I love the Sunchip ones and the Cheetos. I found a 100 calorie Reeses Mix bags and they are my new favorite :)

I love the 100 calorie packs, especially the Oreo ones. Like other people have said, they're pretty nutritionally void, but they satisfy my craving for sweets without blowing my whole diet.

I am with Robin about not really being able to stop at one I think. Sugary things just get to me. If I had a six-pack of them they would be gone in two days, if that......Though, if I could buy one of them, just randomly at a 7-11 or something I think it would work. But I don't really know what these Hostess snacks you're talking about are really......what are Hostesses?

I think that I might pick some of these up today! I am officially recommiting myself to CC

Never - I try not to eat packaged foods. I also have a sugar weakness (and fake sugars set it off too). If I ate a 100 calorie snack pack, I would want 5. I'd honestly rather eat an orange. If I really wanted to treat myself, I'd rather have a really decadent small piece of dark chocolate.

I bought the carrot cake and chocolate cupcake ones yesterday, and I was quite impressed. I split a carrot cake pack with my mom and coming from an anti-diet food person, she loved them.

Hostess is a brand of snack foods. The packs mentioned here are 3 mini chocolate cupcakes that have 100 calories.

Haha, I'm the same way. The only way 100 calorie packs would work for me is if there were only one pack in the whole package!

I'm with Glory!
I gave up sugar 15 months ago and it was the best thing I ever did. I just came to a point in my life (after 40 years) that I really didn't need to put anything in my mouth that didn't have any nutritional value. I know not everyone can do this but it truly changed my life. Fruit has become my "dessert" and I have never felt better in my life!

I've never had the 100 calorie packs, I will have to check them out. I usually eat a kellogs Smart Start healthy heart cinnamon bar when I have a snack craving. Its 150 calories so not quite as low-cal, but it keeps me full for awhile. My boyfriend calls them my 'street smart' bars.

blueberry3 03-28-2007 05:39 PM

I've actually had those before, and I like them...I eat them as my breakfast bar, though, I had never thought to eat them as a snack.

The reason I love the Hostess ones is because I definitely have a sweet tooth (who are we kidding? A CHOCOLATE tooth!) and these allow me to have a controlled amount of cupcakey goodness while still staying on track in terms of calories. And agreed with the rest of the folks - they taste great :)

I'm not too sure about these hostess cupcakes anymore....SO far calorie wise I'm doing good today, so thought hey I'll have that 100 calorie pack with my afternoon tea....maybe its because of PMS but it triggered something and I was like .....AHHHHH NEED MORE!!! Proceeded to eat another pack.....stopped there but I really could have eaten them all if I didn't physically get out of the house for a bit...Maybe this time of month I should avoid all sweets.... :dizzy:

This evening I've been snacking on some grapes I picked up today for .99lb!! I washed a bunch for the kids and I normally dont like grapes but WOOHOOO yummy!!! so much better than those cupcakes I ate earlier!! I'm gonna have to go back and get some more...the kids are eating them all up!!

I couldn't agree more! I really go out of my way to avoid anything processed or pre-packaged. My body just feels so much better.

I've had the 100-calorie Chips Ahoy and Cheese Nips. I fell in love with the Cheese Nips, lol. I'm more a salt fiend than a sugar fiend. The portion control worked well for me. But now that I know that 20 Cheese Nips = 100 calories, I buy the regular-size box and I count out the 20 nips and put the box away. I'm discovering I have more discipline than I thought. I'd be really frustrated if I couldn't have any salty snacks but I can be satisfied with less than I thought. I mean, my method of losing weight these past three months has been to eat fewer calories and exercise more. It's really been more about portion control and substitution for me, not restriction...and, for myself, I've observed that I can keep some junk food in the house and not pig out on it. Before, I was buying cans of Pringles and eating 1/2 can a day...the 100-calorie packs became my substitution snack. Now, "Salt Monster" can have her 20 Cheese Nips and go merrily on her way. :p

Hmm...Definitely understand getting cravings :) The reason the cupcake packs tend to work for me is because I can just throw a pack into my bag before work and it's a great afternoon snack. Then I don't have the whole box in front of me to worry about (but they ARE yummy so i totally understand) ;)
