I didn't see the episode of House, but working in a clinic, everytime I watch it it brings something up in my head that disturbs me. I've learned to stay away from House...lol! Oh, and Grays Anatomy too.
Today is just going to have to be written off as a cheat day. One of our nurses celebrated 12 years of being breast cancer free today, with a party and ice cream cake...onion rings...and super spicy hot wings...all her favorite foods that she could not palate while doing chemo. So...ya...I'm working out extra hard tonight at the gym, taking it super easy with dinner, and tomorrow back on plan. |
Just a quick check-in to let you all know that I made my mini-goal! I have now lost 27.5 pounds....1/3 of my total goal....and as was pointed out to me 10% of my total body weight! I am celebrating by making myself a nice beaded necklace this weekend, one of my hobbies.

Good Morning All:)
Hydra-CONGRATULATIONS!!!! Im so happy for you!!!! :carrot: Mango30-Your cheat day sounded DELISH. Im planning on a 'little something' sunday evening for supper. babybluess-Glad to hear you feeling better! I know what your saying about early morning workouts...i try not to do any step aerobics, might end up on my butt:dizzy:. Hello to everyone i missed! I plan on doing a step aerobics workout today along with some abb work. Im trying out a couple of recipes that are posted here at 3FC. The Turkey patties (which i will cook and freeze) and the Cheesy Enchilada's...they sound really good. Anyone try any other recipes? have a good day... |
Hi everyone! I had to share -- I've made it half-way, as of this morning. 40.4 pounds of my 80 pound goal are G-O-N-E. (Never to be seen again, right!)
I had two weeks of half-pound or less losses and then I pulled out almost a 4 pound loss this week. I'm so happy! My body REALLY didn't feel like letting go of these pounds, I guess. But it finally did! It's taken me 18 weeks (about 4 months) and I'm averaging a loss of 2.2 pounds a week. (2.0 pounds a week if you don't count my first week 7 pound loss.) I'm hoping to keep up the 2-ish pounds a week average but I know it's going to get tougher as I continue to get smaller. I know it will probably take me more than 4 months to take off the second half of the weight, but I'm already feeling so good about everything I don't care :) I know I'll get there! Oh, and I love yoga and am going to go twice a week for the next 7 weeks :) |
Good morning everyone! Rebound, I said it in the 30 something daily chat but I'll say it here too, you SO totally ROCK! great job!
Hydra: Great job on that loss, now keep up the good work, and post a pic of your goal necklace for us to see your handywork. Today is a take it easy on the calories day after my cheats yesterday. I brought my vegetable soup for lunch and some whole grain crackers for snacks. I have cardio on the sched for tonight and hopefully a whole weekend on plan ahead of me. |
Morning Everyone! Im excited to a drop in the scale this morning, down 1.6!!!! guess the 'no eating after 7pm" rule is helping me. Ive gotten in some good workouts this week as well...just gotta keep going.:)
Rebound-Congratulations! High fives on your accomplishments!!! Have a good day |
Good Morning Calorie Counters ! Congratulations misspriss on a grest loss, and you, too, rebound ,you are doing great, too.
|
Rebound & misspriss, sounds as if you are both doing great. I would love to get a greater than 1 lb loss this week.
However, I have been obsessing about food. I am wanting to get a new 3 in 1 multi-cooker and have been fantasizing about what all I could prepare. Not everything I am thinking about is healthy either. At least I don't have the cooker yet so I am safe for now. |
Thanks for the congrats, and MY congrats to all of you sticking to your programs -- whether you are currently losing or not!
Has anyone tried the new Buffalo Chicken sandwich at Subway? In general I like Subway and I LOOOOOVE buffalo sauce things, so I'm thinking about picking up a sub on my way home tomorrow for lunch... |
Hey everyone! I can't believe its October already!!! Uh this month is a really busy one for me, midterms for college, my daughters 9 months pictures, and of course Halloween! I have been Calorie counting for 2 weeks now and I've lost a total of 5lbs! For me Calorie counting is amazing because 1 its free and 2 i'm still nursing my daughter so I can do this safely
Goal by Halloween: To be under 220lbs I also want to do some form of exercise 5 times a week (be it a walk with my husband and daughter or a workout video... just something) Meet new friends on here And last but not least... remember to drink enough water! (Also to post 20 things so I can get a signature and put a fun little ticker down there hehe) |
So Saturday I wanted to go on a major binge. Instead of going to some fast food place or something else, I went to the grocery store and bought lots of different things. The good news of this all is that I got all "healthier" options that fit my cravings. I got lots of fruits, some whole grain options and only a few white sugar/flour things. I looked at nutritional labels and picked the best bang for my nutritional buck. I even got rice cakes to eat on my way home. Even with all that I stayed within my nutritional range and my high end of my calorie range. ....and now my kitchen is full of fresh fruits, veggie and small amount of other things. Today the cravings are gone and I'm still happy with the scale.

After a terrible weekend of whiskey I'm so back on track it isn't even funny. Okay, its a little bit funny. Stop laughing.
I'm off work starting wednesday for a whole week, yippee! very rarely do I get that much time off workn all at once, but I've been hording my personal leave hours for months in preperation. |
Good Morning, i saw that the thread was on the second page so i decided to give it a little bump;)
Its been raining here for days and the sun is suppose to shine today...i hope so. I really miss it... Im happy with my results so far...i started counting cals on sept,6 and today im down total of 11.4lbs. Exciting stuff:) i quit eating after 7 and it seems to be boosting my weightloss. I make sure my last meal is filled with protein and fiber, lol Mango-Enjoy your time off from work...i love whisky too and plan on having two shots tomorrow(hehehe) Babybluess-Congrats on going to grocery store instead of binging on fast food(which is my first choice also) nice going! BrittniMarie-congrats on the 5lbs loss! thats fantastic! I was counting the days until i could get a ticker, lol Rebound-Did you try the buffalo chicken sub yet? Sounds delish. I had some 'buffalo' stlye chicken for supper last week. Nothing fancy, just cooked some chicken in olive oil then splattered it with hot sauce...it served its purpose and got rid of the craving. Good. Hey to everyone i missed...must get breakfast started, the kids are starting to hover. Have a great weekend:) |
misspriss -- I loved the sub! I've had it twice (actually three times, now that I think about it...) since I posted about it here. I love pretty much ANYTHING with buffalo sauce and this is a nice sauce. It's got a good kick to it but isn't too crazy.
I like to soak chicken breast tenderloins in hot sauce and then pan-fry them with some Pam. Lots of surface area for the hot sauce to stick. I eat them with light ranch on the side and sweet potato. Yum! It'll be my go-to sandwich at Subway until they take it off their menu. But maybe if it's popular that will keep it on! |
Hey Guys!
Just dropping in to say...im getting married!!! My boyfriend of 6 years proposed to me on the weekend and we are getting married August 23, 2010. Soooo...what better motivation to look great in my dress and the reminder of my beautiful ring when I go to prepare my food/eat to remind me of my goal! I have been doing weight watchers (my old plan) for 2 weeks now and have lost 5 lbs...1 more pound than the 4 I gained from my lowest weight of 148! Yay. I think the WW plan works better for me because it "points" carbs so high, so I refrain from eating them that much better! And its easier to count with EVERYTHING that is going on! Soooo good luck and I will definatly check back! I decided that when I hit 143 I can try on my first wedding dress! YAY! -Saffytaffy |
