Today will be an exercise in massive willpower...I have to go into the kitchen to bake cookies today. :yikes: Can't sell something if I don't know how it tastes. But I have already built in one of each type of cookie into my daily allotment. I know it will be a struggle to only eat the two though. And then I'm going to out dinner for pizza and must have enough willpower to only eat two slices. Because after that we are enjoying some Cake Bubbles. I have also figured those into my allotment as well. And with all that, I've got a little wiggle room. But I don't really want to use it because my dinner is fairly high in fat. I've been very, very pleased with my progress this week and don't want to knock it off kilter now.

- Breakfast: 1 package lower sugar maple and brown sugar oatmeal (120), 1/2 cup Blue Diamond Unsweetened Vanilla Almond Milk (20) and 1 medium orange (64). 204 calories total.

- Lunch: 2 slices Sara Lee 45 calorie wheat bread, 1 slice Oscar Meyer roasted turkey (30), 1 wedge LC queso (35), 1 slice of tomato (4), 1/4 cup baby arugula (5), 1/2 serving baby carrots (17-1/2) and 1 container of light black cherry yogurt (90). 241-1/2 calories total.

- Afternoon Snack: 1 oatmeal chocolate chip cookie (52) and 1 snickerdoodle cookie (52.5). 104-1/2 calories total.

- Dinner: 2 slices hand-tossed crust sausage and mushroom pizza (430) and 8 tasting bites of Cake Bubbles (208). 638 calories total.

1188 calories total for the day

Gym is closed today so I'm hoping to go on a long walk after being in the kitchen. I'm just glad cooking burns more calories than being in front of the computer! :D

Rode the bike for 30min. then took a 30min. walk, the weather is beautiful. Did better with my calories today, 1320. Going over my limit for the past 3 days, didn't seem to do anything, but I have been running non stop for the past week. I don't get to sit til 9pm. I actually lost weight, my goal is 107lbs. now. My clothes fit better & I feel better at that weight. If I give myself this new goal, it will help me stay on plan. I'm not even planning to over eat this weekend, don't even want to. I found a delicious yogurt I will eat if I want chocolate. Has anyone ever tried Yoplait yogurt delights? The chocolate eclair flavor tastes like pudding. Yum! Did I tell you about these yesterday? I don't remember.

Have a great weekend!

Did ok at the festival, not brilliantly, but I can still average my week out pretty well. I don't feel bad about it because it's a once a year thing and I didn't have a "free-for-all" eat everything I want type of night, I was thoughtful about what I ate!

Scale said 169.4 this morning. :) I'm so excited to be into this decade. :). Barely my tiptoe in. But it has been awhile since I've seen a 16 on the scale.
Calories were high yesterday :(. 1900's. Sheesh. No wonder the weight loss stalled! Anyways glad to see people doing well. Tracking again today. Hope I'm more diligent and stay in my calorie range.
Running logged: mon:8 tues: 2 thurs:3.75 fri: 3
So I'm at 16.75 miles for the week!! Maybe I should have set the goal for 20 miles :).

The weather again was really nice yesterday, so I took all 3 of my dogs out for their walks, for about an hour and a half total. Calories were on target yesterday as well.

Today I'm doing well with my calories so far, though I think the exercise I'm going to get today is going to be in the form of some early "spring"(hey, I can be hopeful, right?) cleaning. Maybe I'll take the dogs later, if the temperatures don't drop a lot.

Hope everyone else is doing well!

Northern ~ so sorry to hear about all your vehicle trouble! Seems like when it rains it pours, have a good weekend

Jiggle ~ did you wake up feeling rested? If so, it's probably your body trying to recharge after being stressed.

Rainbowstripe ~ that festival sounds like a lot of fun congrats on your willpower!

Amanda ~ half awww and half score!! :)

natamers ~ woot!

manders ~ what are Cake Bubbles?

fruit ~ congrats and I'm jealous of your weather!

As for me, I'm teetering upward, but I'm pretty sure it's just adjusting to the increased workouts and refiguring out my food, hopefully I'll even keel and stop dropping again soon.

could you be pregnant? ;)

Horo-
I'm totally impressed your dogs can go for an hour and a half walk. My two bassetts make it a 10 block total walk! We even have to stop for a break to visit the horses that live four blocks from us or they can't make it back. Last summer I actually carried one of them for two blocks back home because he had given up!
:dizzy:
I've learned to take them one at a time!

