I do count veggies, and count the carbs in them, too

I count veggies, in terms of weight when i can and "eyeballing it" when I can't (aka when at a restaurant), because at the end of the day a calorie is a calorie and as someone said you might only eat 120 calories of veggies but thats 840 calories at the end of the week or 3360 (nearly a pound!) a month.

I count most veggies and I eyeball them. I don't count celery, onion or mushrooms though.

I used to not, but sometimes there is a surprise on how it ads up... and since I've been using the Bodybugg I try and be as accurate as possible so I can get the deficit I'm aiming for for a better loss.

On a 1200 calorie diet counting the veggies probably isn't worth it.

I most certainly count my veggies. I must. I usually consume way over 500 calories worth a day and to not count them would be disastrous. Though I count them, I don't measure accurately. I don't agonize if I'm eating 1 3/4 cup of cauliflower or 2 cups. I approximate it, always counting up.

I don't, probably because I lost all my weight on Weight Watchers and they always had zero points.
This is one of the main reasons WW would not work well for me. The idea of having *free* foods (zero points) would wind up costing me waaaaay too much.

You may want to count some veggies (carrots, sweet potatoes, corn, broccoli, winter squashes, tomatoes, peppers, etc) and not others (celery, mushrooms, lettuce, radishes .You have to do (find) what works for you. Being open to change if you find what's once worked, no longer does.

Yes, I certainly do count veggies! I eat a lot of veggies, and at an average of 40 calories per cup (for the LOW carb veggies - high carb veggies can be twice as much), they add up. On a 1200 calorie day, 3 cups of low-carb veggies is 10% of my allowance.

I'm not as strict about measuring veggies, because they are not so calorie dense as other foods, but I do approximate and add them to my log. And I'm very careful at measuring the more calorie-dense foods such as fruit, proteins etc.

If measuring everything makes you crazy and you are losing weight anyway, maybe that's fine for you. But with a BMR of around 1100 calories, a few calories one way or the other makes a whole lot of difference for me.

I count some, but not all. The ones I don't count are lettuce, spinach and celery. I don't measure exactly on veggies either.

I don't track ketchup, mustard, or powdered spices either. It's such an insignificant amount for me that it's not worth the mental anguish to track a few shakes of garlic powder.
