Jiggle: :congrat: for starting the 30DS!!! I will to start swimming next week because we are going to open the pool soon. I think that I’m not frustrated but a little afraid because I know that my progress will slow down and I will need to make changes, and I’m not sure about how I will deal with them. It will be very selfish to feel frustrated because I lost 32.6 pounds in 2 months and a half and for me that it is much more than what I was expecting to lose in that period of time.
Lori: I’m so happy for you being able to enjoy the nice weather again!!! SugarRox: Your plants problem makes me remember my mom. When her plants were dying, she sent them to my grandpa. I have her luck with plants, but I have a pothos that have survived living with me for almost 10 years. However, now I’m trying to save it because my husband took the plant out and it is an interior plant. At night it was burned by the cold and at day it was damaged by the direct sun. Now, it is back to its original spot and it is recovering. I’m sure that it will take a year to see it big and healthy as before but it a plant easy to care if you kept it inside. I just get an Allusion plant (I’m not sure which type) and it is looking great so far. KDM: :thanks: I wanted to be at 165 last week LOL but I’m closer now!!! :goodluck: with your TOM! I’m trying to figure out how much it affects or not my weight. ShylahEQ: A slow TM can be useful when reading!!! :goodluck: with your 30ds. I’m starting to consider having it. |
Aluxa you are so close to your next mini goal. How exciting!!
|
Shylah: you're doing better than me. I started out in January trying to do C25k and it killed me. I told myself I'd try again once I got under 200. It killed my knees. Well, I'm under 200, so I need to quit being a wimp, huh? I also said I'd try jumping rope and do the 30DS after I got under 200. I DID try jumping rope today for the first time since January! I did 3 sets of 20 and woooooweeee, my heart was pounding! I'm going to get 30DS this weekend, I promise! I need to figure out how to download C25k. I'm so techno dumb! I just have a little mp3 player, and haven't been able to figure it out. It all says for Ipod. Sorry to ramble.
Zoochick: My daughter wants to be a zookeeper when she grows up! Either that or a marine biologist. We're only about 4 hours from NO, maybe we could come see you some day! I'm glad to see you back in the challenge. Hope to hear lots from you. SugarRox: I hope you hear from your DH soon. Are you in central Texas? I'm in East Texas. Sounds like you did well staying OP even though you went out with your mom! Jiggle: I agree with you completely about 3FC and these challenge buddies especially keeping me from quitting! I've been low the last two days and feeling like nothing is happening anymore. I'm finding that the end of my TOM is the worst for me. I get bluesy and headachey at the end and just want to eat cheesy, bready, CINCO DEMAYO goodies!! Speaking of our babies - I'm thinking what a difference I'm going to see in the pictures of his second birthday than I did of his first birthday! I looked horrible!! Another thing is that our babies aren't going to remember us fat! They'll look back at those old pictures and say, "who is that holding me?" While it may be a little sad, I'll be so glad to not be "her" anymore, ya know?! Lori: Please show a picture of your new Siberian Irises when they bloom. I love anything Russian because my precious little flower is a Russian Princess (my daughter!). She's not from the Siberian region, but still - they're Russian LOL. Krista: You are soooo stinkin' close to those 60's I think I may be more excited than you are to see you make it!! You're motivating me to get my bootie in gear and go get 30DS at WalMart. Aluxa! You're about to your Goal 1! That is amazing! Farn: I agree with Aluxa, I'll bet school stress is keeping you from losing. It'll whoosh off soon! You've been doing great - keep it up, don't quit! Fit: I'm with everyone else wanting to know what workout you did to burn 500 cals! I want that! I did a weigh in this morning on the WiiFit and was FINALLY down 1.6 pounds so I got to move my ticker to 195!! I'm ready to say adios and hasta la vista baby to these 90's and see my 80's. Just two more pounds and my pounds left to goal will only be in the teens!!! Of course I may be re-thinking my goal when I get closer. The 174 is what I weighed when I got married May 13, 1995. I'm thinking I may like to go about 10 pounds lower. I'd wear an 8 at that size, Jiggle!! A single digit! Plus, I'm only 4 pounds away from 50 pounds lost! Ok, I've got to go workout while the baby is asleep, then try and eat some lunch. |
:carrot::carrot::carrot::carrot::carrot: Hey Ya'll!!
