Thanks for posting the threads Mel :-)

Hi everyone well this is our way of keeping on track between the challenges. Please join in and keep the motivation coming. With the holidays just around the corner I would say most of us need some form of accountability. Well I do anyway...lol

Well I'm still walking after my crazy day yesterday so that's a plus. I did a 10k, 6 loads of laundry, 4 flights of stairs about 15 times, vacuumed house top to bottom, flipped mattresses, and went groceries. Lucky the heel spur stayed the same...so exercise can't hurt it I guess....caused it but doesn't hurt it. Go figure

Well having my morning coffee then dashing to work. Monday's are usually my crazy day so here's hoping for a bit of sanity mixed in

Have a great OP day everyone.

Congratulations to all of our biggest losers on both teams

Where did everyone go? LOL
I guess everyone is gearing up for Christmas?
We have our lights up outside, but I refuse to turn them on until Dec. 1st.

Bigmid- what kind of treadmill do you have? I've probably asked before. This time of year I always look- but I didn't think DH would ever agree to buy one.

So, my husband and my daughter have both talked to me since Thanksgiving Day and said they don't want me to lose any more weight. I would really like to be closer to 130, but I certainly don't want them to worry that I'm being compulsive about this weight thing. I have reset my alarms to only go to the gym MWF and I'll decide about the weekends when they come around. I have been at the gym nearly every day since early June, only taking off if I was out of town, or had a medical appointment in the morning. It's going to take some getting used to, but I will try. Anyone else have to scale back on exercise?

Hi everyone how's it going. I've been crazy at work and not getting breaks or leaving on time. 2hrs overtime yesterday an hour today and it's only going to get worse.....ahhhhh retail at Christmas. Super fun

At least yesterday even getting home 2hrs later I still got on the treadmill for what was going to be a quick workout but once I was on I stayed on for 50min of incline training:-). Today I did not mom has new issues since surgery so I came home and got her fed and then it was already 8pm and I will be doing an early workout tomorrow so fell by the wayside today. Ran around lots at work though.

Mel its a Nordic Track 2150C - it's great as I can use ifit and google maps and run anywhere in the world. It has a 10" screen so you actuall get street view as well. Did 10k along the Vancouver Seawall on Sunday.....so pretty.
P.S. love, love, love having the treadmill. Should have got it a few years ago instead of the elliptical.....which I new I hated ellipticals but mom thought for sure she would use it....nope. I should start using it again too just to shake up the workouts. Would like to get ride of the elliptical and get a bike though.

PageLynn - how's the new combo working out for you...do I need to change things up too?

rwquilts - did you Chang your goal as your ticker says 140 and your less than that now. You look great! If you enjoy the exercise why can't you still do it just cut back a little on the intensity or the time. You could also just up your calories just a bit to counter act the workouts but you will still be maintains good muscle tone. Just a thought

Well it's midnight so should be sleeping as I need to get my workout in before my work shift starts. Working late tomorrow night.

Hoping we don't get to much more snow, hate taking the bus when it so late at night. Want to be able to drive tomorrow.

Good night

BigMid - I have dropped 5 lbs of water weight I had gained back during thanksgiving. It's nice to see the scale go back down. I still have 4 lbs to go to get back to my ticker. I want your treadmill lol!

Hello everyone, it really has been crazy busy. From November - Mid-December is my busiest time of the year. We host two major Global Meetings back to back in November; add in Thanksgiving and then it rolls right into December and Christmas activities. This year our department adopted several children from the Salvation Army Angel Tree, then we have a Department meeting that will include a small Christmas Party, we are also coordinating the big Division "Holiday Spread" and by the time we get finished it will be mid-December and I will walk in and find everyone left on vacation. I never saw a department close down so nearly completely the last two weeks of the year. If you need something done you had better have it done by December 15 or plan on waiting until next year. But that just means I'm justified in taking the last week of December off because there is no need for me to be here.

