if not getting enough fat will hinder actual weight loss, but it can affect your health. Your body needs fat to function (all of your cell membranes are made with lipids), and good fats, like those from nuts and fish, are good for your heart and other organs. I'm not really sure what the minimum amount of fat is that you need to be healthy. I would guess that you could probably go a little lower than the recommendation (maybe to 30), but 10 is probably too low.

Oops, misread what you were saying... thought you meant you were getting 10 to 20 grams per day. Like I said, 10 grams less probably isn't a huge problem, but 20 grams less might be.

Thank you for your response. I don't think it's been as low as 10 but usually somewhere around 20g.I guess I should look into it.

its myfitnesspal.com, you can track online or apps on phones, or ipads, etc. There's pretty much a way to add your meals where ever you are. It has a huge selection of foods as well. I LOVE it.

Personally I think it is fine. Some weeks you are over, sometimes under on things. Such is life. It is about what happens over time that TRULY matters. As long as you have some variation.
