you know... reading other people's replies... i have realized that i won't give up ANYTHING!! cheese, choc, some good booze, junk food... i still eat it ALL! now i do it in moderation (blah blah blah, i know) but i still eat all the same foods i ate before. some very rarely because my tastes have changed a lot but if i'm REALLY wanting some white pasta with alfredo sauce or a donut or a pina colada i have it.
Beer and alcohol. My job always puts me in situations where I have to drink (even if it's a little). I do count all calories in alcohol and try to nurse my drink longer and mix it up with glass of water.
Gotta be chocolate. Whether it's Sugar Free Fat Free Jello Chocolate pudding (YUM!) or just getting to indulge in one bite of Chocolate Mousse Cake from Olive Garden (if you do that, that one slice lasts you a week!)
Cheese
Coffee
Sweets. I'm not a big sweets person actually but when I really want a cookie or some chocolate, I love knowing I can have a little, count the calories, and my craving is gone.

In certain sales situations (especially when dealing with Asian clients), yes. If I couldn't drink, I couldn't do my job. Unfortunately, a lot of business in Asia works this way still.
Pepsi! I tell my husband I would compare me and my Pepsi to him having a beer or old fashion.
Also I won't let go of my bread or dinner rolls, potatos, cheese (i live in WI - have you ever had cheese curds, mmmm), pizza, and chocolate.
But I do them all in moderation now. Somedays I go with out any of them but somedays I have one or maybe even two of them. All with in my calorie goals though.
I guess we're all on the same page: cheese, dark chocolate, and carbs. I'll add to the list that I won't give up wine, or the occasional shot of Irish cream (Carolans has fewer cals than Bailey's).

I swear, I haven't any idea how you can keep yourself in check with some of this stuff and eat it moderately. Hats off to you, if you can eat them on a regular basis and still lose weight.
I just could not. I couldn't. No way on earth. For me, and I guess I'm in the minority, it was soooo much easier just sayiing no all together. (I'm definitely up for easier ) I couldn't leave that door open even a tiny crack. Cause' once I did - the door would swing wide open and I'd be overeating and back to square one.
Maintenance for me has been another story, but losing, nuh-uh. Couldn't do it.

Yes I have, I LOVE THEM. Whne I lived in Alabama, a man I worked with would go to Wi to visit some family and he would bring cheese curds back. I would always have some club crackers at my desk when he returned.
rockin robin - I am only on week four of my lifestyle changes so I am guessing as I go I will eat less and less of these things. I also use to eat A LOT. I would drink 3 cans of Pepsi a day now I am down to 3 a week. With the way I use to eat I am surprised I didn't weigh more then my start weight. I also love exercising so I am doing at least 45 minutes a day 6 days a week. Sometimes I do a little over an hour.
i couldnt give up coffee. i drink way to much and would probably be so much healthier if i did. but i just lourve my coffee, just the instant type with skim milk

Me too! I don't drink it everyday like I use to (I could get down with some Pepsi, like 3-4 bottles). However, I still will drink an occasional Pepsi, like once a week. In fact, I have a one litter bottle in my fridge but I haven't opened it yet.
I also will not give up my coffee drinks. I get them with NF milk now and in the smallest size but I will not give them up nor will I give up chocolate or the occasional sweets. I won't eat them everyday but I'm not taking them completely out my diet.
