Good morning everyone! I've been doing pretty good so far this week. I had my cheat day on Sunday. I still counted all calories but I didn't really care if I went over. We'll see if I have lost any weight when I do my weigh in Sunday morning to see whether or not I continue to have cheat days! :D
Tinky ~ I really have to keep an eye on sodium as well. Also I'm really trying hard to make sure I get the proper amounts of protein as well...definitely have to improve that. TOM will be coming up next week for me so I really want to make some progress before then so I don't get too discouraged when things kind of stall for a week or so. I think I'll be ok keeping with the plan though because I haven't had very much trouble keeping within my calorie limits. Hope everyone has a wonderful day! :) |
Yall I'm So Stressed Out. I Cant Stop Eating Lol. There Is Something Wrong With Me I Think Lmao. I Am So Bored. That I Just Eat And Eat And Eat. "that Time Of The Month" Is Coming So Thats Another Reason Why I'm Eating So Much. What Can I Do To Help Me Not Eat As Much When I Get Bored?

I've been MIA for a week or two. Between the business and starting up homeschooling again for the year, I've been up to my ears being busy so not much time to post or even lurk. I keep saying that it'll start calming down again, everyone will get into their routines but the chaos just continues. :dizzy:
My weight is still in a holding pattern due to, I'm sure, not eating nearly as clean as I should/could like I was and not getting regular exercise the past two weeks. Now I need to get my nose back to the grindstone and quit with the excuses so I can break 200 this month! Friday's stats: Total: 1341 Fat: 79g, 56% Carbs: 115g, 26% Protein: 59g, 19% Fiber: 34g Wowzers on the fat today, huh? Sheesh. I didn't even realize until I copied it here. Dang, those 3 tablespoons of oils in my stir fry tonight did me in. |
Echo, echo, echo...
Had stir fry again tonight but cut my oils down so it looks better. Saturday's stats: Total: 1493 Fat: 43g, 27% Carbs: 235g, 51% Protein: 76g, 22% Fiber: 53g |
I have not checked in for a LONG time!!
Eating wise everything is great and I am at my lowest weight since almost two years ago. It feels really good and everything seems to be going great :) I wish I had more to say but theres nothing really! I do need to start posting here again though! |
The end of July / entire month of August / beginning of September have been pretty much devoted to sabotaging my diet. I never thought I'd make it through getting a new job, and my daughter starting kindergarten - so I ate a lot to try and keep away the stress.
Now, everything has settled in fine except for my weight and all the wonderful eating changes I had made. Back on low cals and posting here regularly for motivation and ideas. I hope everyone manages to keep up the good work and reach their goals. :) |
week totals:
calories 1377 fat 48g 33% carbs: 158g 42% protein 74g 22% fiber 19g Well I survived the busy week. This week doesn't look much better, but I guess if I'm busy than I'm not snacking endlessly. I was brave tonight and attempted to make lentils...well, they were alright, my DD made the funniest face followed by I don't like it. I would like to try them again, does anyone have a good recipe that they would recommend. My DH is a veggie hater so it tends to be diffucult to make something that the whole family enjoys. Have a great week:carrot: Bridgette. :flow1::flow1::flow1: |
Bridgette, I LOVE my lentil roast. It is so nummy, I could over-indulge but its healthy with a bunch of Superfoods packed in.
my kids won't eat it though, but they are still in the major picky stage and I'm working through it still. LOL Lentil roast 2 cups cooked lentils (simmer 1 cup raw lentls in 3-4 cups water or 30-40 minutes.) 1 can canned evaporated milk (i use the non-fat) 1/4 cup cooking oil 1.5 cup corn flake crumbs 1 egg 1 cup chopped walnuts 1 tsp salt 1/2 tsp sage 1 onion chopped Mix ingredients together and bake in a greased casserole dish at 350 degrees for 45 min to 1 hour. |
Hi everyone!
