Smile 1 week challenge??? Buddies???

Okay so since I moved 3 months ago I havn't dieted. Two weeks ago I decided I'm going to concentrate on making sure I get in some kind of exercise (walking, turbo jam).
In 1 week I finally start my new job and that will help with stress and buying some healthy food.

Until then I bought a few cheap things (Big Lots) and decided I'm going to do a one week calorie counting challenge. My goal is to stick to 1200 cal. a day starting tomorrow Tuesday until Moday.

I already have my basic menu ready for tomorrow. Including lots of water.

BF: Banana Oatmeal
L: Split Pea Soup
D: Boca Patti w/grilled onions
I'll also have a couple low cal snacks and check in tomorrow.

I'm really hoping a few of you will want to join in!!! I need all the help and motivation I can get. Thanks

I've not been shifting any weight lately, so I'm in! I'll stick to your 1200 calories, though I probably won't eat the same amount every day. (some days 1000 some 1400)

On the menu today:

L cottage cheese w crackers and tomato, salad w herring
d honestly don't know yet

Is there going to be exercise involved?

Default I'm in.

I keep saying I'm going to get started, I'm going to get started. Maybe this will finally get me off the fence.

Here's what I'm planning for today.

Cheerios/2% (need to get to the store and get back on skim)
Progresso Italian Style Wedding soup, salad
Baked Honey Mustard Chicken, green beans
Honey Maid Graham crackers/2%

Im in...I did HORRIBLE yesterday.I usually have no issues sticking to my diet. But I blew it big time yesterday and feel awful and bloated today.
I am planning a big meal on sunday so will have to cycle my calories the last few days of the week to allow for my meal sunday. I eat 1500-1800 per day. I think today will be 1500 and then 1800 on wed and then 1500 the rest of the week.
NOt sure yet what my breakfast will be today..maybe a yogurt smoothie with lots of fruit. Lunch will be a stir fry with shrimp. Dinner will be baked porkchop and a salad. Snacks will be a string cheese and/or a few grapes.
I will exercise my 20 min today

Yay I'm glad you all want to join! Thank you!!
So far I've had my oatmeal, I want to drink a bottle of water at least with every main meal, so I should go grab it!

QUILLIE: I've heard shifting calories works well for a lot of 3FC chicks. I'm going to do exercise for at least 20 minutes a day at least 6 of the 7 days. Hopefully more than 20 minutes but we'll see.

AUERJ: I know what you mean! EVen though I think about my weight constanty sometimes it's so difficult to really stick it out. So I'm hoping this small timeframe (7 days) will help me stick to it. Your meals look good

DGRAMIE: Wipe yesterdays mess off the board We're starting with a clean slate, today through Monday, and that's great you are planning your days around Sunday... that's always helped me in the past.

I am in too! I used to post lots, lost enthusiasm over the summer and stopped counting (and I know its the only thing that works for me). So I will try to spend the remainder counting calories just to be accountable. I am camping this weekend so I will have to record on paper (gasp!) and figure those later. Since I am celiac (no wheat/gluten) its hard to binge camping anymore.

My calories will be around 1700 at this point, I do lots, am a big person and just want to track! Hopefully I can see some progress I have been stuck a LONG time at this weight.

My exercise and water are starting to come around since I put a tally mark sheet next to my computer for tracking and joined a martial arts club (kung fu Bruce Lee style) that also offers kettle bell exercise classes. I slacked over the summer a bit with the extra classes but school is almost back (I work at one) and so back to our regular schedule.

Good luck all and I want this to motivate me to count calories again!

Whew, I'm in I need something more specific to focus on this week so I stop getting off track.

I usually aim for 1400.

Today, so far:
Breakfast - Oatmeal and blueberries
Snack - apple
Lunch - brown rice, pepperjack cheese, black beans
Snack - blueberries, strawberries, and banana
Dinner: Probably "fried" brown rice with onions, yellow peppers, green peppers, and anything else I find in my fridge to toss in.

I really need to exercise too Thats my weakest point.

Checking in! Yesterday I did fine, I didn't have one calorie too much. The plan for today:

B fruit
L salad with pickled herring
D tuna steak with peppers
S maybe some nuts, they are in the house, they will be eaten, maybe some by me?

I'm trying to eat as much protein as possible, hence the fish overload. (I have fish twice a day) I'll also add 20 minutes of exercise every day, though I hate it with a passion.

Hope all you chicks are doing well! Flabby, your dinner sounds delish!

Food wis it is going great, didn't eat the nuts, did eat some watermelon. Today's plan:
B lemon juice
L salad with herring
D turkey with tomato
S vegetable soup

Hi Everyone!
Hope everyone is doing well. I'm hanging in there, but I just realized I'm going to Chicago this weekend! I can't believe it's here already! It's kind of making me lose my motivation a little, knowing that we are going to be eating like crazy when we get there, BUT we will be doing a whole lot of walking too, so helpfully it will even out.
The odds seem to be stacking against me as TOM is early this month as well, and I am just down right craving some comfort food!
Anyways, hangin in there as long as I can.

B/small breakfast burrito
L/BLT (heavy on the L&T, light on the B), baked Lays
D/pork chop, salad
S/maybe some veggies if anything

*Jill* what is your new job? Are you looking forward to it? And still boredom everywhere? I always eat when I'm bored, it's unstoppable.

Followed the plan yesterday, only added some extra veg in the evening.
today:
B lemon juice
L lettuce, tomato and pickled herring
D homemade vegetable soup, egg and broccoli.

Maybe some yogurt as a snack.

Good luck all, I've lost two pounds on this challenge already!
