I have just returned from the gym and my does my body feel the workout. I got and alternating 2 miles on the treadmill and included some incline walking...maybe that's what it is. I'm on point with my calories so far today. I have been so focused so far this challenge. I have been under 1400 calories everyday so far and am on track for the same today.

AP - haven't done 30DS in a few months. It was my workout when I first started and I got great results. I was losing 3-4 total inches a week, I don't weigh so I have no idea how much I lost. Now I wish I had weighed myself at the very beginning because I would love to know my total weight loss when I get to goal.
YAYA - Don't get discouraged this early in the game. If you stick with it and come here for encouragement and motivation you will look back in six months and see an amazing difference. I know because I saw some pics of me from December 09 and am amazed at how far I've come. Don't worry about what you can't do now but look forward to when you will be on here typing your nsv about being able to handle the class with no problem.
Fruitlady - Since you were able to control your eating for those days last week, keep remembering that because you can do it again. Struggling financially is as hard as struggling with your weight but now is the time to be strong and stand your ground. It will be okay!!

Station Break: I am having a CRAZY craving for something salty and crunchy. OOOOOOOOOO HELP ME!!!!

Misspriss -
I didn't plan to be a gym rat but it's so addicting. It's the reason I don't do 30DS anymore.

I gotta go I'm going to find me something to curb these cravings.

It's Friday yay :D have tons of running around to do but I'm so happy to be able to sleep.. If I can anyway:) Going to mow the lawn and take my pup for a nice long walk all the things I love to do only way to tired when I have the time.
Going to rent a couple exercise games for the wii to see if the couple new ones I seen out are worth it ... have to find something that will not get boring.
I have to get.. have to keep this short this time .. TGIF :yay:

YaYaGirl 09-10-2010 03:47 PM

Fruitlady – sorry to hear you’re in a new job that you don’t like. I just lost a valued employee for the same reason, that we couldn’t give her enough hours. It stinks, but in the long run it’s worth it financially. Hugs to you.

Jackie – Maintaining even when the going gets tough is great! Hang in there, and sending positive thoughts to your Dad.

Losing4Another – Thank you for the positive words of encouragement, I really appreciate it. :D Have so much fun with your grandma this weekend! I’m totally jealous, I miss my Gram!

NorthernExposure – Hope you’re feeling better, my allergies have been so bad it’s debilitating. Happy birthday to your DH!

WesternSouthernGirl – That’s so cool that you get to go horseback riding. I’ve only been on a horse a few times but aside from it being fun, it’s supposed to be a great workout. Hope you had a fun run. :)

RainbowStripe – You lose when you have TOM? I gain about 5 lbs, you are a lucky gal. Although I’m sure it’s not luck since you are calorie counting, it’s hard work! Have fun with your family this weekend. ☺

MissPriss78 – That does sound like a deliciously naughty dinner. Send him to Cracker Barrel while you have your healthy dinner. Ha!

JiggleFree – You are absolutely right! It was difficult and intimidating, but I have no regrets about sticking it out. I am more motivated than I have ever been so I know this time is my time!

Today was weigh in day and I wasn’t impressed. Down 1 lb! It’s fine, but my weight fluctuates between 2-5 pounds daily because I retain a lot of water so as far as I’m concerned, it’s part of my general fluctuations. But, I’m very motivated and doing a nice long walk this afternoon. It’s finally cooling down and I am ready to lose the rest of the weight!

rainbowstripe 09-10-2010 07:07 PM

YaYaGirl I don't know if I lose or gain during TOM, I've never paid attention before really, my first TOM since changing my lifestyle was right at the beginning and I wasn't weighing at that point often, and this is my first one since I'm weighing more than once every few weeks ( I skip my period with the pill sometimes ) so I guess we'll see if I lose or gain - I'm not too worried either way, I'm just glad to have lost since my 2 week plateau.

Just relaxing this weekend really. Going to exercise soon, and then going out with my mum for a few hours - treating myself to a new nail polish and getting my 2011 diary (already hah!). Hope you ladies all have a good weekend.

halfbakedlibrarian 09-11-2010 12:30 PM

Wow Lori259 and LLMW, in the 140's that is so great!! And everyone else is doing great too. Glad to see it, I need the inspiration. My weigh in is monday and I am trying trying trying but I have a bigger problem then I thought. I EAT all the time. I am always hungry, my brain does not register full- ever! Maybe I should look at the overeater posts.

Losing4another 09-11-2010 12:56 PM

llmw- You can do it :D

Halfbaked- I know what you mean ..I feel the same way when I start a diet. You have to find a hobby or something to keep you busy when you have free time.. I took up knitting taught myself and did that while watching TV in the evening instead of snacking

Lori- Hope everything is okay with Cami  Sorry I didn't get that post up for ya was helping another friend with some problems and couldn't get back online.. let me know if you need anything hun

Stepped on the scale this morning 225.2 ..can't believe it :) Just four pounds from my goal.. Not changing it though you never know when the scale will stop moving...yea I'm just scared to set it higher

misspriss78 09-11-2010 02:53 PM

Hey chicks, quick pop in here! Feeling good this morning, im back to my old habits of weighing every day  im hoping for a loss before my official WI day on tuesday(this week, it changes weekly,) anyways. Got my workout in earlier, did a high intensity step aerobics workout followed by about 35mins of power yoga.

YaYagirl, I was thinking the same thing about DH and his dinner...there is a crackle barrel not to far from here too. Now's he talking about eating pizzahut tomorrow:dizzy: What am I going to do with him  Nice job on your weight loss!!

