I love sandwhiches personally. They're just so variable. I get low cal bread that's 40 (sometimes 45) calories a slice and add thin shaved deli meat or a grilled butterfly chicken breast, veggies, some fat free cheese and have a whole slew of little sauce containers to put on the side. I've had everything from turkey with buffallo sauce and sliced celery for a psuedo buffallo chicken sandwhich to grilled chicken with low fat provolone and tomoto sauce for psuedo italian. Some times I eat them cold and sometimes I heat them up but either way it's very tasty and nice and neat. Plus it just feels more substantial to me than a salad by itself.

4 slices turkey bacon = 140 calories
1 T light sour cream = 20 calories
lettuce and tomato = 30 calories (if that but I counted it as 30)

Total 390 calories

I LOVE, LOVE, LOVE sandwiches, HOWEVER, lately I am fine with a salad and some sort of protein. I have really cut out alot of carbs....that's a good thing. One thing a friend of mine turned me on to are Morning Star veggie burgers. I never imagined I would like a veggie anything...You can teach old dogs new tricks!!!

Today I had a nice veggie salad, and my protein shake for breakfast. I can do the salads for a while. I am not a sandwich person for some reason.. I feel like I am going to vomit looking at it. I try to stay away from bread, mostly bad carbs.. thats what hurts the most and of course my boyfriend wants bread with dinner every night.. I guess I am just changing my diet.. Its so hard to try to stay away from Sodium when everything has it.. I am going to try to stick with the calorie counting, high protein and fiber and stay away from bad carbs.. and go from there.. maybe my body needs a change.. I appreciate everyones input... There are many suggestions that I am going to use, that I didn't think of..
