ITA, gives a great starting point! For example, my BMR is 1527.90 and sedentary gives me 1833 and lightly active gives me 2100. I'm more lightly active than sedentary but it gives me a good range. To lose a pound a week, I need to shoot for a caloric intake somewhere between 1300ish (waaaay too low imo!) and 1600ish. My general calorie day is somewhere around 1500ish so I think that's fine. If I have a heavy day of exercise I bump it up a few hundred calories and eat closer to 1800.

Does that make sense?
