Well ladies let's get it done today. Stay focused and work it like you want it!!

Thank you!!! And good on ya for the new car, those Cruze's are sexy sexy...lol. I'm sure you are going to get those last few lbs off, you can do it!!!

AWESOME!! :cheer:

fruitlady 06-15-2011 09:56 PM

Jiggle- Thanks, I know what to do for sure, just not used to being in strict dieting mode anymore, don't have the control that I did. That would be an awesome B-day present to yourself! You deserve it!

Emme- Thank you, it just seems hopeless sometimes. Look how much weight you have lost, you must be one determined chick! Great job!

Fit4- Congrads on the loss!! I know I can't have it in my house either, it's hubby that can't do without it. How do I deal with that? If it's not here, I don't even crave it. If it's here it's calling my name!

k15- 70lbs! Wow that's terrific!

Lovely weather here today, tried to be outside as much as possible. Walked for 30min. I would have loved to go longer, but I'm so weighed down with water bloat that I was getting out of breath and my legs hurt. I now have 14lbs to lose, the amount is just getting worse & worse. I'm sure some is water, but also gained fat I'm sure. I'm glad it's warm weather now, I wouldn't be able to fit into my jeans.

Back to the grind, came in below calorie limit(1159) Not really hungry from three really bad eating days. Tomorrow will be more of a challenge, that's when the hunger will kick in. Not used to being in diet mode for long periods of time, I never can go longer than a week, then I'm ready for peanut butter or sweets. Once I start, I can't stop, that scares me.

rainbowstripe 06-16-2011 06:06 AM

I just wanted to pop in and say hi, for those that remember me. I won't join in in the middle of a challenge, but hopefully can join in next time. I had continued to lose very slowly but after the last 2 pounds came off, I put them back on again. I know 2 pounds isn't a lot, but after seeing a steady maintenance weight and a little loss, seeing a definite gain, even if it is only a small amount, is enough to kick me back into gear.
I want to join you ladies on the next challenge so I'll be back around July 4 to see what it is!

CorinneIrene 06-16-2011 08:25 AM

Feeling pretty good today- finally getting a new pair of glasses (it's been 5 years, and that was my last eye exam too...oops) today and seeing about contacts, depending on how my rx has changed.

Was op yesterday, came in a little under cals though. Did my exercising, today and yesterday first thing. I think I may start doing pilates again at night. I've been doing a little running too.

I wasn't op for a lot of my TOM- had a chocolate milkshake as the worst indulgence, though I think I was only around 1700 cals, so not TOO bad. Ah well, I'm back in the swing of things!

Had a delicious breakfast with 1 egg scramble, tomato, olives, and dill havarti cheese. According to myplace, 1 egg has more cholesterol than I should be allotted for an entire day! Yikes. But they are such a great source of protein. I may start using egg whites (I love those!) more often.

Rainbow- Hey there! You could join in and make your goal a pound or two- I've done that before! Either way, thanks for stopping by and hope to see you on the next challenge! I was at goal weight in July of last year, but 5 pounds crept up on me during the winter after successful maintenence so I decided to get in gear again- I also lowered my overall goal, but we'll see how I do when I get there! Congrats on the initial loss though!

Fruit- Great job on jumping back on plan! You know you can do this, and we all have faith in you!

k15- CONGRATS! :carrot: Major high fives! I remember when I first weighed into a healthy BMI, and I hadn't thought that was ever going to happen at the start! Feels so good! And 70 pounds! Major accomplishment! You go!

Fit- High five for 3 days OP!

Emme- Thank you! And I think that I will definitely be adopting that phrase!

Jiggle- Woohoo! That would be an excellent birthday gift! You can do it! And thanks- I was shocked I was able to stay OP, but it helped that I was with more active people and we spent much of our time away from food. Well, one guy I was with has an appetite you wouldn't believe, and is super skinny- but I was able to decline all food offers. Just have to keep going!

Jdon- Thank you! And congrats on your loss- I know it doesn't seem like much, but it's still a loss! And I'm sure TOM is probably playing games with you. Good job staying op! And awesome about the car!!