I'm getting behind in my water. I'm still trying to get that second liter in but before my head hits that pillow tonight I will have had 3 liters!!! I'm going to workout after I get off work. I just hope it's not too hot because yesterday that place was an OVEN. I'm really sensitive to fragrances and the smells in that place were terrible. I could only do my 20 minutes on the treadmill. Susie - I was starting to wonder where you were. It seems like when I have that thought you post. How cool is that? Anywhoo, Go get the 30DS and you will really enjoy it. It's going to be lots of fun even on the first day when you just want to lay in the floor midway through the workout. The good is it's only a 20 minute workout. So by the time you think you can't possibly take anymore...it's over!! I did think about what my daughter would say to me when she is looking at those "before" pictures!!! She will try to do the 30DS with me but the moves are a little complex so she just jumps around and wait for the crunches she almost has those so she can do them alone. That's how she passes the potty time...doing something like a crunch!! It's Hilarious...:exercise::exercise:!! Aluxa - I started 30DS a while ago. Then I started alternating it with my gym workout. Now I am challenging myself to do it everyday for 30 days...no rest day. I started the first day of this challenge but missed a day so I had to start over. I will get 30 days in. You're doing so well and adding swimming should propel you towards a bigger loss. Shylah - Keep working at it. It will increase as you go. I used to tell myself I can do 15 more seconds. If you get too tired or winded just slow down. I never thought I would be able to do any incline walking and I can now. So keep moving. I'm so trying to stay away from the TSPs because if they fit on Saturday Morning when I measure and try them on I can wear them to girls night to celebrate. I so want to pimp those jeans!!! KDM - Glad to hear you weren't affected. You can do it. Level 2 ain't no joke. I have to alternate it with level 1. My back isn't ready for all that just yet. I'm sure by the end of the 30 days of level 1 I will be able to do 30 days of level 2. Sugar - My TSPs...Well, in the last challenge we started the Sisterhood of the Traveling Shrinking Pants. Susie sent them to me and when I they fit me and get loose then I will send them to someone else. They are a pair of Old Navy size 16 Jeans. I love it because I'm uber motivated to get them to a place I can comfortably get in them. I can fit them but the muffin top is more than I care to see. If the 30DS pays off I will be able to wear them on girls night out this weekend. I just need to make sure the muffin isn't a full cake. They make my legs and thighs look so small. (Oh I'm rambling cause those jeans get me excited)!! In light of the conversation of the Sisterhood of the Traveling Shrinking Pants...Who's next. Is there anyone in this challenge that thinks that they will be in an 18 mid June and want to be next to receive the pants. I say mid June because I want to wear them a little while to show off before I relinquish them. They are so cute but you have to be short because these are only for the short and sexy!! It's so exciting to get them in the mail. It's like receiving a care package in the mail from your mom when you are away at college. Or could it just be me. |
Jiggle: On the TSP's, I was thinking that even if someone is taller, they could cuff them and turn them into capri's, what do you think? That's still in style, isn't it?
|
Susie - I guess that could work. I didn't think about that.
TSP UPDATE: Who's Next? Everyone is eligible!!! |
Not me, I'm working my way into size 18 still.
