Anyone know what the mickey d's value fry is? Medium? Small? in between? I dont see it on their site ive been going with medium but want to make sure im right..
Im shocked at how many calories the Grilled chicken plain has. I eat there once a week with a friend. Im thinking im gonna start bringing my own sandwich or just eating fries and yogurt... I have a weakness for their fries.. lol
I believe the fries in the Value Meals are mediums.
You may have been joking, but I would suggest against having a meal of fries and yogurt. Fries are totally empty calories. They're ok as a treat I guess, once in a while, but I wouldn't make a meal out of them.
lol I think that every once in awhile I might just have to do it. Probably every other week because we go there to let the kids play and have lunch. So im thinking every other week I will have fries and yogurt and the other 2 bring my own stuff. I promise to make up for it for breakfast and dinner
No the fries im talking about are the dollar menu fries i think they are mediums but wanted to make sure so I can accurately count.
Dollar menu fries are small fries....at least the ones by me are. Under the dollar menu, it specifically says "Small Fries". And they're the same size fries that the kids get in the happy meals.
The above posters are correct, Value Menu fries are in the paper wrapper and are a small, Value Meal fries are in the red carton and are medium.
McD does not use any type of beef extract in their fry batter anymore.
The grilled chicken at McD is 370 without mayo, not as high as some other grilled chicken. 240 calories of that is the bread - the chicken itself is only 120.
I typically get the grilled chicken without the mayo and then get the snack sized fruit and walnut salad when I go to McD, or sometimes the fish no tartar or cheese instead, it is only 270 calories but higher in fat.
I keep McD nutritional value sheet in my car. i find myself there all the time w/ a 3 yr old & a husband. I usually get apple dippers, hold the caramel dip, they're only 35 cals & super yummy. If I want a treat and I can afford the empty calories, I get a 4 piece chicken nugget, they have around 180 cals I believe, if memory is working right now. I LOVE McD's but I have found since I've been on this diet, I can't justify eating there much. Everything is super high in calories & I'm always hungry an hour or two later. Even the grilled chicken sandwich, I can't see 350+ calories for a single sandwich, it seems like such a waste!
Yeah Im rethinking what I eat there. I do love the fruit and yogurt, and I like the grilled chicken but that seems like alot of calories for one sandwich but it does fil me up a litlte better than anything else on their menu. I tink ill do a trade off every other week and have fries and bring something from home.
I feel the same. I just can't justify it other than on rare occasion. On a more nutritious and filling side, Subway Oven Roasted Chicken Breast SALAD is 140 calories. In order to stay to this, don't get the cheese and choose vinegar only for your dressing.
I have a thing for fries myself. I oven frying my own and I love them. Now fast food fries just tasted oily. Even my 11 yo son loves the ones we make at home.
On the rare occasions I find myself at McDs, I order the grilled chicken SW salad (Taking off the tortilla chips and no dressing) or the grilled chicken sandwich, no mayo, and eat it open-faced, taking off one of the pieces of bread w/ an order of apple dippers...no caramel sauce.
