I can't seem to understand the scale??? As I said on Friday, it was 190.6...and now it's back up to 192.0??? It did this the week before last where I got down to 191 and then it slowly crept back up to 193 over the next 2-3 days and stayed at 193 for 3 days then started going back down...WHAT THE HECK??? I bought the freakin digital so that I could see little moves like this, but it's driving me crazy!! Maybe I should just try to weigh my self every Monday since that my official WI day? However, I am "supposed" to have my TOM this week...if it comes. I went off the pill 3 wks ago so this is my 4th week off & should start...but before I started the pill, I was never regular so we'll see...I guess I can hope the weight is pre-TOM lol
If 190.6 wasn't a true weight, then it's gonna be hard hitting 185...but I'm still gonna try!!! :o) Glad to see everyone back from the Tgiving challenge AND all the newbies! STAY STRONG THROUGH ALL THE TEMPTATION THIS SEASON BRINGS!!!! :o) |

I like the idea of mini goals. I think it will help me to stay on track better.
I want to do some form of cardio 3+ times per week I want to weight train at least twice a week. I would like to weigh at or below 145 by Christmas, so that would mean losing a minimum of 5 pounds. I can do it....... but...... I need to quit eating so many treats!!!! I am a candy/cookie/ice cream fiend. I eat multiple treats nearly every day, and I need to stop! Today I've had a small chocolate chip cookie, and that's going to be it. I don't need anymore sweets today! It also doesn't help that I will be on my period within the week. I want to make a ticker, but I'm not sure if I have enough posts. |
Count me in. I'd like to lose 6 pounds by Christmas. I think it can be done. I also want to go to the gym more consistently. It's hard in my line of work this time of year... but I really need to go at least 3 times a week.

As of today, I'm 188. I'm aiming for <185. Conservative, but with all the Christmas parties etc. in the next few weeks, I'm not going to set myself up for failure.
Of course, if I were to blow that out of the water, that wouldn't be a bad thing... |
Checking in for the first week. Down 3lbs this week, which I'm totally thankful for because I had bad TOM this week. Moving on... :) Hope everyone has a good week!!

I might be a little late on this but count me in. I'd like to lose 4-5 pounds by Christmas and during the break I'd like to go to the gym every other day. That's my goal.

I've been lurking on this site for a while and now I think it's time to join in and challenge myself (need the accountability!). I'd like to lose 5lbs by Christmas, which is reasonable assuming I can avoid Friday donuts and bagels at the office, and get off my butt consistently. Easier said than done, hence the necessity of a challenge!

I need a group to join so I feel like I have something I am working towards and I feel accountable. I would like to lose 3 pounds by Dec. 25th. I am TRYING to follow the 4 Day Diet plan but I am also counting calories. I will only be enjoying Christmas goodies at Christmas! I am sterting at 227 pounds. |

I always claim the lowest weight I see And sometimes I do not see that weight again for a week or 2....I stay on Plan (other than Thanksgiving day) & Still have days of 2 pounds or so difference..Its Just some days We may eat foods that stay in our body longer or salty things that make us hold more water...So I wouldn't worry myself about it...Just stay On plan & you should get a big swoosh of loss real soon. My kids go back to school On tuesday So that will make my temptations of food a little easier since they wanna eat all day long when there off for Thanksgiving Break....But I have done great...Just need a bit of a break I think....Me & my hubby have only had a sitter for all 3 of our kids 1 time....and overnight 1 time and we had to go pick up one of them that night because they was crying for us...LOL~We do not get along with our families & I do not trust anyone to really watch them but me & my hubby ~The stuff you see on the news Just freaks me out from anybody! Anyways My oldest is 16, then 11. then 9 So I need a bit of a break....Even them being at school though is dangerous anymore....Seemed so much safer when I was a kid...But Maybe I just didn't know danger at that age. Thanks for the kick-start:kickbutt: I really needed some motivation to get back into some regular exercise. Rather than set a target weight or pounds to lose, I'm going to commit to working out regularly again - walking, rebounding, DVD workouts - something every day, 6x per week. I feel best to do something daily (with a day of rest). We'll see where that lands me on the scale and waistband ;) :goodluck: to everyone! Jean |

WELCOME - all the new folks to the challenge!
Hey all just wanted to share my good news about my first day of vacation and being out of routine. I packed baggies with oats, almonds and cinnamon so I had a healthy breakfast ready to go. I got up this morning and went to the gym (yes, a random gym in a new city, I went as a visitor) and did a sixty minute cardio and strength class - we used the BOSU (those weird half flat, half spherical things) which challenges balance and it was great. Then had a reasonable sized lunch out with friends, and dinner out with friends at an italian restaurant. Had half my entree wrapped up and brought home in a doggie bag, and ordered dessert but didn't eat it all. Probably more calories than an average day, but within in reason, and besides the class at the gym also did a ton of walking today. Here's to four more days of keeping to plan while on vacation! |
Morning, just a quick check in post here.
I plan on doing a 45min cardio on the treadmill this evening. Im back down to what i was last sunday so maybe the scale will cooperate and keep going in the right direction;) i plan on having a splurge meal sunday..lets pray i can go that long:dizzy: Lori-You are so sweet, thanks. Well I think I lost a lb and a half of what I wanted but some progress is better than no progress :) I'll be lofty and make my goal to lose 3 lbs putting me at my initial goal.