I hope we get pics of you rockin' those pants Jiggle!! |
If I’m close to my first goal for this challenge that is because of all of you. I have wanted to lose weight for years but I did not start to do it in the right way until I find this community on February 18. I started my new lifestyle on the 19. My efforts without your support may have result in nothing. So you should feel responsible for my weight loss. :thanks:

Hey Chics, quick check in for me. Today i did an awesome workout with step aerobics, upper and lower body weights for almost 80minutes. I just felt the need to kick a little but. The dvd i did was by Cathe friedrich called BM2 Anyone heard of her? She's awesome, and im not trying to sell anything,LOL. I have been sweating to her dvd's for almost 5yrs now:) I wore my Heart rate monitor and burned a total of 501 calories! Man i was sweating buckets:dizzy:
anyhoot, nothing has changed on the scale, still holding onto water, blah, blah, blah Aluxa-I wished i could get into the 160's like you, all your hard work is paying off. WTG on your accomplishments! Maybe i will be joining you in the 160's(you will probably be in the 150's by then) by the end of this challenge!:) Hello to EVERYONE OUT THERE IN CYBER LAND! Hugs and i will bb tomorrow:hug: |
Hello Chicks, I have been so busy getting my patio ready for summer that I had no time to post. I was down to 106 a couple of days ago, my husband had off Sunday and Monday and I binged on both days. Gained 5 lbs! I haven't weighed this much since last July. I feel so bloated with water that I can hardly get through my walks every morning. I got right back on plan yesterday, but still no change in my weight. I'm starting to get worried that I won't be able to lose it again. Two days of binging in a row really did me in! I vowed to never do it again!

sorry.. newbie here. What is the deal with the TSP's? is this a pair of pants ya'll have mailed to each other and passed along? If so that is SO freaking awesome! I love it!
Lori- I love all your talk about your garden. I keep saying I want to plant a couple flowers but I have no idea how to start. lol... and don't think i would be good at keeping them alive, everytime I've tried its been unsuccessful  So many of you are talking about the 30DS is it really good? I'm moving into my own apt next month (currently share a place with my sis) and was thinking about getting some work out dvd's. don't feel comfortable doing them with her around. So I am open to suggestions. Had a good week so far, storms weren't too bad here. Just tons of rain tuesday, been on track with my eatting so far, and have worked out every day. bring on the second half of the week. |
Well I ended up eating more calories today than I originally planned to, so I'm gonna try to do a workout tomorrow morning. I usually don't workout when I'm off of work since I do so much physical activity at work.
Susie That's awesome that she wants to be a zookeeper. It's a very fun, rewarding job. I don't work at the zoo though, I work for another Audubon facility called Audubon's Center for Research of Endangered Species. It's closed to the public. But ya'll definitely should go visit the zoo, I love spending the day there! |
Hi all! I'm a newbie:wave: and I would like to join in this challenge. :cheer3:
I have two challenges for myself. 1) No fastfood! From now through May 31st.:club: 2) Lose 8 lbs by May 31st:ebike: Both of these are lofty goals for me I am ready to challenge myself! |
:wave:Had lots to catch up on here. :)
Not being able to workout is practically killing me. I have been able to keep OP for the most part. Keeping motivated right now is important. Im hanging in there:carrot: Have a fabulous evening everybody! |
OMG~ I am way behind on posting Looks like & I am in a huge hurry tonight.
To answer some questions as for the siberian iris ~it was just a start so may not bloom til next season but when it does I will post pics promptly!! Or if it it does this year I will~They are very dainty & pretty when in bloom. As for those that wanna garden but have back thumb~go to the place you wanna buy flowers at~write a list of the types your interested in before purchasing them.....Then go home & google them to see if they would work where u wanna plant them~also study how much water/sun/shade/ect. they need.~Remember a perrenial(I say the "p" is for permanent) this Is the Ones that should come back the next year if it works in your zone~google your zone too to make sure. ~Annuals are just for the season & do not come back unless they are a re-seeder also u can find out buy google.~my parents was into flowers all my life & I could have cared less ~didn't know swat about them & as soon I bought my own home i got into them~just took a little studying Kinda like learning to count calories does~i even kept a notebook at first to write down how to care for everything as I bought it. www.davesgarden.com has some great ideas on there~I am not amember but I google there name with any plant I am interested in & it comes up!!LOL Anyone I missed ~i adore ya all~HUGS TO ALL~ I am worn out~Did get a new weight today ~156.4 got to switch my ticker again finally!that outdoors is working!:D (Not checking for errors so ignore my typing /spelling errors please!!) |
