Oh dear. I had close to a 2000 calorie day yesterday. Just under. I had planned on making it a higher calorie day, but not by that much.

I did so well all day - fun picnic in the sun, good choices there for me. Good dinner, lower cal because I knew we were going out for dessert. 400 calories ish spare for dessert and for some reason unbeknownst to me, I thought that I would be ok to order a Creme Brulee. I guess I should have had some idea of how many calories they have. I assumed around 350. I assumed wrong. Apparently they can be around 550. Oh man. I ate that, a shortbread cookie (which I don't even like!), a taste of my boyfriend's waffle with chocolate sauce and 2 spoonfuls of strawberry icecream (which I also don't like!). I guess I made one good choice which was not to get a beer or wine (we went to a Belgian Beer Cafe for dessert) but I still feel like I failed a bit. I ate close to maintenance calories for a day.

I know it's not the end of the world but I feel so bad about it because it's the first time I've had a day like that where I hadn't officially planned for it by eating a few lower calorie days first. And it wasn't a special occasion like a birthday or holiday or anything. It was just a Saturday.

Silly Creme Brulee wasn't even that good, ice cold in the middle. I now know I'd have been better off going for something like the espresso with a selection of Belgian Chocolates or probably even the Pear tart they had! In fact I think even the waffle might have been a better option.

I just feel a like I let myself down a bit.

My goal will be staying on track, 1200-1400 calories a day.
so far this month has not been going too well, hopefully this challenge will help seeing as the deadline is rather soon, not some lofty months away goal.
thank you for making challenges such as these! its quite the motivator, and as a new member its new and exciting!
fingers crossed!
and good luck to you all, its wonderful to see so many people changing and bettering their lives, kudos to you!

Thanks lori! I have already gotten past it. I made yesterday a lower calorie day to compensate and my average for the week was under what it would have been had I eaten the amount of calories I plan for each day!

Hope everyone is having good weekends. It's Monday morning here and I'm excessively tired. More tired than I've been in a very long time. I'm thinking I might have to get a coffee to perk up a bit before I scare off customers - I have not been drinking nearly as much coffee as I used to so I try to limit it to 1 or 2 cups a week - but I think today calls for it.

This week is looking annoyingly busy and I just want some time to sleep! I wish early nights worked for me but I can't get to sleep until 11 most nights even if I get into bed earlier.

Had 1150 cal. today, I had 1 strawberry I dipped in some chocolate & 2 gummi bears, it was good. I stopped there! I almost went back for more, but we were busy going places. Only lost 1 ounce as of this morning, that's ok. I'm proud of myself for not going after the Halloween candy & the chocolate cake & brownies i baked. I didn't even taste any of it. The family ate the last of it today. I love to bake for Halloween, so next it will be a pumpkin bread. Good Luck to all!

Well, the end of another weekend (or the beginning of a new one, if you're rainbow

I have gotten back on track with my eating since my high calorie day on Friday, but have been slacking on the exercise again. Tomorrow should be ok, but I have a 12 hour day Tuesday. Then Wednesday after work I have to get ready for my trip to Kansas on Thursday. *sigh*. Well, if nothing else, I will try to at least make some time for a little yoga Tues and Wed.

The weekend was good. I stayed on plan but didn't get my workout in yesterday. It seemed like I cooked and cleaned all day. I lost one total inch for last week. I'm a little disappointed but not upset. As long as there is progress I'm good.

Lets make this week count for something BIG!!!

Whoa! I hadn't even realized that's it's been a couple of days since I checked in. I thought I only missed yesterday. lol Perimenopause is really playing with my memory.

It had been a crazy weekend. Yesterday my daughter and I did the 10K Aids Walk in Los Angeles. It was great! I was hoping to meet Bob Harper from Biggest Loser, but there were so many people there that there was no way that was going to happen. But after we got home we were so darn tired that we sacked out for the night. Long day, but it was worth it though.

I had actually gotten down to 172.5 yesterday morning, but am back up to 173 this morning. Probably due to water retention from that walk because I've been keeping my calories down to around 1400. I just know I'll have a drop tomorrow.

I hope everyone is doing well. Sorry I didn't do personals this morning (I'm still a little out of it ), but just know I am always thinking of you all during the day. It really keeps me on track knowing we are all fighting the same good fight!

Halloween Challenge!!!

It rained hard yesterday so I didn't get out for a bike ride, which is what I had wanted to do as I got a new bike. But I got plenty of activity with my horse and house work... Food is a bit rough right now as I am craving crap, but I know that's just because the weather had suddenly turned cold and murky. I do much better in the sunshine! So I'm working on being super aware of what I'm eating and how I feel when I eat it... hopefully being much more conscious of my food BEFORE I eat it will help me NOT eat the crappy stuff.

thanks rainbowstripe! I guess I could do that. I need something to pick me up, even if it is a small goal. I'm gonna go for losing 5 pounds before Nov. 1! That's 2.5 pounds a week. I do love a challenge

I'm feeling good-ish this week so far! Yesterday was hard, I was super tired and lethargic all day at work but I pushed through and did some good exercise last night - 30 minutes on the stationary bike and 15 minutes on the rowing maching, which I think counts as strength training maybe?

A really nice young woman (probably around my age) came into my work yesterday with fliers for a new Zumba class she's starting literally 1 minute walk from my work at 6pm on Tuesdays! So today after work I'm going to go along and give it a go. I've roped in my cousin and my boyfriend's mum haha! I am not sure how well I'll do or if I'll be able to keep up - I'm even a little nervous about the whole group fitness class thing, but I figure it's worth a go, and if I like it then it's an hour of exercise I can do on a Tuesday after work without procrastinating!

I'm doing pretty good on calories, although I was a little under yesterday. I worry about my body getting too used to lower calories and then being stubborn if I up them again, even if it is only 50-100 calories. Hrm.

Well I weighed in last night at my TOPS chapter and Ive lost 2 1/2 lbs. Ok I looked it up on Oct. 11 I weighed 260 1/2 now i'm 258. not bad for 1 week. Calories is doing good not getting over 1200 which is my goal. Im still doing water arobics 3 times a week and walking 40 minutes 3 times a week, with a little extra things on the side. Its been a good day so far but were suppose to have some tunderstorms coming in the area this afternoon and tonight. Well going to get off for awhile wil ck in later bye for now.

4 hours left in my 12 hour day...ugh. Would MUCH rather be working out than sitting at my desk! (Of course if I was sitting on my couch, that would be a different story, lol.) Having a lower calorie day today due to not having any time to work out tonight. I'll be at 1365 at the end of the day, which is just a tad less than my target range of 1400-1600. May try to sneak in some yoga when I get home, but I find if I do any "real" exercise after 7 PM, I can't get to sleep.

Tomorrow is my Friday though, and I leave for Wichita on Thursday. Can't wait to see my cousin and her family for a long weekend. I will just really have to watch my eating while I'm out of town if I want to have any hope of making this challenge!!

Congrats to those of you with losses already...WTG!!
