Default after dinner snack

So I had 325 calories left after I was done with dinner and all 3 kids were in bed. I was looking in the pantry thinking "What could I eat? Cheetos? A crap load of mini rice cakes? Maybe I should go buy a candy bar?"

Nope! I had a big bowl of strawberries with some fruit dip! I had to estimate the calories on teh fruit dip, but I'm sure it did not put me over! I feel really good that I made that choice. And they were so good. I may be buying a whole bunch more strawberries while they are on sale. I can't believe I forgot just how good mother nature can make things.

While I was at the store earlier I also bought a bunch of oranges and bananas and kiwis. YUM!

ETA: I feel this is an exceptional feat considering it is just about TOM and I had a particularly trying day with the kids. My 15 month old son has decided "tantrum throwing" is at the top of his to do list. Along with trying to get into the oven. His twin sister is his accomplice.

Next time you should turn it on. Okay, I know that's not kosher, but that's actually what my parents did when we all were trying to get in the oven.

Anyway, of course strawberries are delicious! All fruit is.

Congrats on the great choice. Let it be the first of many more to come.

I hear you on the toddlers. Mine is older now (4-1/2) but still a handful. Never had the problem with the oven because we have a wall oven, but we have a front-load washer & dryer that he has recently discovered to be a good hiding place (it's bad enough I have to check them for cats before using them, now I have to check for kids, lol).

Good luck! Wow, twins. You have a built-in workout every single day!

I agree with Mother Nature, etc...but man-Doritos and Cheetos can be SOO GOOD sometimes!
