I think this is the perfect venue to rant, so no need to apologize. We all understand where you are coming from. I feel like I eat too much of some food almost every day! You have an amazing attitude, though. Recognize your mistakes, and start the next day by once again giving it your all. You can do this! Look how far you have come already!!!

Congrats on the run, and nice going on the new shoes!! I should probably follow your lead if I really want to get back in to exercising! Keep it up!

Ok, I should probably have replied to several people in one message like you all do. I didn't expect to make that many comments. Sorry!

That being said, yesterday was ok, even though I didn't post. Or at least I don't remember doing so. I did 20 minutes of pilates, but I had to split it in two parts because the baby woke up about 10 minutes in to it. I also decided to park in the very back of the student parking lot so as to increase my walk to the shuttle that runs to campus. Well, guess what happened? Someone hit my car!! I can only imagine a student driving too fast and/or texting while parking, and BANG. I filed a report, but of course, no one is going to come forward. I've got a $500 deductible, but let's look at the bright side(s). 1. The damage is only cosmetic. The car still operates - although I need to make sure my gas tank still opens and closes. hmmm.... 2.) I was not in the car when the accident occurred (although then I might have gotten the other driver's information... grrrr.... 3.) Most importantly, the baby was not in the car when the accident occurred. I know someone that did have their baby in the car in a bad accident, and although in a car seat, the little one got a concussion.

So, that was my day yesterday.

Today is a new day. Good luck everyone!

I joined this group and meant to get on here daily and help encourage and support others, but I just haven't been 3fc minded lately! It's too bad because the more I'm on here the more motivated and excited I get about sticking to my plan! It's a balancing act isn't it?

Anyway, things have been going decently overall. Not amazingly, but I'm okay with that. I slacked on journaling for a few days but I'm back at that because without it things tend to unravel. I'm averaging about 1600 calories a day and feeling good about that!

Keep up the great work everyone! :)

Crappy day yesterday. I had already eaten almost 1200 calories when I left work. Figured I'd eat a 200 calorie snack, hit the gym for a run, and come home and go upstairs to get away from the kitchen. Instead found myself home with a nagging headache and feeling exhausted and run-down. So I ate ~700 calories instead, most of them not wonderful, and went to bed for the night. Feeling OK today, but not fantastic - am planning on the gym tonight. Need to keep my calories count closer to 1200 today.

Hey guys,

Been MIA lately. Had a fun President's day weekend, but went a little further off track than I had planned (I did avoid alcohol though...so hopefully that will minimize the damage some!) Back on track yesterday and hope to finish the week strong.

I will go back and catch up on the chatter soon...hope everyone is having a good week!

ma26 02-23-2011 09:58 AM

Congrats to those who have been on plan and doing well. And we will grt back on track, all of us who have been struggling lately. Food and excercise was great for me yesterday. But after limiting what I ate to save room for a couple drinks, I got drunk so easy last night. I need to just abstain. Or save calories for only one. That was just silliness and my head is punishing me today as a result.

AmyKitKat 02-23-2011 10:17 AM

I've been MIA for a number of days as well - I've been sticking close to my St Patty's goals though -- I think I was probably between 1500-1800/day Saturday and Sunday, but no real binges.

There was the rum Sunday night in the tea - but that was it for the alcohol which for me is huge.

Just gotta make it through this coming weekend so that I can have my planned cheat on the 3rd!!

Thank you Amanda. You are very sweet! Feeling better about today despite the fact that I'm going out for dinner and to the Avs game tonight, i.e. food and beer. :D But plan on doing my regular cardio in the gym and a walk to make sure I'm still negative net. Have a great day!

PS Sorry about the accident. Yuck!

manders01 02-23-2011 10:55 AM

Okay, no more binges! However, will still be going over my daily calorie allotment today. I'm okay with it though. Friend is in town and we're having dinner then heading to the Avs game which I'm super excited for! Haven't been to a hockey game this season and managed to score us awesome tickets! :cb:

- Breakfast: 1 serving Rice Krispies (130), 1 medium banana (105) and 3/4 cup Blue Diamond Unsweetened Chocolate Almond milk (33-3/4). 268-3/4 calories total.

- Lunch: 2 slices 45 calorie bread (90), 1 wedge LC mozzarella cheese (35), 1 slice tomato (4), 1/8 cup mild banana pepper rings (5), 1/4 cup arugula (5), 1.2 serving baby carrots (17-1/2), light key lime yogurt (90) and a medium orange (64). 310-1/2 calories total.

- Afternoon (After Workout) Snack: 20 red grapes (40). 40 calories total.

- Dinner: 3 12 oz Coors Lights (306) with food TBD. 306 calories total.

925-1/4 calories total for the day plus whatever I eat for dinner. Will try to be reasonable when selecting from the menu. I get to pick the restaurant so I will be able to review the menu prior and have a good idea before I go what I will be having.

Regular cardio for today plus a walk. I'll try for 4 laps but my butt and legs are a bit sore from my first day of weight training. I like it! :D

Hope everyone has a great hump day! Halfway to the weekend! :cheer2:

Hi all, sorry I posted twice and haven't been back! I need to read and do some catching up!

I have been on-plan with calories and exercise, and weight at my weigh-in yesterday morning was 259.0 lbs. I think ~0.5 lbs. of that was retained water from a tough strength training session the previous afternoon, as the morning of the strength training session my weight was 258.4 lbs.

This week I'm travelling on business, and so really working hard to stay on plan. The hotel fitness room is open 24 hours, so I was able to get my workout in late last night. This morning I went to a gourmet foods store a few blocks away and bought some fruit and a few healthy snacks, and that should definitely help. I also (as Manders suggested!) found a few restaurants close by with nutritional info available online. Chipotle for dinner last night, and tonight it will be Corner Bakery. Now I just need to keep drinking water to manage all the sodium!

After my workout last night I weighed in the fitness room, and that scale said 262. That was at the end of the day, in clothes and sneakers, and my weight is usually a touch higher at night... but it still might be off from my home scale by a pound or two. I'm going to try to keep tabs on how I'm doing while travelling by using that scale each day here, so we'll how it goes!

natamars- I hope you are feeling better as the day goes on!
I have lots of sick kids at school right now and a boy at home all weekend.

I have been really bad about working out this week, but I did loose 2 pounds this week by sticking to my calories.
Hope everyone has a great day!

Hey all,

I am around, I am here, I am reading everything you guys are saying - just going through a bit of a stressful time.

Had another argument with my boyfriend, which has been smoothed over again...I guess these things need to be talked about, but I dislike confrontation and being upset.

Not sure if you guys heard about the earthquake down here in Christchurch. I'm in the other island of New Zealand, but it's devastating nonetheless - luckily my friends down there are safe, but it's so horrific and sad seeing all the pictures/videos/updates in the paper and on the news...it's been a tough 6 months for our little country.

ish 02-23-2011 06:57 PM

I weighed in today and lost one pound. So that's a total of one pound down for the challenge.

I was feeling kind of discouraged but then I realized, I've lost 6 pounds so far this month AND I'm still at it. That's a pretty big step for an on again off again dieter like me who's never seen much more than a weeks worth of progress.

Feeling good. Just have to keep it up!

Start of the challenge (Feb. 16): 229
Today (Feb. 24): 228
Goal: 219
