Had a good day yesterday. I walked three miles on the treadmill and then went on Saturady errands...ended up walking around themalll for about three hours. I ate pretty healthy yesterday as not to foil my workout. Am I tired today...YEP. I have my starting measurements and I'm ready.

I'm going to be on my kettle bells today and I will eat between 1200-1300 calories. No snack food in the house and I will not be allowing any in so that I don't get off task. I really want this week to go well. So I'm leaving NO ROOM FOR FAILURE!!

So its just getting harder. The last two days I feel like all people are talking about is food. My Fiance works midnights and this morning woke me up and said lets have some grilled hamburgers.... Its hard to eat to live when everyone else around you is living to eat.

This is just my two cents but when I started this journey, I didn't want to change what was on my menu. I still don't. Why should you sacrifice and not have something you want? I have yet to run across something I couldn't make low-cal and enjoy. So...if you don't already have the meat, buy extra lean. If you do, make your patty a little smaller or bulk it up with some mashed beans (could use pinto and add some cumin to the mix for a taste on the side of Mexican or kidney and add some chili powder for a chili burger). Grilling is going to cause fat to drip off so that will help with calories and fat as well. Skip the cheese or use 2% milk cheese. Have the burger on a low-cal bun / bread or wrap in lettuce leaves. Add veggies as normal. Use ketchup and mayo sparingly. I say enjoy your cookout!

Cut my walk in half yesterday even though it was a beautiful day here. I was going to go hang out in a bookstore for a while yesterday afternoon but while I was walking, decided it'd be more fun to hang out on a patio with a cold one and people watch. And I decided to go downtown which meant walking. So I purposely cut my walk back. Not because I couldn't have done both but I so wanted to go home and get ready to go out.

Don't have errands to run today and I plan on sitting on my rump for three hours watching White Sox baseball! So going to try to stay on the light side of my calorie allotment today (1426). I'll take a walk before or after the game to get some exercise in though.

Side note...Started the day with part of my breakfast being a donut. YS Carob donut. YUM!!! I've tried two low-cal donuts thus far (I've had some scary bad cravings for donuts in the past few weeks so I decided to give in to my temptations...sort of ). This donut was much better than the other one I had. Texture was spot on, taste was delish! I will definitely be ordering more of those.

Hey everyone! Happy Sunday & the beginning of a new week!

jigglefree - I can only hope that I can get to your level of discipline & dedication. My house is full of snack food, LOL .... I need to control myself .. it can be ridiculous at times lol. I just feel like I need something sweet, so I got some 100 calorie frozen Minute Maid, & 50 calorie Popsicles. I know they're greatest but.... One step at a time is the only way this "lifestyle change" is gonna work for me

TiredOfGettingBigger - I feel your pain .. maybe you can mix up some ground turkey & have your own grilled turkey burgers.. they're good! My fiancee grills turkey burgers at least twice a week on the George Foreman grill, I'm sure if you threw a turkey burger on an actual grill, I would probably come out even better. Then throw some fresh veggies on the grill, like a corn on the cobb, or some peppers.. Oh man.. that sounds so good right now! lol

I'm gonna start of this week on a positive note. I had somewhat of a plateau for the past week & a half because of my period, & it really demotivated me since I get way hungrier for sweets the week before my period. Then the week OF, my cramps hurt so bad, I can barely walk. I only worked out 2 days last week because of my freaking uterus & my ankle hurting as well. PLUS add 6 days of mandatory overtime at work & well .. I just wasn't a happy camper! LOL. But this week will be different. I've set my goals for the week & I have every intention of meeting those goals. I want to give my metabolism a boost!

LOL I prefer turkey burgers to hamburgers and didn't even think of that one! However, between your post and my post, I'm thinking there are some sort of burgers and grilled veggies in my near future.

Walked 36min. then walked to the St Patty's Day parade. At least I did enough walking, calories are 1343. My weight is up again from the day I pigged out, but it should be going down soon.

Hey guys...

Well I think I did OK this weekend in spite of our party last night. Friday was a non-exercise day (I allow no more than two a week now), but my calories were good (actually a little low, 1381.)

Saturday was my second no-exercise day and a high calorie day. I had about 700 calories during the day before the party. I had my planned beers and some "party" food last night (crock pot meatballs, cheese & crackers, that kind of thing), but I only had one very reasonably portioned plate of food and did very minimal grazing. I can't be 100% sure, but I think I stayed under 2,000 calories for the day.

Today is my second high calorie day of the week (I should end at about 1700), but I did do 30 minutes of my biggest loser sculpting DVD. Tomorrow I'm back to my 1400-1600 range until next weekend (ANOTHER party and our anniversary....oy!) But one day at a time, right?

Hope everyone is enjoying their Sunday!

I ate crappy calories today but did stay in my limit. My son races motocross so the dogs and I walked the track a couple times when the motorcycles weren't on the track, and then I raked out my flower beds and dug them up. I'm super tired!

Congrats Kim Z on quick loss!

Tomorrow morning is weigh in day at Weight Watchers (I calorie count more than point count). I'd love to see myself hit 17 lb but I will love to see a loss just as much!

Today was a good day. Here are my stats from my Bodybugg:
Calories Burned: 3327
Calories Consumed: 2468 (ha, funny)
Calorie deficit: 759 (goal is 1000)
Physical Activity: 1 hr 8 min (goal 45 min)
