Default TOM question

About a week before my TOM comes I am starving for about two days. (I mean like I have been on a hunger strike for 3 years hungry)Does anyone else have this problem? How do you deal with it? I did go over my calories today. Not by much but a little. I feel like I let myself down.GUILT!!!!

I have that problem all the time. For about a week before TOM arrives, if I see prepared (or even unprepared) food, my mind says, "put that in my belleh."

Actually, my struggle is to get to EAT enough calories, I eat ~1000 calories naturally, but then I'm going on a 4 mile run every day, so it's a little easier to get to my calorie goal when TOM's coming.

But, I've always done things the weird way, take this with a grain of salt.

Your body actually burns more the week before your period. I believe it's in the 300-500 calories per day range. I've seen both numbers sited.

I just recently heard this myself. Has to do with a rise in metabolism.....Sure explains those 2-3 days of munchies I always get.

Thats so funny, that same exact thing was happening to me last week. I was going crazy trying to figure out why nothing I ate satisfied me. Now I know.

And now I'm experiencing the other horrible part of TOM - the weight gain. I ate a lot this weekend because I went to my bf's place and he eats out for every meal.. but I'm up 4.5 lbs from last week. That'll make you feel good about yourself (ugh)

I had actually gone to the kitchen to get a Twinkie & was eating it as I read this. When I saw the word Twinkie in your post, I dropped my hand with the Twinkie in it below the computer screen as if you could see me. I had to LOL at myself. I just cannot get full when it is that TOM. It's embarrassing.
