Good morning, ladies! I haven't posted in a while because I thought I was going to shoot for another 5 pounds, but then ended up enjoying maintenance. Not sure if I am going to lose more weight, but I'm trying to stick between 1500-1700 which is well below maintenance on the weekdays, but I have a little fun on the weekends...but, I'm now being cautious of what I eat on the weekends so I don't have major calorie overload (I wasn't paying attention to that for 3 weekends!!). Anyway, I've been keeping up with the thread, but just haven't posted...I hope you are all doing fantastically! :)

Just popping in to say hi! Randomly weighed in at 111.6. That's better than the 113.6-8 I was getting last week. I'm keeping up with my exercising, but not running. In fact, the last 8.6 miles I added to my ticker were from a hike that I did.
As for the next challenge, I don't think I will participate because I'm not counting calories anymore. I do want to lose 1.6 lbs and keep up with exercising. The Marine Corps Ball is coming up in November, and I want to look amazing in my dress. |
Hi all!
I've just recently started CC and calorie cycling for the last three weeks, and I have to say I like it a lot better than counting points (I was getting frustrated trying to figure points out lol). It seems to be working for me so far. I'm a little late to join this challenge, but would love to join the next one you do. |
Ekicna- your doing great even without counting calories! I don't know if I could do that!
Only walked 19min. then it started pouring, had 2033 cal. I'm having problems getting back on track w/ my calories. Sometimes I have those weeks when i just want to eat! Weight stayed the same from yesterday, but I'm at my red line and really need to gain control! |

