Well, tonight will be my first official weigh-in for two weeks. I am just hoping that I do not weigh more than 172 which is what I weighed at home right before Thanksgiving. Still, that's only a slight hope because I haven't been doing my best the past week.

~As far as the niece~I adore little ones~There so cutesy at that age...I Hope in a few Long years my daughter will make me a grandma~since all my nieces & nephews are growing up as my children are.(My daughter is just 16 now~SO A FEW LONG LONG LONG YEARS FROM NOW LOL)

As for my day..................My daughter seems better~ Not well But better....so hopefully she is well within next day or 2. My hubby seems worse.......So hopefully he gets better by 2morrow morning....Or may have to take him back to the emergency room~Since he is on antibiotics & getting worse.
My 2 boys & me are still free of there sickness....THANK GOD.

OH I FOUND A NEW HOBBY ~THAT I LOVE:

When I got to my My 1 year anniversary of counting calories On November
11th ~I did My nails~Painted them And put on Nail art...And I never had used nail art before But I felt pretty or girly for once from all the weight loss and it was fun....I Have been keeping up with doing them since then and get lots of compliments....Its weird...LOL ~But I Love doing it~It's so cool to find new stickers and different colors of nail polish.......It's something cheap for the winter to keep me occupied I guess LOL~But In the Summer I may wanna pretty up my toes~So who knows~ As far as just painting my nails ~I hadn't even done that for years! So I am enjoying this Very much...Since I wear alot of jewelry It looks well with it.

Well.............I am sooooooooooooooo verrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrry sleepy~gotta get some zzzzzzzzz

Well, today was a bit rough. I had to fly out to SoCal for work, which meant a 7am start at the airport, which meant no gym - and I actually missed it! Then a day in a training room with food catered in - ugh. I did OK-ish - I had a half bagel with just jam (instead of an inch thick dollop of cream cheese) and a few slices of fresh pineapple that was soooo good. Lunch was a lot of salad with a bit of dressing (on the side), a portobello mushroom sandwich and a chicken one (these were about 2" square, on ciabatta bread, and I took the top piece of bread off both), and a cup of navy bean soup which was really tasty. I skipped the chips that were offered, and I did have a cheesecake dessert - it was in a shot glass! One was enough, it was so rich. Heading home, I had an apple and almonds that I'd taken with me, and once home, I was back on track. But man - one day out of routine and I'm all flustered. Will be good to get back into the swing of things tomorrow, starting with the gym at 5:15am!

Oh yay, I love Christmas!!!:snowglo: I'm in and have a couple goals. I want to get to 197 pounds and I want to work out at least four times a week.

Krista, you are doing well to weigh in at ten pounds less than when you were married!!! Those first few years are notorious for gaining weight, so it's good that you are going in the opposite direction.

Lori, I hope you and your family will soon be saying good-bye to all of the illness that has been hanging around for the past week or so:hug:.

julesp313, It sounds like you managed to do pretty well with your day out of the box. I know what you mean though--it is sooo much tougher when we get away from our routine.

misspriss, I can tell you still have the right spirit, girl!

As for me, I am 172 which is down to where I was the week before Thanksgiving. So, all in all, that is a good thing since it means I didn't get too far off track with that one day of not counting calories. So I rate myself 3 out of 5 stars for how I handled Thanksgiving ( 1 star = completely blowing plan by eating mindlessly and 5 stars= total control with no excessive eating).

Tonight I am supposed to go to a Christmas party and take a dish. So this will be #1 of the Christmas gatherings I have to get through. I will rate myself later on how well I do with this one.

At Boston airport waiting to board and thought I'd jump on to update about the rest of my vacation. Overall the week went well, Tuesday I took a yoga class and yesterday I took a pilates class - wanted to take advantage of being in a big city to try something new. Once ate at dunkin donuts but had an egg white and turkey sausage flatbread which is filling and has lots of protein and only something like 350 calories. Did go out for dessert but it was a fancy chi chi place so the dessert itself was pretty small - more focused on appearance than size. It was crustless cheesecake (probably the amount that would have filled a shotglass) with a bunch of blueberries. My one slip-up was yesterday - was meeting a friend for lunch and he was running late so I was SO hungry and ended up eating more than I should have. Gotta run - flight is boarding. I'm ready to get home and get back into my routine. Keep up the great work everybody!

well, I did a little upper body stuff yesterday, and I am sore, my muscles are....I think the scale is showing water weight. 173.0 Come on Down weight!

David - I would say with a job like yours, you're already exercising! :)

Today is much better - being at home instead of out of town makes things so much easier (duh!). Didn't bring lunch to work, though, as I thought I would be at a client - that didn't happen so I had to make it up as I went. Got steamed vegs (truly steamed - no oil or butter for once!) with grilled chicken and brown rice. I asked the cafe (it's in my office building so they know us all pretty well) how they cook the chicken and rice, and neither are cooked with any oil or butter - that made me feel so much better about eating it. And I had them do a half portion of rice which is 1/2 cup, so I knew how much I was chowing down!

I know this isn't the right forum, but has anyone tried the Shape Up shoes from Skechers? A friend of mine in LA just told me he and his husband both have them and can really feel them working. Wondered if anyone else had any insight to offer!

Well, I'm officially in a new decade!!! Scale has said 189.6 two days in a row!! WAAHOOOO!!! Did a little dance, but nothing crazy LoL

emileigh...well I did gain...40lbs in 2 yrs! lol...but have slowly been taking that off since June 08...it's all gone now!!!

david..I agree...sounds like your job is already a workout...probably 6-8hrs worth! lol

wonder what my official WI day will bring? waiting for monday...

Ugh

Hormone-fueled eat everything day. I feel crappy. And I haven't exercised since Monday and I'm not going to.

I'm sure the scale will be up a bit. How do you not lose your resolve with PMS? I always turn into a lazy eating monster. It also doesn't help that I'm super tired.

Hugs to all~I am In a zippping by Hurry But wanted to say to tanna banana~I had the same problem...Exercise cures it...I Walk when I am hungry During pms and cramping~makes it all go away......It sucks but once ya do it ~You will forever on.

Hope everyone had a great day....I gotta pay bills tommorrow....so I gotta get some zzzzzzz So the mind is working well tommorrow because during my TOM I Have memory problems ....LOL~which exercise doesn't help tanna banana!

I have been so busy the past couple of weekends that I have not been able to weigh myself with my normal parameters of weighing in. So, I have been weighing myself here and there just to check, but I don't want to take an official WI from those since it's not what I normally do...if that makes sense?

It's kind of frustrating ;) And I'm going away this weekend as well, so it will be another whole week before I can get an official weigh in to hopefully move my ticker down!! haha

Sounds like everyone's doing well though. I check this thread everyday even if I'm not posting because I love reading how everyone's doing. Keep up the good work :)

Good morning everyone. Seems as if we're all busy losing weight or trying to lose weight. Sometimes life just gets in the way. I weigh in tomorrow so I'm anxious to see if I lost anything this week after last weeks 2.5 loss. That a big loss for me and I usually don't do much on the second week after a big loss. But who can tell until I step on the scale tomorrow. Anyway it goes, I had a good week with food and exercise so I'll not worry about it. That being said I'm off to hem a pair of pants for DIL and then I'm going shopping for a while. Catch you all later.