Thank you my dear, and TOM is supposed to be off-plan...or so I say ;) I'm very sad about the cholesterol in eggs because I LOOOOOVE eggs, can't live without them for breakfast

I understand about other people and their d@mn sweets; have your husband lock them away, seriously. One of my roomies keeps stuff locked away from me, it drove me crazy for the first 2 months (like really) but now it's out of sight, out of mind...lol I know how it feels to feel out of control, sweets are my arch nemesis

GIRL YOU BETTER WORK!!!! SO proud of you:carrot::carrot::carrot:

Ladies, I am shooting for 4 days OP today!!! :carrot: very proud of myself, I am learning that every day counts, and that I have to take it day by day not month by month or week by week and it's working for me...I am down to 234.0 today and it feels good, I still have 2 more workouts this week (today's walk and tomorrow's bootcamp) so I may see some more ounces lost (:crossed:) I'm still gonna power through to make my goal of 228, but it I get within 2 lbs, then I'll be fine! I'm just glad I'm back on the horse! LOL...You ladies have a good day and keep it OP, we can do this!!!

Fruitlady - YAY you have ended the struggle. No don't be so hard on yourself. Even if you are over where you were you have the ability to get back to it because you know what to do.
JD - Congrats on getting your car. You are so right we have to keep moving. I was happy that I had lost 4.5 pounds but I was thinking it would be more. But I figured it still adds to the bottom line and I will get it done and so will you!
Fit - Good job of staying on plan for the two days. Just keep going because you will see the goal you have for your health.
Corinne - Welcome back from the vacation. Pretty good maintaining while on vacation. I hope I'm able to do that while I'm out and about this summer.
Emme -:wave:Hope you are having a great day!!!

Well ladies let's get it done today. Stay focused and work it like you want it!!

I love your positivity. Keep it up :) its uplifting!

Congratulations on a new job!!

Well ladies, I am down to 111.2! I haven't been this light in about 8 years. I will see how I feel and look at 110. I may want to lose another 2 lbs after that and then maintain between 108-112.

LaughingGirl78 06-16-2011 02:53 PM

Update

Phat--congrats on the job!! Woot!! :carrot:

I completely understand the job/no job stress. I am giving my 2 weeks notice tomorrow and all this week I haven't been sleeping or eating right. I haven't gained back the 2 lbs I lost and I have only walked once this week.

I need to do better, eat cleaner, exercise more but right now, emotionally--I just want to get through tomorrow and deal with the aftermath. I may sleep all weekend. :D

I may have to readjust my goal to 10 lbs weight loss but I still want to aim high and push myself.

Hang in there everyone--week is almost over!!

fruitlady 06-16-2011 05:43 PM

Thanks everyone, you chicks are the best!
Jiggle- I'm so happy for you!

Second day on plan, stayed under calories again(1186) Walked for 30min, wanted to go longer, but my knees were hurtin. We do steep hills & walk brisk everyday, all this extra weight that I'm not used to, is really slowing me down.

Lost 4.7lbs of water overnight! Yesterday's eating clean, just one day did it! Lots more to go, long haul ahead!

k15g15 06-16-2011 06:03 PM

Thanks for all the love ladies!

RAINBOW- So glad to have you back!!

CorinneIrene 06-17-2011 09:09 AM

Morning ladies!

Friday, weigh day. Down to 121.2! Getting back on track the last couple of days has worked out. My last "official" way in was 122.8, so I say after a week of vacation and then TOM a loss of over a pound is fantastic! I'm feeling very optimistic and am thinking that perhaps I *do* want to lower my goal to 115.

I'm having a situation right now (man related) that in the past, would probably cause me to go into a binge because that's how I always dealt with emotion...but I'm proud of myself for holding back on that urge which was so strong and doing productive things instead. Not to pat myself on the back too much, but it's just such a change I've noticed.

Fruit- Nice!! That's a lot of water. Keep moving!

Laughing- Quite a big step there. Life happens, all we can do is our best! Here's hoping the change will be for the better!

Ekicna- High five! I love that feeling! You're doing fantastic!

