Down one pound today which leaves me with only 9 of my 10 lbs to go! |
Hello everyone!
Didn't do the weight class last night as I just couldn't focus enough to be listening to a teacher, so I listened to my ipod instead and got on the bike-for about 45 minutes and then did some easy weights. Saw the scales move today, so my faith restored in that I CAN do this!! I live in China and there is no diet food, slim fast, and weight watchers has only just opened (but can't go because it's during work hours) so it can be hard..but I wanted to tell you about what my mother, boyfriend and I do, as we are all a little chubby... We all put money in a jar at the begining of the week, around $10 and the person that loses the most % of their weight at the end of the week gets to take some money out for a pampering (I get a massage) or a manicure, it could be anything, but it can't be for food! And then after four weeks, whoever has the biggest total gets all the cash thats left. Our very own biggest loser and support system. It works for us here, if you find it hard to get to meetings or motivated then you could try it-there's nothing like a little bit of healthy competition!! |
BBB, I hope you get a load out of there, soon. I don't want you to become one of those sad news stories, creepy truckdriver lady living in the Walmart parking lot, with a "will work for bonbons" cardboard sign. I'm shedding a tear just thinking about it! :lol3:
A  to all the new challengers! Amy and China, congrats on the weight loss today! :carrot: Thin, I read about your success with the smaller outfit for work. Meant to say WTG! Everybody else, I'm reading and cheering you on, but gotta get off here and get some frickin' sleep! You're all rockin' this challenge, though! :celebrate: Workout today was baseball with the boy. Not sure how long we played, but at least an hour, and with playing all the positions all by myself, it was a good workout! I liked it better when the boy couldn't really hit the ball. Now, I have to run a LOT. We had a fun time today doing that, and working on the dog mushing cart, getting it ready for Friday's run. Tonight, I did the crossfit warm-up two rounds, then tabatas alternating push-ups and knees to elbows (ab torture exercise). Catch you ladies tomorrow! |
I am back in the ZONE with my eating. It feels good. Now if I can just get my exercise back into the zone!!!
|
Tried a new dish last night on my hubby - colcannon, made with potatoes and kale -- and he loved it! Show that man a veggie and he will follow you anywhere.
Sticking with salads with grilled chicken for lunch, writing down every last morsel I put into my mouth -- it's the only way I can stay on track. You really tend to forget about those three pieces of dried pineapple you munched if you don't keep a journal. My daughter and her husband are training for a marathon, and I told her about my increased endurance on the cardio machines...she is so supportive, even though my little victories are nothing for her and her hubby. She told me how to try to keep myself going, positive self talk that I can finish, don't give up, etc. |
Holy Moly!! What a busy little thread we have here!! :dizzy:
Well I guess I will just make it easy and say  to everyone! And keep up the good work!! :carrot: I made it to the Y on Tuesday and did my LB lifting!! I got new sneakers!!! :carrot: :carrot: Finallly!! Yesterday I cleaned the house and got caught up on laundry and today its snowing! So I am going to have to do a video at home or something!! :) Have a great Thursday ladies!! :dancer: |
Down a pound today....super excited!!! I'm on track today. I plan on staying on track EVERY DAY....except for tomorrow night. I will stay OP all day but come that night it will just be too difficult for me to bring my own food to the parade route knowing that I'm gonna be crazy behind time not getting off work till five. But at least I'm planning to get off track. LOL. Including the bud light I plan on drinking!!!!!
|
I'm going to say.... 10 lbs! I'd like to loose 10 lbs by Easter, that'd leave me with 5 lbs to go before May 21st.
ALSO! I want to make sure to keep doing my yoga at least 5 days a week, so far so good as I just started this week hehe |
Thin, I usually find that some good music keeps me going on the cardio, if I'm in "going all out" mode. If I just want a long, easier session, then I will use an audio book..I get listening to the story and forget about the time, so it's good for something like walking or easy jogging. Can't do the audio books for weight lifting or intense workouts, since it's too distracting. Might work well for the elliptical, though. We get them from the library, and they even have some now that are mp3 type, and come with their own little player, so very portable!
Angel, what shoes did you get? I'm just curious, as usual! WTG on the lifting! Are you using mostly machines with the cables and rectangular plates, or free weights, or what? We need a workout report that's a little more detailed, in case we want to steal some of your routine! DG, glad you've got the eating on track. I know you can get your exercise back on track. You can report in here if it will help! Nicki, have fun at the parade! Planning is always good, even if it's planning to go off plan. :) Megan, welcome to the challenge! I think your goals are great. ONEderland, here she comes! |
So yesterday was another struggle. I have such a hard time at night resisting the urge to binge. It's like I have to fill up all the time before bed with something or I feel antsy, so I eat. A lot. But I still haven't gained from initial v-day weight gain, back to 197 from 192. :(
But! Today I am on plan and determined. I went to sign up for my summer and fall classes at college, signed up for a dance PE class that I'm excited about, and found out I'll be getting my Associates degree a semester early and be able to transfer to Georgia State next fall to work on my bachelors, so its a motivated kind of day for me. I want to succeed. I'm having a real hard time getting motivated to work out though. For awhile I was getting in a good mile a day at least but lately i just feel sluggish and lazy. I guess there's no magic cure for that, huh? Anyway, on plan so far today. Is 350 a good calorie amount for breakfast? That's what I'm averaging. About to go make a big green salad for lunch. Good luck everybody. |