I'm up a few pounds from my last weigh-in but still below my starting point. It's that time of the month for me so I think that is the reason because I have been really good about sticking to my calorie counting. I haven't been drinking NEARLY enough water so that probably doesn't help either...definitely need to work on that. Today was my cheat day again. I still counted though...I went around 300 cals over which wasn't too bad I thought. But almost looking forward to starting again fresh tomorrow. The burger and fries I had for dinner just stuffed me...I've gotten used to eating smaller portions more often a day and my body feels better when I do that so I did suffer a bit for my cheat day! :D Hope everyone has a wonderful week! Take care! |
Hey there just wanted to say hi to everyone, got back from vacation at disneyland and now the busyiness starts. Need to get everything organized and finalized for homeschooling so we can really get in gear and on schedule. I have my new job at s-bucks nights and weekends and then the kids are both in soccer! Yikes things get so busy so I just set some easy goals and I can get to my goal weight by August 24th, and since none of the goals are too strict I think its doable!!
Hope all are good and will try to keep up on this as much as possible, probably more so once we get into a groove with homeschooling. Echo |
Hello everyone! It's been a little while since I've been on. LOL!
Well I'm gearing up for my vacation. I leave for San Diego on Wednesday, I will be gone for 10 days, and I won't have any computer access. Well I might but I doubt it. I'm trying to have a technology free time! LOL! My weight has been steady, but I need to really lay off the sodium it doesn't help! I hope not to gain anything on my vacation, I would be happy with maintaining. Well I need to get back to cleaning but thought I stop by and say HELLO! I'll pop on to do the personals tonight! Bye! |
I'm a bit of a noob to these forums, so this is my first time posting in one of these threads. Not sure why, but I'm nervous lol.
I've been doing surprisingly well this week and last week -- I think I'm finally getting used to restricting calories. The only day I went over my calorie limit was on Saturday, and that was a planned "binge", as my family was going out to dinner. My only complaint is that I've found I had to lower my cal intake by 100 because my weight-loss seems to have hit a plateau... although part of that might have to something to do with me getting a bit lazy in the exercise department ;). Anyway, if you guys have any advice on how to move past these annoying plateaus, aside from the obvious, I'd love to hear it. I've heard that cycling between varying levels of calories (1200 one day, 1400 the next, 1600 on the third, wash, rinse, repeat) can trick your metabolism into not adjusting to your diet, but that seems a bit too good to be true. :halfempty I'm actually amazed that I don't ever feel overly hungry, as I expected to when I first started counting cals. It's pretty easy to pack a satisfying amount of food into a 1400/day diet, so long as you know which foods have a lower calorie concentration... baby carrots and low cal soups are a god send, haha. |
Todays totals:
calories 1227 fat: 19g 16% carbs: 186g 55% protein: 81g 29% fiber:32 calories and fat were on the low side, but I'm adjusting calories for supper tomorrow night. Oktoberfest starts at Old Chicago and my husband wants to go, so that means beer and pizza. This week has been good so far. It doesn't seem as busy as last week but its only Tuesday. CoolMom75: thanks for the recipe...I think I'll make it this weekend, it sounds really yummy. Soontobe: I know what you mean about getting stuffed after a burger and fries. I used to get the super sized version and eat the whole thing and sometimes still be hungry, now I get a reg sized meal and can't finish the whole thing without making myself sick. Edzard: I know what ya mean about being busy all the time. It seems like once August rolls around we are running nonstop til May. Tinky009:Have fun in San Diego. You'll have to let us know how the trip was when you get back. Take Care Bridgette. |
Hi all! I'm a newbie to the calorie counting and to 3fc. I just joined 3fc earlier this week. I have never counted calories before. I am becoming much more aware of what I eat and how much I eat. A major problem I had was portion control. I am overcoming that and starting to exercise. My goal is to stay below 1600 calories/day. I was adding up yesterdays cals and I was shocked at how many calories I had, not because I went over, but because I was under 1000. I know that's not healthy so I'm trying to find the happy medium.
