S/C/G: Lost 50 lbs, regained some

Height: 5'3"

The main thing is consistency and always listing everything that you eat. "You bite it, you write it."

It's OK to eat close to the BMR, you just don't want to go under it too far on average.

Remember, total daily calorie burn = BMR + activity level. From the total, you calculate your daily deficit target to lose weight.

Also keep in mind that these numbers are estimates, and you may have to adjust somewhat for your own use.

Sorry for the diversion, but I just have to say that I always love and appreciate your posts sacha! You're just so darn practical

I agree that 1/2 pound a week is nothing to get upset about. You are close to your goal and you are pretty much at a healthy weight for your height. This is the point where a lot of people plateau completely. You're actually doing quite well to be still losing, even slowly, at the point where you are.

I think you are doing fine -- you're just going to have to be patient and let the weight keep coming off slowly. We all wish that it could be faster, but sometimes we have to just work within the parameters of our body.
