Wow, Lori! You look awesome! :congrat:
WTG, MrsL, on hitting your challenge goal! woot! :celebrate: I've been hitting 166 for a couple days now. Hoping for a 165 something soon, but we'll see. Not sure I'm going to make that 160 for this challenge, but I'm trying! Did a birthday crossfit workout for one of the chickies on the 3FC weight lifting board today. :faint: Tomorrow at the gym, we've got a 2 person birthday workout, so I hope it doesn't kill me...no idea what's going to be the torture in that workout, but I always hope it will be deadlifts, since those are my favorite. Please don't let it be push press, wall ball, or tire jumps, that's all I've got to say, since I've done those two days in a row already, yesterday and today. Well, maybe it will help with moving the scale along! I'm going to get some sleep now. Got to get up early and hit the gym. Today I went and with 3 other peeps helped clean the gym. That's my new gig, in trade for training at my gym...sweet deal! The cleaning job was kinda fun, too. David, Alright, everybody else I missed,! Not trying to be exclusive, just tired! :tired: |
i was totally offplan the entire weekend....i didnt really binge, but i didnt help the cause any...im ready to get back to work now...im going to focus on the weekends because the weekdays take care of themselves.....i went to a bbq on sat and had a few beers, hadnt had beer in a while and it sure tasted good...went fishing on sunday...couple of more beers..the raiders first game is this thursday...looking forward to football season....hope everyone has a great week
|
DavidIt's okay to go off plan a little on the weekends as long as you jump right back on when it's over. Also, if you are good the week before, you won't feel as guilty. I didn't do so good over the weekend either. I had a cookout Saturday and drank alot and ate some stuff I shouldn't have and then yesterday I was TOTALLY off plan...but today (and last week)...I was/am totally on track. And will remain that way for the rest of the week. Good luck!!!

Hi yall! I am sorry I haven't been great about checking in. I was preparing my children's clothes and toys to sell in a consignment sale. That is always so much work ugh
I have been reading through and it looks like everyone is doing a fabulous job. We may not meet all of our goals, but we have made tons of progress and we all deserve a pat on the back for that! I just got out of the 190's and weighed in at 189 this morning. That puts me at a total of 80 pounds lost so far. The weight is coming off very slowly now, but that is my own fault for not staying completely on plan. I think it is safe to say I won't be meeting all of my goals this challenge either. I am hoping that I can at least get into a size 12. I was just at old navy and was able to squeeze into a pair of 12 jeans but I had a major muffin top. My bff tried to convince me to get them, but I just thought it was silly to buy them at full price since they didn't technically fit if all my fat was hanging over. |
jacque...i think were on the same page on this one...im not going to go to a party where everyones having beer and wine and ask for water with a little lemon...that works for some...if im that worried about staying on plan, ill stay home...besides its weird to be the only sober one when everyone else is drinking...plus it was anchor steam beer....plus they had live music...plus it was really fun...plus bbqd burgers rock!!!
|
SunK, what you said about the muffin top...I can't stand that for myself, either, so only buy down a size when it fits comfortably. You'll get there soon enough, it sounds like!
David, good luck with the weekends. Cheat days happen, and don't have to be a bad thing, because it does give a boost to your energy level and keep the fat burn going over the long haul. If you can get it down to once every ten days or 2 weeks, something like that, then that's one way to enjoy those kinds of special events, without blowing it for the whole month, and it can actually be a helpful part of your plan, no guilt needed. Another way to keep it guilt free is to up the exercise as you're able, and that will let you have a little more leeway with the food, while still having success with the fat burning/weight loss. You've been doing great lately, for sure! :carrot: DCH, welcome to the challenge! :welcome: Jacquee, I agree with what you said. We've got a party coming up for my gym's 5th anniversary, this Saturday. I won't be drinking, since I'm driving and will have my son with me, but I'm pretty sure there will be some off-plan food that day, since it's a catered deal. I'm just going to get in a good workout that day, and not worry about the food thing for a day. If there's chocolate, I'm eating it! ;) Well, the birthday workout had push presses and wallball, plus knees to elbows, which I did yesterday, but it wasn't near as bad as the workout I did yesterday, so it was actually okay. I'm pretty sore, but nothing is broken, so that's a good sign! :faint: Now, on to the housecleaning...VERY exciting! :lol3: I'm so behind on my housework, it's not even funny, so today I'm on a mission to get the hard floors mopped, and get the bedrooms vacuumed and all the cobwebs knocked down...it was getting downright skanky in here...too many workouts and too much computer time, not enough house cleaning, obviously! ETA: totally forgot to say, I got a new low today: 164.8! So, I am now OFFICIALLY by the 70 lbs lost mark! woot! |
jam. thats an indication that were doing well...noones trippin about one or two off days...im lookin forward to another good week after a great weekend(well maybe not dietwise)
|
was off plan and eating a little bit more while on vacation. I am back to my regular WOE and calorie cycling. Today is a low day, took in 800 cs and will stop eating at 7 pm. But I slept alot today too. On TOM and trying to recover from all the activity!

back at it...did very well last night...i figure ill stay off the scale til saturday...next challenge i think ill make an exercise goal...have a great day everyone!!

David, I think you're on the right track. You might be able to just do that all the time, like POP during the week, then weekends you can have a beer or a burger and let up a bit. As long as you're burning the fat like you want to, there's nothing wrong with that plan. You can always up the exercise, too, to give yourself a little more leeway with the intake cals.
Jen, hope you enjoyed the vacation! :beach: Workout is done. Heavy cleans today. I got 95# cleaned, only for one rep, but after a couple of failed attempts, I was happy to know I COULD do it at least once! In a few more months, I'll be the boss of that weight. 95# is usually the "prescribed" weight for women in the workouts at our gym. Right now I'm using 75# for the workouts, but I've got my eye on that 95# goal, so it's good to know it's not that far away. :crossed: |