I've stayed under calories this week, but we will see on Monday if that will equate into pounds lost or not.

Keep up the good work everyone!

Take your zinc! Influenza A and B is a late arrival this year. My kids at school are going home left and right. Maybe it has arrived down south too, better safe than sorry!

Little bites of heaven! :D Cake mixed with frosting dunked in chocolate in tons of amazing flavors. The woman who makes them works out of the same kitchen I do so I've been able to try lots of them. Probably don't fit into my daily calorie allotment most of they time but damn are they sooooooooooo worth it.

manders01 02-19-2011 10:03 AM

Well I didn't do great yesterday but I also don't feel like I failed. I'm most impressed that I only ate one of each cookie at the kitchen. I had two snickerdoodles that got stuck to the sheet tray and was so tempted to shove them both in my mouth. :nono: But instead I offered the other one to someone else in the kitchen! :cheer2: So proud of myself!

Dinner was where my slight slip up occurred. I had one thin slice and one medium slice (width-wise) of pizza. Everyone was done and there was one thin slice left which I was not able to resist. I figure it was probably 2-1/2 slices of pizza instead of the 2 I had limited myself to. I also had two bites of garlic bread. And I think I might have lost count of the Cake Bubble and had 9 tastings. Not horrible by any means. I for change, I didn't feel guilty about the additional calories. They didn't equal a lot, I had burned a good amount of calories yesterday and I knew I'd be burning a ton today. So again, pretty proud of myself. :yay:

Going shopping today and will be eating lunch out. Not sure where at this point but if it's at the outlet mall's food court, there is a Chinese place and a Subway, both of which I'm comfortable I can eat sensibly at. But am going to leave my dinner open for now, just in case the lunch venue changes. If we go to my favorite restaurant, I will get a turkey burger with smoked cheddar and sauteed mushrooms with fries which will cut into my dinner calories. They are soooooooooooo worth it though!

So for now I'm working with:

- Breakfast: 1 serving of Rice Krispies (130), 1 medium banana (105) and 3/4 cup Blue Diamond Unsweetened Chocolate Almond Milk (33-3/4). 268-3/4 calories total.

Might grab a Starbucks as well this morning. I get the Grande Skinny Cafe Misto for 90 calories.

Along with several hours of shopping (how much do you love that shopping burns calories??? :D), I'm going to go with my BFF to the gym instead of mine as mine will be closed by the time we are done shopping. So while I'll do the same routine I have been, since it's different machines I'm guessing they will provide different resistance than my body is used to. Won't necessarily mean more calories burned but help with keeping my muscles on their toes! :p

Hope everyone has a great Saturday!!!

fruitlady 02-19-2011 08:25 PM

Jiggle- could you be anemic? Low iron can make you feel that way or maybe your doing too much all day, without taking a break. Hope you feel better!

Saturdays are a happy day for me, it's my fruit shopping day at the Farmer's Market. Went to two different market's in search of the best deals. I did well, got loads of fruit, but still spent more than I wanted to. I ate alot of fruit when I got home, so my calories are high. Had 1725, at least it was a healthy way to go over. No walk today, the weather was wicked. We had 40mi. per hr.winds w/ temps in the 30's. I rode the bike for 30min. this morning, shopped for food all day, cleaned for 1 hr. & rode the bike again for 15min after dinner. I forced some skinless chicken down for dinner, didn't have enough protein for the day. I was not hungry after all the fruit, but I knew I needed it. Weight stayed the same, might be a gain tomorrow.

Ahh, that's funny about the basset hounds. :) It's probably the short legs! I have a lab/pitbull mix and a bichon frise who could go endlessly if I wanted them to, but my third dog is a dachshund/chihuahua mix and he can't keep up quite like the other two.. he's usually lagging behind by the end of it, hehe.

My progress: yesterday, I did my cleaning and ended up taking the dogs as well, though the temperatures had dropped. :( Snow and ice expected this week.. boo...

My calories weren't too bad, but I made some beanballs that were so tasty I ended up eating a couple more than I planned. :T Not a huge setback by any means but something I'll try to avoid next time.

As for my weight, I've been up 1 lb for a few days. I'm positive it's water weight but annoying nonetheless. I'm not entirely sure if I'll even be able to make the measly 4 lbs I set as my goal for this challenge, but I'm definitely going to try.
