I'm only down 1/2 pound this week, from 174.5 to 174.

:stars: Ohhhhh. This has been the worst week- the flu! My 'hit by a Mack truck' feeling probably wasn't due to my killer workouts but to some killer germs.
And Ti'an! I was a hero for a week and not even here! Thanks! Now my 4 year old has it. Blech. I'll be back later to spread the love and kudos- just wanted to drop in and explain my absence. |
fatbaby, I understand your pain. I had the horrible flu last month and it was terrible. Hope you are feeling better now!
I am happy to report I am fully back on track after struggling for over a month. Down 5 lbs from last Monday (my first day back on plan) but still 6 lbs higher then my lowest weight. |

Switzie, I know what you went through after your vacation. After Easter I went through the same thing! I don't know what happened. I was good for sooo long even with lots of stresses getting in my way, but I hung in there. After Easter, I kinda went crazy! :crazy: And kept having a hard time getting back to my former "perfect" self. I've been MIA from here and it shows..I've been eating like crap and not exercising...last week I did okay with the working out, not so much with the food. For some reason, I can't get on track again. I'm really thinking it's the weather, damp, cold, & rainy, not like spring here at all yet. I'm afraid to get on the scale cuz I know I'm above what I have on the ticker...auuughhhh. Ok...I'm fine now...just needed to vent. I'm grocery shopping on my way home from work and will be prepared....I'm ready ...AGAIN!!!! thanks for listening... Diana |

Group party for all the big losers this week, because I'm way too brainfried to go through all the posts I missed, :celebrate: :carrot: :celebrate: Thanks to all of you for the support, re the weight training and scale obsession. :hug: :D I've done a lot of reading the last few days, and decided to give myself 2 full days between weight training sessions, and see how that works for me....that will give me a full 71-ish hours of recovery time, which might do the trick. |
Well, I didn't quite make my April 1st goal, but losing 9 pounds was better than not losing any at all! I guess I am just losing slower than I thought I would. So, I am going to go easy on myself and aim for 295 by Mother's Day. I am 304.8, which means just barely under 10 lbs. I have been averaging about 7 a month, so that should work out. I am going to be changing some things up a little, we'll see if that further stalls my weight loss or helps, hopefully the latter. Anyway, put me down for 10! I weigh in Friday, I'll be back to let everyone know how it's going!

Hey guys(or should I say girls? :p ), I'm just here to report another lb gone. Which puts me in the 170's :cb:
The whole 170's thing means a lot to me, because.. when I reach the lower end of the 170's, I'll be at the same weight I was from the last time I went to the doctor. (Many years ago!) I was 10 years old, 5'2" and 171 lbs. I went to the doctor because I had a severe chest cold, but instead of talking about that, he lectured me for a half hour about how I was too fat! Now that I'm older and many inches taller, I'll be ecstatic to be at that weight again. :) Mother's Day Goal : 5/10 lbs lost, 5 to go Also, Great job / Good luck to everyone! (I only wish I had the patience to congratulate everyone personally... So I'll steal Cheryl's idea for a group party :carrot::cb::broc: lol) |

Layri: I so know the feeling you are talking about. I weighed 150-160 til grade 10 and was 5ft then 170-175 grade 11 and 12. I ws 180 before I graduated. I went to the doctor when I was 17 about my weight and he said my weight problem wasn't worth a drs appointment and get off my lazy butt and exercise....I haven't gone back to him since that I dropped him as a dr and if possible got a worse one :S. right now I am one lb from where I was when I met my husband :) I can't wait until the 160's!!!! |

I can't seem to get my excitement mojo back after being sick. I'm still going through all the motions, eating all the right things- but I don't care. Does that even make sense? This is so much more fun and motivating when I care. I probably don't have energy to care. I still need to get better. March was pretty successful with 15.2 pounds down. I'm hoping to do well in April too. |
Blue, welcome back! I know you're going to make the 2's on this challenge! I might be adjusting my plan also, to kick things back into gear. I refuse to stall out at 208, even with the weight training, dangit!
Layri, congrats on reaching the 170s! :celebrate: I remember being in high school, I was maybe 5'5" and 145 lbs, and the gym coach going on and on about how fat I was, which with all the other kids standing around listening, did not motivate me to get in shape. Now, of course, I'd kill to be that "fat", lol. You'll get it back, FB! It's hard to be excited when you're just worn out. :hug: |
Can I join in? I would love to finally set a goal and stick with it! We have, what, 5 weeks left? I will go for 10lbs by then, but hoping for more (don't wanna aim too high and get discouraged), I just started walking, started Slim in 6, and counting calories. We shall see how this works!

I know I'm a little late in the game, but from now until mother's day I hope to eat no more than 1700 calories at least five days a week, and no more than 2200 calories the other two days. I think this shouldn't be too hard but.. baby steps, right?
I'm also going to work out AT LEAST three days a week. No exceptions! |
