Default Any truth to it? Im going crossed eyed!

Anorexics call it a 2468 diet... 200 cals one day,400 the next,600 & 800 then back to 200.... ok that is utter madness!

Normal people do a thing called " Shuffeling Calories". Maybe 1200,1300,1400,1500 and back 1200. Or just what ever number is good for you and your heighth

I like the idea of my metabolism burning 24/7. i can totally handle eating whole grains, fruit veggies, lean meat... no sweets, just do you think shuffling would help.... i dont know all there is to know about metabloism... im still really new to loosing this weight...( lost years before.. younger and not as big) i dont want to platue... and i want to make this a life style change... not a diet... but for keeps.

I figure i drop 1000 cals a day for the amount it takes to maintain my weight to loose 2lbs a week.... when i lose the 2lbs recalculate. Whan i exersice off is extra... this ok?

Ps i read about vitamins and "natural" diet pills suppliments and such helping with metabolism and appitate suppressing but that just dont make since to me... you dont feel hungry... you dont eat.... at some point wont your metabolism slow down and you quit loosing?

Congrats on what you have lost so far. Sounds like you have a great plan.

I do calorie cycling. I bounce mine around. That way i can have a bit of a splurge once a week and it is tallied in. I love it. it is working great. It supposedly works because it keeps your body guessing at what you will do and since you have high days, your body doesnt freak out and hold on to the fat as much. Your body never thinks it is going to starve basically. If i do it right (i have a tendancy to have too many high days if i am not careful) but if i do it right, like i am supposed to, i dont platuea...awesome.

Good luck.

propanalol - normally it's not recommended to go below 1200 calories a day. So - why not something more like sat 1000 C sun 1100 C mon 1200 C tues 1300 C wed 1500 C thurs 1500 fri 1400? This averages out to 1285 a day. Much below that and you won't get enough nutrients to fuel your body.

First off, chick in the hat is right, its never a good idea to dip below 1200 on any given day.

What i do is take an average for the week. At this point, i aim for an average of 1600 or less a day after the week is said and done. So some days are 1400some days are 1500, but friday is usually my high day, because it is my weigh in day. My high day is usually around 2000, which is know seems high, but for me, it is a lifestyle deal. I know i will always have birthdays, holidays, etc. So i allow for that one day to have that birthday cake, or that special treat.

A good example of my week would be:

fri: 2000
sat: 1500
sun: 1700
Mon: 1500
Tues: 1600
Wed: 1400
Thurs: 1400

As long as i range between 1500-1700 a day for an average of the week I am happy. I find that doing it this way really gives you a lot of wiggle room, while also being great for avoiding a platuea. For me, if my body gets too used to the same routine, it will get stuck. With my friday being that high, my body never feels like it has to "reserve" for that famine, so to speak.
