Hi everyone. I'm changing my goal. I've had a summer of ups and downs. DS got married and that was a wonderful day. My dear mother passed away just last Monday very unexpectedly and I'm not fully recovered from that shock. And just to top off everything my old college roommate whom I've known most of my life and saw several times a year died of cancer and another close friend was just given a few weeks to live. My goal is now to just remain sane and try to get back to the weight at which I started this challenge. I'm afraid to get on the scales until I feel a little give in my waist bands. I'll try and check in now and then until Labor Day but I'm in the midst of getting back to normal.
Sorry for the gloomy post but that's my life as it is right now. Sunny days will return as we have a new DIL and a darling baby grandson to keep us all happy. |
Alright, I hope you get the 155 before your maintenance phase. You have been doing great with the weight loss so far! And just so you know, the last 10 lbs isn't hard for everyone, so you might be one of those who just blasts right through to goal. :hug:
Everybody else has to just get a :wave:. I just finished doing all the scooping and watering outside, and I'm already behind my preferred schedule for getting to the gym, so I need to change and hit the road! I will check in later today on one of my breaks. I've been sticking around 165 all week, so I'm pretty happy with that, and hoping to lose a little this coming week. :crossed: |

ive got to get back to the op weekends...i dont want this to be a pattern...time to regroup and refocus...so many people have commented on my weight loss..cant slow down now...have a great week all

David, I don't know what that is, but it sounds like Mexican food. (drool) Lori, you're doing great! Just keep on keepin' on, baby! :carrot: DG, congrats on the weight loss! I'm terrible about drinking water, except at the gym or the rink...at home, I pretty much live on tea, I confess! Jen, great job, and good luck with the 170! MrsL, you weren't kidding about tinyland! You are doing great! I always seem to have a good weight loss day when I've been doing yard work in the afternoon. I think just keeping myself moving for a few hours really helps with the fat burn, or something. Well, workout is done. It was aweful! 150 wall ball, which is a squat plus throwing a 14# medicine ball up to hit a 10 foot high target on the wall. I really, really hate those, so 150 was just bad. Took me 15:35 to finish, but I did it with the 14# ball, at least, instead of using a smaller one! My trainer's boy got to try out his strongman log today, that I made for him. He loved it, but was a bit overwhelmed, as all the grown-ups in the gym wanted to stand around watching him. He did better once they were all gone, and he and his dad both had their strongman logs out and did some overhead lifts...it was cute! I'd better get some work clothes on and get to it. Got a dog to groom and bathe today, then need to do the day's chores and such outside. Trying to catch up on all the house and yard work I've been neglecting. Seems like I can get the workouts done, or the house work, not both, lol. Trying to fix that now, before school starts! |

Workout is done. Working on the snatch lift today...fun and challenging! Actually got up on time for once, did my chores and got out the door on time. That felt good, so I'll try for a repeat performance tomorrow. Weight is up, probably from yesterday's workout, so NBD. Maybe I'll see a new number in a few days, when the water weight comes off. :) |
Hey everybody...just stopping by to say hello. Been with my mom after her double knee surgery yesterday. Slept at the hospital last night and will again tonight. Then will go home tomorrow evening so that I can get my 2 oldest kids off to college Thursday (DS) and Saturday (DD).
Very tired and VERY off plan. Eating has been not so good and exercise has been nil although I am taking the stairs whenever possible. I have not exercised since Friday morning except for a half hour on an ancient treadmill...didn't even have a cup holder for my bottle. No time for personals...don't even have time to check the pages of posts on all the threads I follow. I do hope EVERYBODY is doing great!!! Joci |

yesterday they had a health fair at work...they measured my body fat at 28%...they said that was good... huh?? he said they changed the guidelines...i dont know how accurate the device is but at least i have a starting number...any thought on bmi??

im back to 237...thats means ill probably be able to move the ticker this saturday...1 day off plan on the weekend is ok, but both days is too much...right now im just happy that i reeled myself in...hope everyone is doing well

David, :wave:. Good job, keeping it OP. Good luck with the scale this week. :crossed: I don't know what's going on with me. I've been POP with food and exercise this week, but the scale was going up, then today down a little from yesterday, but still high. I've been a little sick, so I guess it's holding weight for that? Weird! NBD, really, it's mostly just annoying. Workout was fun today: heavy push presses. I got 110 for 2 reps at the end. woot! Almost got the 3rd rep we were supposed to get, but didn't jump it up hard enough, so 105 lbs was my 3 rep max for today. Heavy lifting days are my favorite! Where's miss Lori? |