Phat- Major props on the job! When I was jobless about two years ago, I was really in a funk. I felt so worthless- but that interview when I knew I secured it really pushed me back into reality! It's such a great feeling to be back on track! Glad to hear you had a great b-day. I love coloring, heh.

Fit- I know! I love eggs so much! I try to limit myself to 1 per week (only because I already know I've had high cholesterol in the past- hopefully it's lower now!) but it's tough. I always savor my egg days, haha, and think about all the great nutrition in them! 4 days OP, you go girl!!

Emme 06-17-2011 10:00 AM

Happy Friday! :) It sounds like everyone is doing great!! I am down 2.8 pounds from last Friday, and I am 5 pounds away from goal. I am excited to get into the 160s (hopefully at next WI). I haven't been this weight since 2000, so it's been a long time coming!

jdonato 06-17-2011 11:04 AM

sorry guys can't do personals, I have a quick second at work to update.

Still at 138.4, even after TOM, so for my 2 weeks I have only lost a pound on Phase 1. I have no idea what happened, but i've been following everything correctly. Like I said though i'm not giving up. I have 10lbs to go till I meet my goal. so I will take this one day at a time.

Good Luck ladies and keep up the great work! I'll try and check back in later.

Sorry the Phase 1 isn't working out like you want it to, I'm sure you will see a whoosh in a bit, just take it one day at a time...like you said lol

WTG GIRL!!! I can't wait to get 1-anything LOL, I know I'll make it one day, but until then, I am living vicariously through you, wit' yo skinny self ;)

Awesome on the change in habit and the weigh-in...love it and eggs are awesome, my cholestrol has never been high (that I can think of) but who knows? I just love me some eggs! LOL

Short testimonial about daily-weighing: so this morning I did NOT feel like getting up and going to bootcamp, but I had to pee when I got up so I decided to weigh in anyway, well I did and I was 233.6 I felt awesome, in fact, I felt so awesome I decided to go work my @$$ out because I was feeling so good. Anyway, Sunday is usually my official weigh-in day, but I am moving it to today because I will be out of town until Sunday evening and it's for a family get-together, so who knows how I'll be doing, I am scarred. LOL. Anyway, you ladies keep pushing, there are so many of you making or surpassing goals and it's so inspiring, WE CAN DO IT!!!!! Have a good weekend.

fruitlady 06-17-2011 08:14 PM

Everyone is doing amazing!!

i lost another 2.2lbs of water, I sure do retain alot!
walked for 30min in pouring rain, calories are 1252. Had fruit salad w/ lunch, it was so good! Weight loss will go slower now, I'm sure the rest is fat. 6lbs to go!

P H A T 06-18-2011 02:03 PM

thanks everyone for the congrats on my job.. I just finished up all the paperwork for the job yesterday, so pending my background check comes through clean [which it should], the job is mine! ... I'm so excited.. I think that having a job will put my weight loss back on the fast track.

the scale has stalled for the past couple weeks, & i know my TOM hasn't helped that, but Im hoping that in a couple days I'll see a "whoosh" as we all it here ... Have a good weekend ladies! I'm off to the pool!

ann71 06-18-2011 02:26 PM

hi all. Down 2 pounds this week, but I'm not sure it was "real." I guess maybe I'll find out on Monday!

fruitlady 06-18-2011 08:26 PM

PHAT- hope you see that woosh soon!

Walked 30min & had 1307 calories. Went over by only 100, ate two really delicious white nectarines, delicious! Down another half a pound, It's slowing down, but at least it's down.

envelope 06-18-2011 10:41 PM

I have reached my c25k goal. I still need to lose 8.6lbs to reach my weight goal...not sure if that is going to happen, but I am going to keep on trying and see how close I can get!