Your nugget helped me decide to post a little about my weightloss and jogging on facebook. It felt a little odd, since it is the first time I mentioned weightloss on facebook. I did it in the hopes it might help others who are struggling...I always enjoy reading about others successes here at 3fc. Yesterday seemed like the perfect time to start since I reached a milestone...I am now in the healthy range for my height and weight. Bigchiefhoho - With your mil, I would be jogging or walking for hours at a time to get away from her! H82 - You are doing great with your break. Tdi - sounds like it was a fun trip! Welcome PreciousMissy! Emme - sounds like a great plan. Fruit - what has worked for you in the past when you were trying to cut back on cals? It always helps me to eat my yogurt with wheat bran in it and to eat a lot of raw vegis. If you are not getting enough protein, that can effect your feeling of hunger too. |
jigglefree: Sounds like you were a ball of energy yesterday!! That's awesome!! Keep that going!! :carrot:
Emme: You can still come in and check in!! Sounds like things are going great! :carrot: Eckina: Awesome work! You can always pick non-scale goals as well. Preciousmissy: It's never too late to join! You could pick a small or mini-goal for the challenge. Something like keeping on track until labor day..just an idea. fruitlady: sometimes our bodies just want more. The weather has been icky here as well! Scottiemama: I like stopping the day before everyone decides to feast LOL. Envelope: It was quite an enjoyable trip!! I LOVE camping!! You are right that our good experiences can rub off on others and inspire them! Awesome work!! :carrot: I've definitely gotten back on track the last few days calorie-wise, which feels good. I didn't get to exercise majorly yesterday, I did go grocery shopping and I generally count that as a little exercise. Today I will be cleaning the house and doing my strength program and I think that will make me happy as far as exercise goes. I will also be making some soup, we're having some friends over tomorrow and also some cookies to make as well. I like to get things made ahead of time if I can so that I don't have to stress the day of. I may be around, but it will be a very busy day and weekend! Later chickies!! Keep it movin'! :carrot: ETA: So, I decided to weigh myself for curiosity's sake. I was feeling like I was down. I was at 157.4!! YAY!! That makes me happy!! Which means I'm within 1lb of my goal weight for the challenge!! I didn't realize that! :carrot: :carrot: Well back to cleaning and dancing!! |
Thanks fruit and tdi!
I lost 0.6lbs, so now I have 1lb to go until I reach my original goal of 110lbs. :yoga: is my favorite form of exercise and I can definitely see progress from it. :carrot: |
Hey ladies!!! I'm not necessarily a newbie, but I've been MIA for a good 8-10months...and I've gained alot of weight!! Going through a divorce gave me an excuse to pack on the pounds :( not that I wanted to, but I began eating out alot and just stopped watching & counting what I was eating! BUUUT, I'm back and ready to get past this!!!
I really need inspiration and motivation and I get that from YOU GUYS!!! So, since I'm joining late, my main goal is to sign into 3FC EVERY DAY!!! Secondary goals will be to start tracking calories and exercise 3x/week atleast 30min each time. When I participated in the holiday challenges in '2009 & 2010, I always set a weight goal, but to be honest, I have not stepped on the scale since 2 saturdays ago. That day I was up a pound from the previous weekend even though I did 45-50min of cardio 5days in a row prior to that and I was ready to throw the scale out the window!! :) Sooo, I will weigh ON Labor Day, Monday 9/5/2011 and update my tracker. Now it says 195 because thats what I WAS at the last time I weighed...as you can see, I've gained atleast 25lbs since last summer when I was at my ALL TIME LOW of just below 170 and IT SUCKS!!! I'VE GOT TO GET THIS UNDER CONTROL!!! I WILL NOT HIT 200 AGAIN!!! Sorry for the long winded comment...but I'm just so excited to be back!!!! :) |
I see there are no takers for someone starting the next challenge. So we will do a Halloween Challenge and we can do a "Day before Thanksgiving Challenge" for ScottieMama!!!
I have thoroughly enjoyed this challenge. I made a huge milestone and I'm so happy about it. Now I got to see where I want to be by the end of October. Today's Nugget: There is one thing you can be perfect at and that's being yourself. No one makes a better you than you do. So cherish the person you are and are becoming. |
jiggle- A Halloween challenge sounds great!
KDM- Welcome back! thanks everyone! Yeah, it's one of those weeks. I know why I eat like crazy, every time a holiday is coming soon or something that I feel I should be celebrating, causes me to celebrate w/ food starting the week of the event! So stupid, I don't plan it to be that way. It must be in the back of my mind somewhere! It happens everytime! Sunday, we are getting a hurricane & it's my birthday. I probably won't be going out to eat like planned, so I'm livin it up all week to make up for it. I find myself eating food I don't even like that much, just for the sake of eating. I was careful today, but still went over calories(1459) & walked 36min. I'm going out, right now to walk again! |
Hello everyone!
Thanks for the warm welcomes. I had truly intended to be on here more often, but the last week or so has been very difficult for me. I've been doing the c25k program (actually the one I use is called 5k101) and have been enjoying it soooo much. Last week, I started experiencing some knee pain, which incresed each day until Friday, when one of my knees gave out when jogging up a hill. I have been in horrible pain all week, but absolutely refusing to not exercise at all, so each night I have been walking my 3 miles, pushing through the pain. Today I woke up, and BOOM! all better. No pain. I may still walk a few days this week and slowly work back up to daily jogging. I have just felt so bad about myself and my body, because I want to jog, I like it. I want to be fit, and I am MAD at my body for holding me back. I had gained so much stamina from where I'd started, and I am scared it'll be like starting all over again. In good news, I found out this week that in two weeks I will be moved to another department at work, which is wonderful. I have been trying to get out of my department for almost 2 years, and I can honestly say 80% of all the stress in my life is from the people I currently work with. I am ECSTATIC! School started this Monday, and I am looking for some advice from you guys on this. School days (M-Th) are very long. I wake up at 8:00am and do not even get home from work/exercising until 12:45am. I make it to bed at 2am. Because I am awake and active for so long, each school day this week I ate an extra meal ~300cals. I usually consume at or under 1350cals, and now I can't see getting through these days at that number. So heres the questions: if any of you have very busy days like this, do you allow for more calories on these days? Should I aim for the same calories everyday and increase my daily intake to 1650-1700, or just do that on school days? Should I eat more on school days, but cut down to 1200-1250 on the other days to make up for the difference? Any advice or similar experience you guys have would help so much. I'm doing pretty good on my challenege goals, but I really need to push through hard times and log in to get support from you awesome people, rather than hide when things get hard. And I am putting my scale away tonight. I started weighing several times a day...its just there looking at me, challenging me to check my weight for the third time in the same day. Mr. Scale and I are going on a break. --------------------- My goals for labor day challenge: -drink all my water each day -enter my calories each day (I use the mynetdiary app) -weigh only once each week -continue with the c25k program (I am on week one for a second week). Aiming for 5x weekly, with an absolute minimum of 3x. -notice a difference in my progress pics -lose 5lbs |
Good Morning Everyone!!!
We have 9 days left in this challenge so lets stay close to our plans. Each day you wake up make a decision to be perfectly on plan. Eat within your calorie range. Count everything that goes into your mouth and when you get to your calorie limit stop. If that means it's 3pm in the afternoon then stop eating. If you get hungry drink water or any other zero calorie drink. We are going to make this last week the best week of the challenge. If you feel tempted to get off your eating plan get on and confess that your are about to go over and wait for a response before you do anything. When it's time to workout get it in. If you don't feel like working out then get up and dance or something until you feel like working out. Think about someone in this group that has been struggling and do it for them. If you are one of those that's struggling then think about someone that is rocking and rolling then do what you have to do to keep up with them. We are going to help each other this week. Today's Nugget: We come here to get motivation, encouragement and keep going. So lets do that this week. Motivate, encourage, and keep going together. |

Hey ladies! I don't have time to check back and see how you all are doing again (I hope great). This week has been a little insane, I've been working every single day since last Friday, so I haven't had much time to get online.
I'm doing okay. I went over my calories more than a couple of times, but I'm at 184.8 now (and very close to TOM). If I don't have time to stop by before Labor Day, thank-you so much for all your support and good luck! If there's another challenge, I'll be joining in. :) |
