Question will a tan look be better for arms flab

My arm when it settles along my sides sometimes looks like a curdled skin mess. Ugh. I really hate how it looks and it's not an always incident but often when it rests to my side it just looks so bad to me. Do you think the skin flab, curdle look would go away with a tan? or will it look worse, just trying to see if anyone here tried to hide it with color! thanks

It's possible! My mom has lost a lot of weight and as a result of that (plus age I guess) has the same issues. She goes to the beach a lot and it definitely looks a lot better tanned.

I have the same issue with my belly and when I was tanning (indoor), it looked better. It still bothered me though and I decided the cost+skin damage wasn't worth it to still hate it.

Good luck with what you choose and congrats on the weight you've lost!!!!

I myself do think that skin with color always looks better, to me. So I use a slow-tanning moisturizer, or L'Oreal Sublime Bronze. I HATE my upper arms and am so self conscious of them, but a teeny bit less self conscious if they have some color.

A bronzer or self tanner is a great way to go to prevent skin damage. I'm an esthetician and I see a lot of terrible sun damage and skin cancer.

Personally I prefer being milky white and not worrying about skin cancer or orange streaks from the self tanner! I'm sure you see it as much worse than it is. We all have a different perception of the way we look than others around us.

I think all skin looks better with some color on it. Which is probably why I love wearing sleeveless shirts in my convertible. :-D

Any amount of tan or color equals sun damage and, IMO, doesn't look better or healthy. It's damage, plain and simple. I'm all about embracing paleness (after a scare with melanoma) and feel like self-tanners just help perpetuate the myth that tan equals young and thin. I say pick up some dumbbells and get your arms nice and toned, that will help fill out the skin and make you look AWESOME!
