I've been working on this goal already but id like to officially join the challenge...i go back to school september 14th (quarter system!) and id like to have lost 31lbs by then, ive lost 9 so far so ive got 22 more pound to go!! congrats on your progress so far everyone and keep on goin'!!

Great progress everyone! amynbebes we are in summer term right now, though of course I am only taking gym class.
I am down to 196.5 so I am happy, I was plateaued a little bit. Gym class has been going well, and I have been taking the stairs before and after class no matter how tired I am afterwards. I have also been trying to do something everyday that I dont have class that is active, its kind of hard because of the heat but I do at least a yoga tape. DH and I are going to go early this weekend hiking one morning with the dogs, probably will have to be about 5 am, which means I will have to feed the goats at 4:30ish, should be awful fun.....:dizzy: However the hike does sound nice, and during the summer here if you don't do it early in the morning or after 9pm you just don't do it. |

even though its not my "official" weigh in day i hopped on the scale this morning and... i am up like 2 lbs :(... i have really been OP with my calories and stepping up my workouts. my muscles are sore so im hoping they are retaining water? i am just going to stay OP, drink lots and lots of water and hope, hope, hope the scale goes back down or else i wont make my mini goal of 159 by july 4th (tomorrow). its a sad day for me...

I've been MIA a while. I just go really really busy and I can't go on this at work so I just haven't been checking in. I'm kind of stuck around 143. I'm still working out and staying mostly on plan. I must admit, I did give myself quite a bit of leeway foodwise over the fourth of july weekend. I'm buckling down the next couple of weeks so we'll see. I've stayed really good about my exercise though. I'm glad to see it looks like everyone is plugging along! |
hey all, sneaked a peak at the scale this morning before fridays WI, down another pound! 20lbs left to meet my school year goal on sept 14th, doable. woohoo.

I did the same, goodday...snuck on the scale. I'm down 10lbs, so I'm thinking -20 by August 24 is doable if I just stick to my current plan! We're doing so awesome, y'all!

Just checking in, hope everyone is doing good. I have class tonight and I am actually starting to look forward to it. I have been doing a minimum of 3 miles on the treadmill at class and sometime (at least 15) on either the bike or the stair stepper. Still walking the steps at the school, since my schedule is set now for next semester, and I know that one class is upstairs and one is down stairs, I know I will be tempted to use the elevator and I need to get out of that mentality. Been trying to keep active on weekends with DH, though its just to hot for hiking, so we are swimming instead.

official weigh in today, down to 157! 13lbs lost this month, i am so excited. 18 to go to meet my goal by the start of my school year which is 2 full months away. i can do this. we can all do this!!

More than half way there for the challenge. I'm down 11lbs-only 9 more to go! I was thinking of adjusting my goal weight to push me into onderland by August 24, but I don't want to set myself up for failure...

Way to go on all the losses ladies!
I won't be weighing in until Sept 7 (when the challenge will be done for myself). I've been having major scale issues lately and think it is time to focus on the non-scale victories, my eating, and exercising for a bit. The next couple of months are going to be stressful, and this will make it a bit easier for me! |
WormwoodDoll, i think i need to follow your lead. i have not been very good lately what with an unplanned "staycation" (my dbf's family came in and his sister cooked all kinds of fattening, delicious foods) and the stress of what the scale is going to say tomorow makes me want to throw up. although i cannot stop weighing in altogether since i am in the 20-somethings BL summer challenge, i think i will just focus on eating well and getting back to exercising, and not on the number on the scale.

Hello all. Hope everyone is doing well.
I am up to the halfway point on this goal as of today. Things have been going well otherwise, however at last Thursday's class I learned the importance of eating before I workout at night. I felt kind of light headed and dizzy so my instructor sent me to subway and then home. Just a valuable lesson learned. I am doing well on the stairs, and prepared for using them next semester instead of the elevator. We have been swimming everyday I don't have class to keep up on activity. Today I am having a bit of a bummer moment. There are no Gym classes that play into my schedule at all next semester. It is a great motivation to need to go to gym class for college credit but its just not possible. I am just going to have to come up with a plan at home. We have Wii Fit, we have a Treadmill and I have me exercise DVD's. |
I'm down 3 pounds from 2 weeks ago, from 184 to 181! Only 6 pounds away from my goal, which is 6 weeks away. Even at a rate of 1 pound a week I could still make it! *crosses fingers* How are all the rest of you doing?
