This is delicious and you get some fruit to boot.
Berry Fruit Sauce
12 ounce can frozen fruit juice concentrate*
1 can water
3 tablespoons cornstarch
16 ounce package frozen mixed berries, raspberries or blueberries
1. Dissolve cornstarch in 1/2 cup of the water.
2. Heat juice and remaining water in saucepan until boiling.
3. Add cornstarch mixture and stir over medium high heat until thickened.
4. Add frozen fruit, stir and remove from heat.
5. Use warm or cold as a spread or dessert topping.
Nutritional Information for 2 tablespoons: 50 calories, 0.1 g fat, 13 g carbohydrates, 0.2 g protein, 0 mg cholesterol, 4 mg calcium, 2 mg sodium.
I've made this using pineapple juice concentrate and mixed berries and it was delicious.
*Try some of these combinations:
-White Grape Peach juice with frozen or fresh peaches
-Pineapple juice with steamed apples
-White Grape Cranberry with fresh sliced strawberries
