Good call on the food scale, I don't even put mine away anymore. Watch with the pasta though, the weights on the box for servings are for dry pasta, it weighs more when it's cooked. Usually a serving is 1 cup cooked, but that's not 100% true all the time, but for pasta I use that as a rule of thumb if I can't figure it out any other way.
I find that my progress slows if I get lazy about counting calories. I'll get a little cocky and decide I know what I'm doing and skip logging my stuff on the daily plate and before I know it, things start to slow down. For 3 months now I have logged every single day, with as little guessing as possible, and I have been losing pretty steadily.
I think you're on the right track, the trick is to keep counting and logging...keeps you honest and keeps things from creeping in.
Glad to see you here!