ClaireBear92 06-19-2011 01:02 AM

Hi! I'm just starting this challenge even thought its already halfway through June! I started my dieting a week ago though and have already lost 5 pounds!! So I guess my overall goal for the fourth of july would be between 8-10 pounds including the 5 pounds I have already lost! I exercise at the gym for an hour everday, along with eating around or a little below 1400 calories! Wish me luck!

jigglefree 06-19-2011 09:12 AM

Good morning Ladies,
I've been out but not down. I'm still on plan and I'm sure I have lost at least two more pounds. I've kept my calories below 1300 everyday since I last posted. I'm so looking forward to seeing where I am at the end of this challenge. :D:D

P H A T - Congratulations on the J O B :high: Now you can really focus on yourself.
Ekicna - That's pretty cool. I'm close to being smaller than I was in College which was about 27 years ago. So I know how you feel!! :carrot: Happy Dance!!
Laughing - If you are leaving your job because of how it affects you then you will find the stress is not as bad. You will actually be less stressed and better able to focus. Been there done that!!
JD - Stay the course it will get better and the pounds will come off!!
Fruitlady - You are down almost three pounds in a couple days and even if it is water weight it's a loss nevertheless!! :cp:
Fit - Nothing like seeing a loss to motivate you...I love it! Keep up the good work.
Corrine - Do the dog on thang!!! That's really cool in the midst of a vacation and TOM!!! I'm near jealous.
Ann - If you have loss then count it as a loss. Each day brings it's own surprises so celebrate what each day brings. YAY 2LBS!!! :cb:
Envelope - Congrats on reaching your C25k goal. :exercise: Keep getting it in. Even if you don't reach your goal in pounds you have made an accomplishment!!
ClaireBear - :welcome2: Jump in and have some fun!!

OhThePlaces 06-19-2011 10:49 AM

I'm jumping in because I could use the extra motivation! :)

My goal for July 4th is 134. With two weeks left, I have 2.4 lbs to go. Maybe I'll even see 133? I'm eating 1200-1300 calories and doing 70 minutes of cardio at the gym 5x a week.

fruitlady 06-19-2011 11:23 PM

Claire- Welcome!

OhThePlaces- Welcome!

Jiggle-Your only an inch taller than I am and I found that I lose weight pretty well on 1300 calories or less if I'm exercising. That 2lbs will be gone!

Walked 30min. Had 1220 calories. Down another .8lbs, this is going faster than expected. LOST 7lbs. IN 5 DAYS!!!!!! YIPPIE!!!!

As you all know, I buy alot of fruit to eat every week, well I got really good deals this weekend. I bought so much, I made fruit salad. It was so good, I ate it all today. I made more today to eat tomorrow, but made it a little different. It fills you up fast and keeps you full for a while.

ann71 06-19-2011 11:57 PM

way to go, fruitlady!

Interesting about the fruit. I love it, but I find that I actually get hungry pretty quickly after eating it.

I was doing really well with the calories early in the week, but did not as well later in the week. Only a little over, but still...

Emme 06-20-2011 09:24 AM

Good morning, everyone! I hope you all had a nice weekend. I had way, way, way too much sugar this weekend and I need to try to detox from it this week so I can have a good WI on Friday. Hope everyone has a fantastic, OP week! :)

OhThePlaces 06-20-2011 09:46 AM

Good morning! I overindulged yesterday while celebrating Father's Day with my family.... did not anticipate the 7 layer dip with chips or cream pie. Ugh! I'll be putting in extra cardio at the gym today and eating light.

Maybe you can post some recipes to your fruit salad, cause I for one would love to try it.. I have never had fruit salad before...

Im sure Ill do better on the next challenge :) have a beautiful day ladies!

jigglefree 06-20-2011 03:01 PM

Quick check in but I'm down another 3 pounds. I'm smaller than I was in College!! I'll check in later!!

ann71 06-20-2011 03:21 PM

That's fabulous, jigglefree! Congrats.

I fully sympathize with everyone who said that Father's Day presented some challenges. We made a healthier brunch than normal, featuring summer fruits, but then my sister brought out the cookies for dessert. Luckily, they weren't actually that good. :)

fruitlady 06-20-2011 08:53 PM

PHAT- You can use any kind of fruit you want in the salad. When i made it yesterday i used, watermelon, strawberries, kiwi, grapes & blueberries. Just wash the fruit, cut it up in cubes or slices in a bowl or container and cover it. Refrigerate overnight. I like to leave it in overnight, all the fruit juices mix together and taste so good!

ann71- Thanks! Fruit fills me up pretty long, especially watermelon, pineapple & grapes. They have a high volume of water.