I've been holding my own with my weight, I think I may be down 1/2 lb but the scale bounces around so much I can't be sure, I just no I'm NOT up and that is good. With all these meetings they expect me to sit down and eat with them. Basically I'm following South Beach so it is pretty easy for me to unwrap the wraps and stick to plan pretty close. Yesterday we had BBQ and I don't know for certain what was in the sauce so I was careful with it but it didn't trigger any cravings so I guess I did alright. Fortunately my DH is out hunting so I haven't had to come home and prepare anything special for dinner. So I've allowed my lunch to be the primary meal this week and went extra light in the evening.

BigMid, your treadmill sounds wonderful. I've had a couple that I've worn right out. This last time I replaced with an elliptical 1) because the doctor said it would be better on my knees and 2) because my daughter wanted to use it with me. I don't mind using it but I really preferred the treadmill. For some reason my toes go to sleep when I use the elliptical for very long. I also have my recumbent bike that I love. I never thought I would, I hate stationary bikes, but for some reason the recumbent is at such an angle that I love the way it makes my legs work so that is sitting in the living room begging me to use it. Even with nice equipment I am struggling getting into an exercise routine. I am away from the house so much. My DH works 12 hour days and we carpool. That means on an early day we are away from the house 14 hours and if he is on a long run it can be 9pm before we get back home. M-F we really don’t do anything at the house but sleep. Eating is even hit and miss if something happens that delays his getting off on time, like a blowout (which happens way to often in semis). So our jobs are really killing my exercise routine. I am giving a lot of thought to possibly driving myself to work a couple of times a week to allow some time to work out. But then I look at the mileage on the car and the price of gas and decide I need to figure out something better.

Does it sound like I am just making up excuses or I really have an impossible schedule? Did I mention he’s a trucker and his run changes daily and he picks up his bills of laden when he arrives in the morning so there isn’t any options to plan ahead. I’ve tried joining classes and working out while I wait for him and invariable those days he gets in early and we could actually have gone home a decent season. There is just no way to win that I can figure. Any ideas?

Hello everyone! I am kind of desperate to get my eating back on track. I have been juggling so much in my life right now and have totally lost control. I really need to try something different and I think I might use one of your challenges as a motivator. I just cant let myself get any bigger than I already am. When will the next one be?

Hi Katrina the next challenge will start in January but feel free to start posting here as we are keeping ourselves accountable between challenges.
The nutrition and exercise threads are also great for tracking.
Welcome

Well had another long and very crappy day at work today and will be talking to the other manager about her scheduling skills. Holy crap I was swamped today and my customers are suffering because of her lack of having people in her dept so I'm working both by myself. Getting to old for this.

Then after my long 12hr day yesterday found out ifit did a change over and all my workout logs are lost. They say the treadmill ones will appear again but they also changed my iPhone app one and said nothing else changed......sure did says I've done nothing so far. I took pictures before I updated and will send them in but it demotivating to see everything back at zero. Can't log into my account either super sad face. Will try the treadmill tomorrow and see if it works. Haven't worked out in a couple days to to working such long hours and being so tired from it. Off for the weekend though so hope to get a few good ones in.

EofAZ I think the toes going to sleep is a typical problem on the elliptical I've heard of alot of people that happens to. I've had that happen to me a few times too. I would like a bike do make sure to enjoy yours for me too. You do sound like you have alot in your plate right now so take time for yourself wherever you can squeeze it in. Good job on holding steady on the weight. Thats a plus this time of year.

Well going to go veg for a bit. Typing this on my phone and it's so small I can't see what I'm typing so there may be lots of mistakes....oh well it will just keep you all guessing at what im trying to say....lol

Morning everyone well I got back down to my October 2nd weight (well close .6off).
I lost 3.4lbs this week:-)
I was hopin to be back down to 171 by end of Nov...Dec 2 171.6 so that's not bad. And I never even got to post that low last challenge as it was a Tuesday. So at least the scale is doing something for me again. Even though I didn't exercise that much this wee due to crazy work my eating was 110% and tons of water. So even if this is water weight as long as it stays off im happy.
It's my work Christmas party tonight so I'm hoping I make good choices. I'm sure I'll have something not great but I will eat good all day and then back full again during the week. Shouldnt hurt to bad as Sunday was always my treat day before and I did okay with that.

Hahnj- awesome job! Congrats

Well hope the rest of you have a great day. Talk to you later.
