Pammi, is that July of this year you were a 14 and now in December you're a 4!!!!!!!!

How the heck did you do that?

I've tried them all....but for simplicity, and the option to backdate I use myfitnessplanner :)

I use LoseIt too. It does have a decent database, but I have had to "create" some foods. The nice thing is once you create them, it's all done and in there forever to access again. I also like the "previous meals" option. I eat pretty much the same thing for breakfast and lunch during the work week, so I just tap "previous meal" and yesterday's foods and calorie counts pop up.

My biggest annoyance is when you go to select an item off the restaurant database, it only lets you do one at a time...so if I have a chicken sandwich AND a cup of soup, i have to go through a bunch of screens in order to add the second item.

Overall, though, it's user friendly, portable, convenient and FREE...so who can complain about that?

Yup :)

I did it by religiously counting my calories every single day and I was working out 5-6 days a week. Intense cardio was all I was doing the 1st two months.

I was wearing a HRM also, and I made sure the calories counter was hitting at least 900 every session......

you were your own biggest loser. Wow. That's amazing. Got any before and after photos?

Will you slow down the intensity now that your a size 4 ore are you going for a 2?

Oh yes. I have a few but I cannot, for the life of me, can figure out how to upload them to the forum. And I have done it before LOL

I can send them to your email if you like :)

My goal was always 125 and now that I am closing in on it, I will probably aim for 115 or 120.
Losing weight is very addicting! :carrot:

I splurged a few years back on Crosstrainer 6 software. Nice, because even if our crappy dial-up internet goes out, which it often does, I can still log my food. And it's quick because I can save meals for easy entry.

tytbody 12-18-2010 08:57 PM

Feel free to email to me I want that addiction but I'm over 50 so I probably won't get that small.

I use My Fitness Pal. It's online and also in an iPhone app. I find that it almost always has the food I'm trying to log.

I use it too, and I really like it. It has apps for android and iPhone, and they are working on one for the Blackberry.
I love the fact that it has a data base of user added foods, which means that I almost always find what I'm looking for even if it's a UK only food.

For me the key is using something that is QUICK, otherwise I give up. This program ticks all the boxes.

When you use these things you don't need a bodybugg or fit bit do you?

No, I just use the program to track the calories I eat, not necessarily what I burn/use in a day. It's essentially just an electronic food log.

tytbody 12-19-2010 05:33 PM

Ok.. I d/ld just to see it.. Nice to try these things out as I might just get a fancy omron. If I track on etools, I may not need this

It does let you track exercise, but I guess it might not be as accurate as a bodybugg or one of those devices.

eilla05 12-27-2010 08:18 PM

I an old fashioned and just use paper and pencil and I input my total calories for the day into the body bugg program!

Oh and I agree Pammi we need to see some before and after photos! I need some motivation and inspiration!
