Default weight loss rewards???

besides the obviosu reward of being smaller do any of you have incentives to lose weight. Like some sort of big reward in the end.

My big weight loss reward is a trip. I get to pick a place (within our price range) to go with my husband and my son as my big reward. At first I was thinking cali or NYC (I am from canada and haven't been to either place) but now I am thinking maybe I will save longer and go somewhere like spain or italy I have to think about safe places for my small son to be or I would choose some place tropical :P

also I get a new wardrobe!!!!

Shopping is defonitioly a big one for me, much to my husbands dismay lol. but a big one also is to see the look on my family's faces when i'm not the fat sister anymore!

I am going to have to buy all new cloths and that will be a reward as well as that I will need to do. I will buy myself a read vespa scooter for my "big" reward. Plus I'm having a 100 pound party that I'm throwing for me and my friends! Those three things are my major rewards but I reward myself all the time just for the little things. They all don't involve buying stuff.

Like my reward for 225 pound mark will be wearing a shirt that I really like that I bought two years ago but never could fit and wearing it in public. Little stuff like that keeps everything playful. I like to buy books and magazines as little rewards.

If I can manage to get myself to a respectable weight, I would very much like to get myself a Motorcycle again. at this weight, I refuse to end up on someone's cell phone camera and passed around lol and that is honestly why I do not have a motorcycle currently.

As ever

PS: don't tell wify about the bike

Some of my rewards are very simple like buying a few gossip and beauty magazines or new flavors of herbal teas. Some are bigger like getting a massage and trying out new hair and makeup looks. The new wardrobe is a need and a want, but that will be closer to my final goal.

Last time I lost a lot I rewarded myself with shopping for lots of cute clothes. When I get back to my goal weight, I will probably do the exact same thing, lol. Or a nice trip to the ocean and actually run around there in the daylight (last time I only swam at night!), which would involve shopping for a cute new swimsuit of course. ^_^

If I hit small goals I get myself a DVD or book or something.

Good idea. I have so many boxes of clothes right now that I've either never worn or haven't worn in quite some time because they either don't fit at all or they aren't flattering at my current weight.

You know, I haven't really thought about rewards. I think it is a great idea to reward ourselves as we get to small goals. I will have to consider this one.

I'm going to go see my parents. I haven't seen them in about two years, so I figure what better time to see them than right after I lose a bunch of weight? :P

As for rewards for small goals, I haven't really thought about it. Probably a new book, or something for the house that I wasn't planning on getting, or stuff like that.

My daughter is in the NAVY (Go Navy!) and she is hoping for Rota, Spain as her next duty station. That will be sometime in November and my reward will be to give myself a trip to visit her for at least 2 weeks! She is overseas right now and calls me each week to cheer me on in my weight loss and exercise. She is a Navy police officer and has to keep herself in shape. She jogs 7 miles a day and then calls me up and says "what kind of exercise did you do today!" Brat! LOL.

When I first started losing weight, I asked my husband if he would give me rewards for mini goals. He said sure. I don't think he actually thought I would ever hit those goals. I asked for:

first 50 lbs - digital camera
100 lbs - MP3 player
150 lbs - laptop
goal - trip to Europe

I got the digital camera and MP3 player. I had a new laptop through work, so I didn't want a new laptop then after all. I'm kind of thinking of getting a tummy tuck instead of a trip to Europe though.

I consider a new wardrobe as essential and not a reward, I do give myself a gift for each 10 pound loss, not food or clothes but it could be a new perfume, new earrings, something decorative for the house such as a new houseplant or fresh flowers, scented candles are another thought.I try to think what I would buy as a gift for a friend.Could be a new CD or a movie ( in a theater and not on TV!)

I've been rewarding myself with new workout clothes. Everything I used to work out in is shapeless and boring (guys sweats and tees). It *almost* makes me want to go to the gym every day!
