Default popcorn

on the box of microwave popcorn it says 3tbs unpopped 170 calories or 1 cup popped 40 calories and that there are 3 servings per bag. Does this mean that a full bag of popped popcorn is 120 calories? i know that's probably a dumb question but oh well.....who eats unpopped popcorn???? if you ate a whole bag of unpopped popcorn it would be 510 calories???? i'm so confused

I guess that means there would be 120 calories per bag, provided that one cup is one serving. How many cups are in the bag?

What I like better than bagged is popping plain popcorn kernals in this special microwave popcorn popper I have. It tastes SO much better! My favorite toppings are olive oil and salt or some "butter" spray with spelnda and cinnamon. It's also cheaper!

My favorite is just regular popcorn kernels cooked in a paper bag. I usually put about about 1 T of light smart balance in the bag w/ about 1.5 T of kernals and then microwave for about 3 min. I think it comes up to about 3 cups of popcorn and it's about 138 Cal.

I read somewhere else that the reason why it so much higher in calories unpopped is because most of the oil and stuff sticks to the side of the bag and not the popcorn. I always go with the "popped" count.

I just get the 100 calorie bags (100 calories popped, 110 'un'popped). They make my life easier, just like 100 calorie almonds. They're the only two "100 calorie" items I buy.

Air popped is light, fluffy and fat free (well nearly). I use 'fake' spray on butter and Mrs Dash for flavor - yum!!! I make enough on Sunday for a mini bag almost everyday
