  • I LOVE the Lean Cuisine panini's and sandwhiches. The chicken philly, chicken club ranch, muchroom with steak and chedda, etc.etc. are all SOOOO good! The sandwhich is filling on it's own, but since I like to dip I ue a T of light ranch and hav an apple with some peanut butter on the side or some baby carrots. They are my FAVORITE! :0) I also like the WW lasagna, raviolis, chicken suiza and rice and beans. I usually have one for lunch. Yumm!
  • I eat a frozen dinner every day fro my lunch at work since it's quick and Easy I have found the following ones, lean cuisines( really good), eating right frozen dinners these are only available at Safeway- they are great though and you can usually get like 5 fro $10.00 very low in cals!, smart ones ( by weight watchers) - they are delish! , healthy choice they tend to be a little higher in cals though... also hot pockets make a low calorie option some times I'll eat one of those for lunch too.

Make sure you are not only eating frozen meals though it's a good base but you need to pack some fresh fruit a long with it to eat and I'd only eat that for one meal a day

breakfast can be simple a piece of 45 calorie toast with some laughing cow cheese(a must for any low cal dieter), or turkey bacon with some egg beaters, a 100 calorie thomas english muffin with peanut butter, I get 100 calorie sugar free packs of instant oatmeal (safeway brand) and add half a cup in skim milk and a packet of splenda, Kashi Makes some great strawberry waffles and they are only 160 calories for two of them! get some low cal syrup made by vermont, and it's a great breakfast..

I also keep little containers of no sugar added apple sauce, no sugar added mandarin oranges and peaches, etc..

those little snack packs they make for kids are great for snacks the ones with apples and peanut butter, or grapes and cheese, celerly and carrots with ranch... etc.. and it's convient and portioned out already.

Also A recent find of mine has been brothers all natural fruit chips- they are freeze dried fruit but kinda crunchy like chips but they taste really tart and sweet. they are only 45 cals.. I tihnk you can only get them at costco-

Dinner should be a well balanced meal bake some chicken i n the oven season it how ever you like, some veggies, some fresh fruit.. i suggest to avoid adding fat and oil to keep some pam cooking spray instead of using real oil it's zero cals!

if you like butter I'd get I cant believe it's not butter spray it's also 0 cals. if you need the creamyness of butter like I do I use brummel and brown margerine yogurt and it's only 45 cals for 2 tablesppoons!

I would also recommend you up your cals too 1000 is extremely low- I myself just 3 weeks ago when I started this diet thought I'd only do 1000-1200 and realized the error of my way as well- it's not healthy! even though you feel full aim for 1400-1500 that's what I'm doing now..

    good luck chica!
  • yes 1000 calories per day is too little. As soon as you go back to eating normal, or even 1600-2000 calories per day, your metabolism will be so shot that you will gain weight on even a low calorie diet.
  • I guess when I made this post, I was only thinking about my main meals. LOL! Sorry ladies! I do not go the entire day on just frozen meals. My fault :P I do snack on fresh veggies such as carrots, celery, tomatoes, etc etc. Puddin' and fruit cups are also something I love. And I also TRY to eat a salad a day because I am anemic and I NEED MY GREENS! I really just wanted to know what frozen foods were good and what wasn't worth the money.

I will definitely start cooking my own meals soon... just not right now. I dont have kids or anyone else to cook for so I'm pretty OKAY with that right now. I've also discovered that Campbell's Chunky (healthy request) is pretty low in calories too in case anyone was on the curious boat like me.
  • Listen Glamour, I lost all my weight eating Lean Cuisine, supplemented with fresh foods. I call it the Poor Chick's Jenny Craig. So don't feel like you have to drop everything and start cooking. If I had had to do that when I began weight loss, I'd still be there. You have to come up with a plan that will work for you and allow you to lose weight.

    Go girl!

  • ooohh today I found low cal frozen waffles and pancakes! they are the multigrain ones by ego only 180 cals for two! and Kashi makes flax strawberry waffles that are only 160 cals for 2- get some light or sugar free syrup easy quick breakfast! and with some fresh fruit or a yogurt! and the pancakes are made by mrs butterworth and they are only 230 cals for 3 pancakes! also found Jimmy dean Dilight breakfast sandwhich they are 260 cals.

and also for breakfast I do instant oatmal by quaker oat only 120 cals. special k cereal with skim fat free milk, thomas light wheat english muffins with laughing cow cheese.

progressO also make low cal soups i go for the low sodium light ones because sodium makes you gain weight so watch that too.
  • I like the Weight Watchers rice and beans, I forget what name they call it but it's basically....rice and beans. I know it sounds boring but it's actually pretty good! I usually have that with frozen green beans or salad. I also like the enchilladas suiza especially with fresh salsa and avocado slices on it!
  • Mmm I had a Lean Cuisine Four Cheese Cannelloni, and boy was it good.
  • I don't totally eat frozen dinners but most days for lunch at work I do... I try to eat something else small for dinner.... My two FAVS:

Smart one's: three cheese ziti and broccili, chicken rotini that has a nice cream sauce.
