Default When at your journey did you get your tummy tuck

So for almost a year now I have been around the same weight (within 5-10 pounds). I’m down to a medium in my top (sometimes a large) and one of my problems with my bottom is that I have what appears to me to be a ton of extra skin that makes my pants either be really tight at the waist and fit elsewhere or super baggy elsewhere and fit at the waist. It’s giggly, wrinkly, and hollow looking. But I’m still boardline obese.

I’ve been debating going to see a plastic surgeon. I know ultimately they are the only ones that can determine if I am at a point to get a tummy tuck (or more likely a lower body lift) but I was wondering how close to what they thought their ultimate goal weight they were. More then a goal weight I really would like to be a size 6 or 8 and a medium top.

PS I have read the thread at the top I just wanted more opinions.

HOnestly I'm planning on a tummy tuck, but not until after I've reached and maintained my goal for 9-12 months.

I know that my skin has tightened up recently (I posted about it on another thread where my waxer pointed out that things were tightening up) even though the weight I've lost has been gone over a year now.

I will eventually get one but here is my concern even with eating healthy and exercising consistently I'm not losing any more weight. So my concern is that since I am only 24 and because of being heavy all my life that it might have stalled my weight loss and I don't know if I will be able hit my goal weight (or size) without having comsetic surgery.

The first procedure I got was a TT and I got it when I weighed approx. 170lbs because I didn't know if I could lose anymore weight and my clothes did not fit properly (sound familiar, Rememberhowto?? ) and I really wanted that g-awful "apron" off of me before I started grad school in a new city. And that was almost 2yrs into my weight loss. Happily and Surprisingly enough I managed to lose just over 40 more lbs... which has only served to make the result better, not worse or anything. And, if I had to do it all over again, I would have gotten it at the same point. It was also an impetus for me to lose even more weight I think and also it was a very concrete physical change (and financial investment as well as time, sweat, blood and tears!) that made it "real" for me that I was NEVER going to gain that weight back or be obese ever ever ever again!!!

Photo - I exercise 75 minutes a day 3-5 times a week. I've lost all of my weight calorie counting I've tried changing my calorie intake from as low as 1200 to as high as 1500 but I'm still not losing weight. Most of my diet is chicken, rice, and veggies. I don't eat simple carbs like white rice, bread or pasta only whole grains.

Charlotte - That is really helpful to know. Can I ask a personal question ... how tall are you? I notice your numbers are similar to my goal, and your starting it close to mine so I'm just curious.

Have you tried incorporating some weight lifting or body resistance or are you doing all cardio?

I'm just trying to think of what my help kick start your loss again.

I know I stalled in the 170s for a long while and had to really mix things up with HIIT and weights to get the losing going again.