Jiggle- Yay! 3lbs! Are you losing quicker now? What are you doing differently?

I miss calculated how much i lost & how long it took, it's 9.5lbs now. Lost another 1.2lbs as of this morning. Took me 5 days of eating clean, totally worth it! Today is the sixth day of no processed junk food.

Walked 30min & had 1226 calories. Can't walk to long anymore, my knees are getting worse. If I walk too long the right one gives out on me ( cartlidge issues). Had knee problems since I was 18yrs old. It's getting worse as I get older and I am very active.

The fruit salad I made last night was delicious, it's almost gone again!

k15g15 06-20-2011 10:08 PM

Way to go Jiggle!

Emme 06-21-2011 09:29 AM

envelope ~ Good for you for reaching your c25k goal!!

ClaireBear ~ Welcome! Good luck! :)

OhThePlaces ~ Welcome to you, as well! Sounds like you have a good plan.

P H A T ~ Even if someone loses 0.2 pounds within a month that is a win, not a failure, and you are doing awesomely, so I am sure you'll be fine!

jiggle ~ Awesome -- 3 pounds gone forever!

fruitlady ~ Wow, that is amazing that you've lost the 9.5 pounds that quickly! Wish I could do that!

I weighed in 2 pounds heavier today than I weighed on Saturday, but I ate a lot of crap over the weekend, so I am really hoping that this starts going away soon! I ate wayyyy too much sugar and I'm seeing it on the scale these past two days....grrrr!! Oh well...hafta keep moving forward! :)

jigglefree 06-21-2011 09:37 AM

Good Morning My favorite online crew,
I'm doing really well. Having big fun and staying on plan. I got on the treadmill for 30 minutes last night and ended the day at 1200 calories. YAY!!

K15g15 - Thanks!!
Fruitlady - I lost really well last week because I ate VERY few carbs. My body responds very positively to protein. So I eliminated as many carbs as I could to see how my body responded. Well LOOKIE LOOKIE it prefers more protein. My doctor was saying he thinks I have a low tolerance for carbs which could explain why I wasn't losing weight. I was toggling up and down with the same 5 pounds.
Ann71 - I love it...the cookies weren't that good. We did a seafood dinner and the rest of the day was very light. My husband said, "Now this is a Father's Day I will always remember...instead of going to a seafood restaurant, my wife made all my favorites." I did really well if I say so myself.

Let's make today a great day!!

jdonato 06-21-2011 11:12 AM

Fruitlady and Jiggle: Congrats to you both! I'm very happy and proud of you :)

Unfortunately my body didn't respond to the low carbs this time. I only lost 2lbs :( I didn't gain, but still I was planning on being at 132 by now, and working from there. The lowest I saw was 137. *sigh*

I'm still working on my eating and not giving up. I'm slowly reintroducing my fruit and bread into my diet. I changed the bread I use to sprouted whole grains. And I'm really watching my sugar intake. One step at a time.

Still doing Alli, and I love it. The only negative is I don't experience any of the "treatment effects". Which to most that would be good, but for me, I find myself not caring if I go over my fat grams here and there because I'm not experiencing the repercussions. But it's teaching me a great life-style change. I do stay within my 12grams of fat per meal, and I'm trying to choose snacks that are 3.5 grams of fat or less. Also I've cut down dramatically on my red meat, maybe to once a week if not less. I don't use creamer in my coffee anymore, they do have fat free, but due to the process sugars, I've switched to the vanilla splenda, and only have 1 packet of those.

This is taking way longer than I thought, and I'm getting very tired and unmotivated :(

Emme: I'm right there with you! Due to father's day and my dad being gone, the way my famiy dealt with it was drinking alot after a heavy dinner so all that sugar is getting to me too. You and I can do it! we will make it through this together!

PHAT:  I'm very proud of you :) You are a very strong woman and you deserve it!

Sorry to cut this short ladies but I'm at work. I will try and get on later. Have a great day :)