Losing4another-WTG on your weight loss :carrot:

Jiggle-:woohoo: your on fire with your focus...nice!

Hello to everyone i missed, gotta get off this computer. I will bb tomorrow:hug:

fruitlady 09-11-2010 10:51 PM

Hi Chicks- Thank you for your advice, every bit of it is true. You guys are great!

I had 1250 cal. today, 100 more than yesterday, but that's ok, it's within my range. Losing that water weight finally too! I'm not buying ice cream any more, I got an ice cream maker for my birthday, I'm gonna try it tomorrow without eating too much. I'll cut the recipe ingredients in half, that way everyone can have some and I'll have a small amount and hopefully it will be gone. I want no left overs lingering in the freezer. If I ever make it just for myself, I'll just make like 2 servings at a time, controlled portions are the way to go for me when it comes to ice cream or peanut butter. I didn't overeat for 3 days now, in fact I wasn't even hungry for anything processed at all. Day 4 is usually when I crave junk. I hope I can get through the day without cravings tomorrow. Good luck to us all, to have a successful weekend!

rainbowstripe 09-12-2010 02:04 AM

Just checking in - no weight to report as I've been trying to stop obsessing over the scale all weekend!
Have kept right on plan with my calories though and been making a much better effort getting in more fruits (and veges, but I was already pretty good there).
Exercised on plan for the majority of the week and am really hoping that my low mood perks up a bit this coming week.

losing4another Let me know if any of the Wii games you try out are any good! I have only used Wii fit and am hesitant to spend money on getting any other games - especially as I'll most likely have to order them online - the range New Zealand gets is so lacking compared to other countries.

LoriKeeping you in my thoughts.

jigglefree 09-12-2010 09:01 AM

Good Morning Ladies,
Yesterday was a very busy day but very rewarding. I went to Goodwill and tried on some sweaters that were size large and they were a comfortable fit. I was so excited. I tried on some workout pants in size large and they really looked good. It took a minute to absorb because I don't recall ever wearing anything in a large since I left high school. I was a little worried that I was trying to on things that were going to be too small. I was asking an older woman how the sweaters looked because all the sweaters I've ever worn were huge on me so you couldn't see all my fat rolls. She was like that looks great, it should fit like that. :carrot::carrot:I did stay withing my calorie limits for the last two days. We are going to brunch today to celebrate a friend's birthday. I will be calculating as much as possible.

Rainbow - Keep going the adjustments will happen. I don't know if the obsessing over the scale will ever pass. Hopefully you can embrace the scale and the progress.
Fruitlady - I'm sure you can do it. Just looking at it one day at a time and you will find it will be a whole month and you will have controlled your eating...even with ice cream and peanut butter!! :D
Misspriss - You are still rocking those workouts. Hopefully it rubs off on me!!! I seem to get lazy on the weekends...not sure why because I just got like that over the summer. Gotta get back on task.
Losing - Oh go ahead and set it higher...what will it hurt...you will just be farther along! :)
Halfbaked - The constant hunger is your body adjusting and it will get better. I used to have a REAL problem stopping when I ate something that I thought was really good. It didn't matter if I was full or not I just kept eating. It took about a week of me telling myself I wasn't going to keep eating because I had a goal that I was determined to accomplish. :carrot:
llm - Welcome, we're making progress and having fun. So jump in and post often!!
Lori - I'm praying for you and your family!!

Well time to get the young lady ready for the day. I gotta find something for us to wear. I'll check in later to report how I did at the brunch because it's a buffet at Copeland's. I LOVE that place.

ap90 09-12-2010 01:23 PM

Lori - Sorry about your family worries right now I hope things get better.

jigglefree 09-12-2010 05:34 PM

I made it at the buffet. I've never done the buffet at Copelands and probably won't again. It is not designed for a person watching their weight. It is definitely catering to the just eat until you burst. I didn't though. I ate only what was convenient and got lots of protein.

I ate a little something when I first woke up because I'm usually hungry so I age 150 calories...my usual. When I got there I probably ate a lot of chicken, which is where most of the calories were so I will say I ate about 850 calories. I haven't eaten since so I'm about where I would be this time of day normally. I didn't eat any bread and none of the desserts. YAY!! I'm not so hungry right now but my husband made a great dinner so I will eat a little. I think I should close the day out at 1400. Maybe eat no more than 200-300 calories because he put in a lot of effort so I have to eat something.

rainbowstripe 09-12-2010 06:08 PM

Have woken up with the same lethargy/low mood that was hassling me last week. This morning it was so bad I considered calling in sick to work - then rememebered that since it's sole-charge I kind of can't do that on the day of work, would have had to do it last night. And I need the money, I can't afford not to work when I only work 3.5 days a week. I just feel like I need some time to myself. Which is really silly because the days I'm not working, at least the 2 weekdays, I have to myself. I can do what I want. I don't do much at all.
I think I'm just in a little rut of sorts. My weeks seem so routine and mundane, even my days off work are always the same - I exercise and then do a lot of not much at all.
I'm scared to get back into my painting studio because it feels like I am forcing myself to.
Sorry for the small rant.

jigglefree Buffets are not so great are they...we don't have that many in New Zealand, but I avoid them anyway, but I think you did really well! Thanks for the encouragement, I really hope I'll have a proper drop after TOM - had a small one last week when it started, but would like to see some more haha.
