For me it was about 30-40 pounds before anyone said anything. Not sure if they noticed or not before that - but at my high weight, 30 pounds wasn't that much LOL!

I told just about everyone that I was losing weight. I am surrounded by supportive people, so they started complimenting me immediately. I don't know how much I believe them, though! I'm a SAHM now, so most people I see are friends. It's not like when I was working and I saw lots of acquaintances frequently. So, the friends are in the know and more likely to compliment or try to notice.

One friend who I see weekly just noted how my outfits can make a difference. Most times, when I see him, I tend to wear blousy, wild-patterened, "hippie" shirts. This last week, I happened to wear a striped, button-down shirt. He said he really noticed the weight loss in that shirt. I was down 25 pounds by then. But, another male friend whom I hadn't seen since I started my weight loss and probably hadn't heard about it, saw me the other day for a good 20 minutes and never breathed a word!

It's kinda like watching your kids grow up. Everyone else comments on how much they've grown and you don't see it too much because you're there for every fraction of an inch.

People noticed now with me and I have only lost about 14lbs BUT I work out and walk up six flights of steps five days a week. I know when I take pics now I can see a difference. My cloths fit really different now and I didnt lose much weight yet but sometime you lose inches and thats just as good as lbs!

I'm curious to see when people start to notice with me. I haven't lost much, if any yet, but when it starts coming off, we'll see if anyone can tell. I really think, unless they know you well, most people are too afraid of offending you to say anything. Its like admitting that you've lost weight means they subtly are agreeing that you had weight to lose in the first place ... make sense?

People started to notice after the first 15 lbs for me. However, it took 40 lbs gone before I only just started to recently notice it a bit in myself.

For me it was about 230 when folks started to say something. Now, there is a dramatic change and many folks comment.

It's funny...folks will say..."You look wonderful....not, that you didn't look good before." Sometimes - people don't know what to say. I always say...that I realize that they are complementing my efforts as well.

When I was at 220, and I when I lost 10lbs quite rapidly, no one noticed until the 10lbs, and suddenly everyone was giving me compliments. They didn't necessarily notice that I had lost weight though; people just said "Wow, you're looking really good!" It was so rewarding.

I've lost almost 40 pounds and I'm down from size 22 to 18 and no one has said anything yet!

about 20lbs for me. But when I had lost about 35lbs and we had a party and a lot of people that had not seen me in a while (mostly men my husband works with) noticed and said that I was looking great (which I was ) . It will be interesting this go around ( I have gained back about 28lbs). I think people notice but don't want to say anything for fear they will hurt your feelings, when in fact most of the time it does just the opposite!
